Scotty mate, That's looks tops. I need a white A, U & S in white, 50mm(5cm) x 2. Whitworths only do black letters in 50mm, no white. If you can help with the white A, U and S, I would love it. Thanks again champ, but don't go out of your way. I will cover all costs for this one.[:D] Peter

Thanks Scott, We have another tunnel rat here and we must guide him. Like I said, the man posted on waters with min response. If you or JC or anyone with UL1 motor experience, should help. Being the most friendly and tip giving f/e forum on EARTH. Any news of your beast? Peter

RE: 1st boat, lets hear it!
Well mate, your zig zag must be nuthin' like our reef racers on brushless. Amuses the boys no end and me.[:D] Love the Tonka, boys have them too. I meant no malice with your job. Employee of the year trophy and engraved watch is good. Been there, done that, redundant soon after. Ok, get a H&M Skater tunnel with Neu 1515/1Y, 42mm prop, 5s 5000MaH lipo, 240 amp esc, blah blah blah. Shall I go on? Your $250 will be better spent on weekend holiday with wife/the boy. Anything else?

RE: 1st boat, lets hear it!
Hi Reb, If 'work' asked me into a free dinner and gave me $250, I would be most suss mate.[X(] I know you like the sv27, but the little fella & yourself will have great fun with a reef racer till you get the faster boat later. This way, jnr will be very confident when it comes to the sv27, and he will be better than you/me. Half spent on the Mrs to keep her happy, whatever, shoes, shiny things & half on the boys mate for man stuff. Just my thoughts. Peter

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Gday Brad, Me again, from Waters. Welcome firstly & thanks for reading the forum.[:D] No probs with dunking brushless outboard into the water. Not sure on ul1 motor, but I am sure others here have used it. I use a 100amp in one of the tunnies, but it is HV esc. What is your make of esc? TS2, like you have heard, will handle good power setup. Try 4s 5000MaH lipo, 30c min. Don't go over 5s, ask me! I do not use 215, but Octura 438, 440, 442 & abc 40x53. Not sure on the painting of a TS2 unless your a pro & know what your doing? I don't think 2 x 3s in parallel 2200 would shift ya tunnie to great speed. Tunnel rats from the US/Canada here will help & guide you. Pete Repeat.

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
No, Bobs bat boat is a cheapy ebay Wingrush. I think it would be a copy of the Graupner B-24. Bob purchased the outboard when he went to Germany for the Oktoberfest.[:D][:D][:D] Bob thought he purchased 2 x GTX800 models, but they are dolphins. Such an amber state he must have been in![:D] She is electric and we think 820BB turbo brushed. Not sure, as the original owner made the cooling coil so well, we do not wish to take it apart. Version 3 I'm making, will have trim tabs & turn fins. JC, this is great amusement my friend. We are excited to show you as usual. Fun like reef racer. I also have 2 tunnels ready now.[8D] Yacht shmot. Been very windy all week.[:@] Both Phantoms ready to sail. People keep telling me at rcgroups forum our yachts are crap. Bobos and I will try early 2morro again. Would like you there mate for tips on the yacht one day. Pete out.

Morning, Computin' early today so we can test the Wingy before the wind starts blowing a gale. Scott, that servo arm is Bobs bling. Everything about our mono is a major concern, lol.[:D][:D] Re: the flex arms. My Lawless and KB drive use these shortened jobbies of approx 90mm. The REK and the OS use the 120mm shaft like your one. I just wanted to know about the bullet, so thanks again. The bloke that modded the lawless, mods the flex shaft too, to save me the hassle. Sounds like your getting closer to running? Peter

Humorous Tunnel Rats, Further to my discussion about mindless boats being built. Re: Post #468 & #482. I am doing this whilst getting all 4 tunnies running at once, for once.[:D] Homeless people and bums like Bob & my mates, just drop off boats at my shed and tell me to make them fast - for a $1.[;)] You know we are talking Bob's OUTBOARD BRUSHED Wingrush.[;)] We did test part 2 yesterday @ Sydney Park again. It went better, but still needs shed work. I will not bore you with vid again, thank crikey. Test 3 of this most st@p*d boat will involve what is in the pics.[:D][:D] We use the fishing rod and small sinker for this one as the ducks are extremely violent in this pond boys. RE: Brushed motor quickly stops?
Hi, Nah that's cool. I run f/e tunnels with brushless and have the option of brake on or off. I set it to brake on. In the old days when we used brushed cans, we were able to programme the esc also to brake on/off. I thought maybe that could be the problem. Is there a team orion forum you could possibly ask? Peter

RE: Scratch Build for Reef Racer II guts?
Hi, Don't ebay the guts. Put them away or give them to friends. I ebayed guts of NQD and got 99c, lol. I can see the fun you & the boy must be having with overpowered reef racers! I'm a fan myself of r/r. One of them runs so fast, it is actually useless. We even tried a custom cut down X427. We are converting it to a rigger now.![:D] My mate must have had a brain spasm, as he has 4 of them, and I nagged him to let me modify one.[:D] We put the brushed inards of a torn out Losi Mini Slider car into another of his r/r's. On 2s it is ideal. Also, another funny boat is Kyosho MiniZ F1 hull with optional X motor and 350MaH 2s lipo. No where near the performance of the r/r, but the boat is tiny and quick. You know those boats they have in Asia with very thin hull but long, and a motor attached to a huge pole with prop at the end? Like in one of the James Bond films? I would like to make one of those for a laugh. All these bits will come in handy one day. Peter

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Gday Ryan, Autumn, I think is the best time of year here. Usually, temps drop a bit and the humidity drops. You can still swim, sea water temp on most of the NSW coast is 24c. It is the humidity that kills us, sometimes 90%, any time of year now. The fellas in Darwin, when or if it ever gets below 30c, they complain it is cold. So funny. Peter

RE: The Unofficial Outboard FE Tunnel Thread
Hi Chip, Good news about your weather! I am laughing for you as not only do you have a tunnel, but a recovery kayak! Best of both worlds. Try and take a buddy, always useful for filming/motivation/to reassure you/get your boat and also some one to blame and someone to drive[:D] If I find a fresh waterway, I'll suss it out for a bit. Run the boat and respect the people that use the area. I never want to upset anyone, but again, I won't put up with the wretches that think they own it. I ran a f/e tunnel during a bass fishing comp and no one spewed. They dropped lines and watched and near all of them wanted to see what it was! Another time a fella was watching us for 5 minutes with a big german shepard dog. This was with Bob and JC at our meet. We thought he was going to abuse us but he simply wanted a chat. I love beer. Sometimes I have a few, other times I simply take too much r/c and cannot fit beer? I advise kiddies not to drink and tunnel, but I'm an oldish coot. Do try and find the fresh. Go for a day trip with friends/family and big lunch and make a day out of it? Tunnel and yacht and kayak and report back with pics of vehicles and the country side. I didn't make a 'Phantom' sailing boat thread as there is one going already on rcgroups. Take care Peter

RE: Which 2.4 System is REALLY the BEST?
Hi HellcatAce, I love this! All these r/c people from around the globe telling you what is best. Love it.[:D] There are alot of great posts and informative people here.[:D] I am Spek, all Spek from DX3 pistol up to DX7 'man' radio. I use the DX3 in a f/e boat & cars. ALL people say I should not do this with boats, including CEO of Spek. I have no probs. I use DX3.0 in boats & cars, no probs. I use the DX7 for everything else. It is a great radio. It is available at my LHS, futaba isn't. Futaba have priced themselves out of the market for name. Sure, great system, but SPEK were first mate and always improving. I laugh at abusers of early Spektrum 2.4 over water. You know you have to get higher than the water, not hooch.[:D] Saying all this, Spek was a local buy & I got great price. When I was a kid, all we had were Futaba AM and they still work. MY rant Peter

RE: Aquacraft Airforce
Hi res3567, It is ok. I only have one airboat, the Airforce. I was curious myself and bought it about 3 or 4 years ago. Just the hull. I'm running an O.S 50 SX ring motor with a rossi pipe & 10x8 prop, 20% nitro. It is lots of fun, but of course when hard cornering I have to slow it down a fair bit. It will run near full throttle though in big wide slow arc turns.[:D] The airboat
