RE: How to get a refund from Fly Eagle Jets?
ORIGINAL: marcpamjoce
ORIGINAL: jet time First of all let me set the record straight: I am NOT a sponsored pilot nor am I ''rep'' for FEJ. I am a dealer for many brands and that is all. I pay for my planes and I wait as well as the rest of you. This attacking and BS twisting crap has gone way to far. How you guys can just get on here to see yourself in the ''lime light'' for 30 seconds is beyond me. HER ARE THE FACTS ON THIS ORDER: I had never had contact with the owner throught the entire transaction. It was all done through the builder whom initially contacted me. I gave him the price and told him 50% was required for the order (that is what FEJ required). This was on 10/23/12. He said the ''check was in the mail''. Five days later nothing had showed so another contact to the builder and on 10/29/12 a pay pal in the amount for $1000 was transfered. Another contact to the builder and I was told the rest would be there by the weekend. I told him I would get the order in as long as the money was on the way. I placed the order with James to get the ball started. Three weeks later no money. So, another call to the builder. On 11/27/12 $750 was sent...still way less than the 50% required. On 12/10/12 I contacted the builder once again and said I had cancelled the order. He said he was having ''issues'' with the buyer and would get it cleared up right away. I told him that I wasn't interested in continuing this order as it was so long to get to this point without the down payment that was needed. He said he really wanted to do this and I told him the only way I would place the order was payment in full as I didn't have faith in their payment schedule. On 12/12/12 $1750 was transfered. Again, not the total. It wasn't until 1/12/13 that they paid the ballance and on that day the order was placed and the money sent to China directly. Anyone that knows me knows I don't ''hold peoples money or float'' any money. I don't need to and thankfully never had. I have an excellant repution of doing what I say I will do. The tristing and lying and BS on here frankly has made me sick. I don't follow the forums any more at all and it is only when someone that cares contacts me and lets me know whats going on. For those people that have ordered planes from me you have ALWAYS had a call back from me or been contacted by me as to your status AS I KNOW IT. I am NOT the factory. I am a dealer and I do the best I can and the best service I can. I am not in China so can not see first hand. I to have to rely on what I am told. I do stay on it and I do care about this hobby and friends. The attacking is unfounded and out of line on here. You guys are doing more damage to the jet community than you will ever know. The shame should be on you. Lastly, Dantley, I really sick of you ''twisting'' everything around. We were in constant contact right from the beginning. I was doing all I could to help. You were and ARE absolutely impatient. You kept DEMANDING that the factory give you and answer NOW! They don't work that way. They needed time to try and figure out what happened. I asked you what you wanted. You told me a 1/7 scale F18. I said I would do what I could. When I didn't get a response back from the factory I told James I would get the plane and PAY FOR IT MY SELF. He said to wait. I said no, I need to do something for him. Remember that Dantley? James called me back an hour later and said we would split the cost and send it to Dantley. When I called you and told you this I explained that the factory had not made a decission yet but that we would do this for you. I even told you that this was ''from the heart'' Dantley because I cared about you. I DID ask you to tell people if they asked that the factory just took care of you and not disclose the terms. I also DID ask if you would ask the moderator to close the thread as the message was out but it was turning into another RCU witch hunt. NEVER was it an ultimatum or a condition to you recieving what you asked for. NEVER! Yet you have tristed it around and have continued to go on your rampage. That's fine...do as you wish, but to everyone that reads this and everyone that knows me THESE ARE THE FACTS. Again, I have stayed off the forums and will continue to do so. No attacking needed. Thank you. Lowell
I told you guys that Lowell is shady.  Now he knows about all the FEJ quality issues, will he be a man, step up, and stop reping FEJ?  It looks to me he is desperate for alittle commission and doesn't care about all of FEJ's issues or your personal belongings (jets).  Never attach your name to a company that is unethical and shady.  Goes to show what type of character he has, or i should i say, doesn't have.  Sleep tight Lowell.
You have a lot of nerve calling someone shady, you dont even know the guy and you talk bad about him, stay in Uganda, thats where you belong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Jets Over Kentucky 2013
Hey Lewis... I want to just double check with you. Mike Molnar and I sent you our checks for the tent rental very early in the off season. I just want to make sure you got us on the books. It should be Joe Westrich on the 2nd row in on the new tent that parallels the runway. Mike has the 3rd row in right next to me. I can't remember what numbers they were. Thanks!

RE: Pic's of Install for Skymaster Hawk
No problem with them. You only have 7 redundant channels through the Royal so there is no point in getting two 14ch Rx, unless you just want it to look symmetric. Your remaining channels go directly from the Rx, so you would use one side or the other but not both.

RE: Pic's of Install for Skymaster Hawk
I put the 160SX in it. Just before I flew it for the first time, I was worried it wouldn't be enough, but I was wrong. This engine combo is fantastic with the Hawk. If you have some extra cash to throw at it, buy the 180RX. I wouldn't put anything bigger in it. I posted a pic of the elevator servo setup. SM has some QC issues here and there, but I believe I have addressed them during my build. Overall, this is great flying plane. It was the smoothest maiden that I have ever done in the 20 years of flying. Luck or smart engineering, the plane seems to be perfectly designed for stable, smooth flying. You won't regret buying this one.

Incidently, I asked the same question when I put my 160 in my Euro and both Dave Wilshire and Andy Cane said the pipe will work just fine.

RE: Eurosport and G Booster 160
I am using the original pipe with a Jetcat 160SX. It works fine. The original pipe is heavy gage and is a bit heavier than the Tam pipe. I believe the additional weight is the only drawback. It doesn't bother me. I like a robust pipe that I know is not going to fail..... and I am not by defult saying that Tams pipe will.... I know Tam makes the best pipes in the biz. I am just saying the stock pipe is strong.

RE: Does anyone have exp with SM MB339?
That's exactly what I was guessing would happen. So you don't think it is unstable on take off with it being slightly tail heavy?

RE: Does anyone have exp with SM MB339?
I have. I scanned through it and found some good info like that most are putting the CG 3cm aft of the center of the tube. That still leave the two rear tanks aft the CG, minus the first 1 cm. The front tank is forward of the CG but its volume is less than the sum of the two rear tanks. No one in that thread mentioned specifically what the CG does from empty to full. I stole a picture from that thread to reference the tanks. You can't see the tube but it is just in front of the saddle tanks.

Does anyone have exp with SM MB339?
I am working on a Skymaster MB339 project and there is something I just don't get. The CG on the airframe is on the main spar, or very close, and 2 of the 3 fuel cells are behind the spar! The way I see it, is that if you balance the airframe empty, it will come out tail heavy when you fill the tanks. I have never built an airplane with the majority of the fuel sitting behind the CG. So..... Are you guy balancing empty, or full, or what?

Thanks for posting pictures guys. I was so focused on doing the maiden flight on the SM Hawk that I forgot my camera. I was worried I wouldn't have any pictures of it.
