RE: MVVS 1.20 with long pipe
AJF, I was referring to the twin... A 1.20 single was not produced in my time... The smallest big single is now the 1.60 (26 cc) and previously it was the 1.50. Can you please post a digiphoto of your engine? The new carburettors MVVS uses are much better than the older ones. Some customers... the 13 mm MVVS fit the 0.5" carburettor hole in the crankcase. As for the normal R/C carburettor

RE: 3204 cannister installation on MVVS45
Sure: It angles down or up 1", depending whether you have the P (down) or B (up) version. On a twin they are both needed to bring the cans together side by side. [image]http://mvvs.nl/MVVS/photos/3204.jpg[/image]

MVVS .49 fuel
Hello all. I just got a pair of MVVS .49 engines (one counter rotating) for a twin project... but these i will run 500-600 from max). Does the best fuel for MVVS engines depend on the muffler used... muffler. Why does MVVS and the experts on this forum recommend 20% oil (at least half castor... the difference between OS and MVVS here? Regards RCer.

RE: I LOVE my MVVS
I have the following set up: MVVS "Red Head" 1.60 IFS (twin magnet spark ignition) with a Bisson Inverted Pitts silencer, outlet tips not modified Props: I have tried the following on my 72" span Sukhoi-31: 1. Zinger Wood 20 x 6 (balance appalling, not good, plane did not fly... was an understatement. The little MVVS is my first ignition engine and it never misses a beat. A little persistence

RE: MVVS 58cc Muffler
Haris, It is a known fact that large single cylinder engines vibrate more strongly than smaller ones, or than opposed twin cylinder engines. The Bisson muffler that you have is a reverse engineered product, designed, perhaps to fit this MVVS engine. I have never actually seen this muffler on this engine and MVVS cannot take this responsibility, since it is an after-market product One thing

RE: Questions regarding 1.44 twin cylinder 2 strokes
Steve, The MVVS twin cylinder 1.2 and 1.44 have been receiving mixed comments. Some say they are difficult to adjust for an even distribution of mixture to both cylinders. I have had no experience so far with these engines. I strongly suggest that you contact Jan Karlsson (JAKA) in these RCU pages. He is the MVVS rep. in Sweden. He will no doubt, be able to help you more than I can. Sorry.

Questions regarding 1.44 twin cylinder 2 strokes
Hello I have purchased a pair of MVVS 1.44 twin’s for my next scale twin and have a few questions I was hoping you could answer for me. Is there a preferred method to install these engines... from flooding with the carb mounded underneath/inverted ( this is how it has been sent from MVVS... MVVS state that synthetic is not to be used. Is there a possibility of the synthetic attacking

RE: 1.60 Glow Engine Oil Content
converted to running on glow fuel (I consider the MVVS 1.60 somewhat in the same category... that has been store in the garage. I would have thought the MVVS 1.60, since it is designed... in the twin-needle carb version I have, but I may want to use it to power a Perry regulator pump later.

MVVS .49 needle setting
I have two of these .49 engines mounted in my twin. I have five tanks of 5% XP Sport fuel ran through each engine on the bench. XP is 75% synthetic 25% Castor and 20% oil It was a really good beginning to a break in, very impressive. Both engines were primed and started on the first flip. I installed a counter rotating crank in one of the engines and it runs the best. Went to the field

1.60 Glow Engine Oil Content
Hi Dar, Congrats on the new forum and thanks for taking on the job. I have several of the new blue head 1.60 glow engines with RC style twin-needle carbs. I am waiting on BCM mufflers to arrive to bench-run them. I am usually not fussy about glow fuel oil content and always err on the plus side... engines. However, I have read that MVVS has changed oil content recommendation for the 1.60 and 2.15
