RE: Lanier Monster Stinger
Just checked, it looks like they have the Giant wings (84") but not the Monster(106"). I emailed them, thanks for the info!

Lanier Monster Stinger
I'm getting ready to build a Stinger 120 and I've been looking for a Monster Stinger for some time. My question is, could I just have my 120 plans blown up to the 106" wing of the Monster and scratch build one? Would it be the same? Thanks!

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
No... Most nitro cars do not have reverse... the radio uses the forward motion of the trigger to apply the brakes....

Does anybody know the correct order for the adjustment screw on the 2 speed clutch? Is it Set screw then ball bearing then spring? or set screw spring then ball ?

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
I found that 2 speed trans is infact NOT working... took it apart tonight.,... the 2 speed clutch is not engaging... I inspected the little bar that comes out to engage second gear and it was stuck... once i was able to free it up it decides to come out all the time now... I ordered a new 2 speed clutch and I will call them tomorrow to discuss warranty for it... I felt it better to just order a 5.00 part and deal with warranty replacement later on.... Also question, have you guys encountered any issues with the throttle servo making a popping noise? Mine is doing this when braking.... I beleive it to be the servo arm but just curious.... I will discuss it with them tomorrow as well..... so far the car has been fun.... and quite a learning experience so far... but I'm loving the challenge.... You guys have a good night.... I will let you know my progress

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Out of curiosity.... One other problem that redcat said is "normal" but I don't know.... the plastic body has meltet right at the header and started melting at the muffler... I called redcat and they said the only fix is to cut the body arround where it is burnt.... is this ACUALLY normal? or have i not set something up correctly? I had the body mounted on the lower holes in the rear... they said that is the normal spot to mount the body... Just curious.... or should I investigate a different body for my s30 ? If i trim off all of the burnt plastic, most of the right side of the body will be missing.....

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Well, got my Volcano fired up and broke in... Had my first accident.. flipped it over the neigbors self standing basketball hoop.... did a roadside repair after a phone call to redcat to figure out how to put the right front dog bone back in.... bent the shock mount back out straight and fired her back up again... drove her for another 3 tanks.... I have a question though..... with the 2 speed trans in this thing it doesn't shift until it is it is well into top speed... is it normal to have to set them from the factory ? By the way.... This Thing is STUPID FAST !!!!! Hard for this newbie to control :) But Oh SO Much FUN!!!!

Thanks again for the advice... I appreciate all I the advice I can get.... what is the reason for heating it up first ? is that simply because of the nitro fuel ? What type of glow plug should I have on back up ? I see there are cold medium and hot...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
Thanks alot jeffie... I appreciate the opinion... My car should be here hopefully by wednesday... then I can start on the engine break in..... On you tube... Ali Shamnonm supposed to be an expert on redcat, said he recommends running 30% ... They sell that at my local hobby shop, do you think that would be ok or would 20% or so be better?

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread
So from what I have read, the Tornado S30 is a descent starter car? I am very BEW to Nitro... infact, I ordered my first car 2 days ago... and it is the Tornado S30.... price was a big factor in my choosing it.... I figured, Since I have't been in to RC in about 20 years and NEVER had anything to do with gas much less nitro... better to spend less to figure out if I like it or not.... but seems most of what I read is that it isnt a bad little starter vehicle.... any advice on what spare parts I should get ahold of to keep on hand asside from dog bones spurr gears?
ORIGINAL: BarracudaHockey What is it you're trying to accomplish? (assume I'm not going to sit through the video)
ummm.. okay.. 2 servos (left and right) using the right stick only on the DX7. when you pull back BOTH servos go down, when you push forward BOTH servos go up. when you go right JUST the right servo goes DOWN. when you go left JUST the left servo goes DOWN.
