RE: diff oils
ORIGINAL: HimotoRacingUSA hope your feeling better bro, quit smoking!!!!
Yea that would be a good idea.
Based on what I have seen at the Various Pro Races at the Tracks around my House,,,,,The Pros and accomplished Amatuers run Lighter fluid in the Front Diff, most of the Time. You can Tell by looking at the Tire wear patterns on their Buggies and Truggies. The front Tires are always nearly Bald at the end of the race. This indicates to me that they are Spinning the Fronts a lot more to aid in Steering. They run this way, even though the tracks around here are Hard Packed......
Exactly, I love the way the truggy pushes into the corners, it allows me to power thru them. [:D]

RE: Electric or Nitro, Why?
ORIGINAL: Redharris I used to be a Pure Nitro Freak......but I'm now Learning to appreciate Electrics too. It Definitely takes more Thought and Skill to run Nitro and I really enjoy the Challenge..... When I am feeling Competitive,,,,give me Nitro any day of the week...... I Will Say This though; I don't think I have ever had so much fun as when I am on the Track with my Slash and a whole Bunch of other Slash guys at the same time!
Your a slash GUY LOL. I new it......[:D] Nitro all the way, its loud, mean, and a hell of alot of fun.

RE: diff oils
Hey Brian, I got your message. I run on a sandy track so I run thinner in the front. I perfer the fronts to spin at our club races, believe it or not it gives me and edge that I love, Its more difficult to control, but Im pretty good with it. Eddies right about the heavier in the front to keep the wheels from spinning, I set my stuff up based on track conditions. For me On hard pack I what the front diff heavy in sand I want it light. I put my settings in the RXT thread based on my local track conditions. Let me know if you have any other questions. Tony
ORIGINAL: neyou86 i have mine at 3 turns out on the hsp and it seems to be running rich, so idk about 3 and a half turns out
I gave him the stock settings so he could start again. The fun of the hobby is to tweak on these motors. Your tune is different than mine, different than his etc. However the base settings are the settings i gave him.

RE: Really a differnce?
I have to agree with focus on this one. I am a club racer and drive a himoto RXB-1. I have hi tech servos, proline tires and a nomadio react radio system. I use the go tech .21 race mill and love it. The buggy it self was 269, and is now a very competative buggy. You can always upgrade somethings and see if you like to race.

RE: best after run oil?
There are many schools of thought on this subject. Me, I use wd-40, thats because its cheap and does the job. Rclynx, has alot of experience, I mean alot. I know he uses afterrun. So what im trying to say, if it keeps moisture out and a thin layer of lube in, you should be fine with either product. The best afterrun is the brand that RClynx recommended. [:)]

RE: losing power?
ORIGINAL: HimotoRacingUSA a little leakage is normal on a used engine, only a new engine will have no leakage. After a few tanks that pinch is worn away enough to not be so airtight, i wouldnt worry about that. Sound like you could have a loose drive cup somewhere in the drive line or maybe the flywheel is loose and slipping. It could be a bad diff gear, make sure the plastic hex's on the rims are not rounded out. Just a few things to check.
In addition check your grub screws on the drive cups. [:)]
