RE: Hunter Twin Build
The servos to the far outside in matt's picture look too far outside to be for the drives (and a tad small as well). I think they may be for adjustable trim tabs Sweet boat!! Keep the pics coming!! [:D]

Has anyone gotten the truck wet yet? Curious as to how it will handle water/mud/snow. Thanks

What are the run times with both these vehicles? Are the both equally capable of handling water/snow/mud?

RE: Hunter Twin Build
Please keep us posted on the build with plenty of pictures. phil's hunter was the reason i got into R/C boats. I also looked into doing this same build. Hunter with S6 drives but i was planning to use a pair of inline motors. (one inline powering each S6). I too thought about the drive showers to keep the drives cool. Good luck with the build! I hope all goes well for you!!

RE: MHZ S6 III questions
from what i have heard, they do hold up well if connected properly but will only handle so much power. was told you must send the drive in to MHZ to be repaired but i would think it might be something you can take apart and try to have the gears made? maybe? phil's hunter looks amazing in the pictures, i wish i had to got meet him before he got rid of it. (canoe was sweet in person tho) i looked into the scale build and the hunter was the most realistic looking hull i could find. $$ is what stopped me...

RE: MHZ S6 III questions
5150, have you looked at the pictures of phils hunter yet? I think if you see those pictures, you will want the hunter. From what i have been told, none of the MHZ dealers outside of the US will deal with anyone from the US. (not trying to burst your bubble, just saying what i have heard) anyone know of the exact cause of the gear breaking inside the S6 drive? is it the heat or just that the gear will not take more than a single zen/sikk??

RE: New to RC Jets with a few ??
I'm leaning towards the F-18. Also, my thoughts are that i might be better off with a kit to get myself familiar with aircraft in more depth. Would this be best? I have been doing much research... and have a few more questions. For these jets, how many channels do i need to run? Saw Futaba had the new 7 channel with 2.4ghz but didn't know if 7 channels was enough. Thinking of getting the G4 sim, do i have to use the transmitter that comes with the program or can i plug any transmitter into my computer and use that? Thanks for all the help! It is greatly appreciated.

New to RC Jets with a few ??
I am here to ask of some help. I have been thinking of buying a turbine-sized jet to be used as a static display model. Looking to purchase a scale looking jet (maybe F-14, F-15, F-16, or F-18). My question (since i am a complete newbie to anything air R/C) what model and manufacturer would everyone recommend that might be relatively simple to assemble. I would like this static model to have the potential to be flown in the future (I obviously don't plan to jump right in and learn/start flying on a turbine jet). Is it possible to assemble the jet without engine and electronics and add these at a later date or would the jet have to be disassembled again? Thanks for the help!

I don't know that you can go to the german store. I think you have to deal with the US dealer. I will soon find out how it is dealing with MHZ as i plan to build one of their hulls.

RE: 84 inch apache
i think that engine was a 2 X 35 quickdraw. That was a beautiful boat. If you want to run quickdraws, i think you will have to use the S6 drive and not the RCM drive (this is what i hear, i have no personal experience with either) I think stern drives look more realistic/scale but if its just a boat for fun, surface drives will be less money and less complicated.

RE: Biggest Boat ?
typically with a larger build, a single zenoah might not be up to the task. also, plan to have a large budget for a larger build. i am still somewhat new to the boating world and was talked out of a twin setup due to the difficulty in building and tuning so you may want to keep that in mind. good luck with your choice and keep us posted.

RE: Thunderbolt Build
I had top secret hardware on my thunderbolt. You planning to race or just for fun? I liked the look of the dual rudder set-up i had. Ran the water pick-ups through the rudder as well. I know a clutch has been installed on a thunderbolt but i know it was very tight. I did without clutch.
