need advise for rigger build
Hello i have been boating for many years but always have done nitro. I have decided to try a electric rigger Problem is a that i have no knowledge of this electric thing but going to give it a try. I ordered the motor and esc out of the ul-1 today. I am going to make my own hull i have a great little nitro hull that works great so going to try that hull just a little lighter . I do have a few question if you guys have any advise. One is the flew shaft is there any reason why a 3/16 flex shaft is not used ( like we run on nitro) seems like everyone runs the steped flex shaft. Second i was thinking of running a 4c 5000mah single battery. Thanks

RE: dynamite 32 exhaust very hott!!!
get some soft brass tubing from the LHS and wrap it around the header from where it bolts to the engine it will come almost back to the preasure fitting.

Thanks jetpack i do have my own lathe @ home and what you said is great and to the t. I just thought that the taper was a standard taper and i could have gotten a taper reamer and i would be done with it but like toyotatruckin said for the 10 bucks it's not worth screwing around with. All i know is that iam sick of the cold weather and i am ready to get out and play. Thanks for the input guys

Is there any way to test to see if a bearing is the cause of engine always leaning out no matter how rich the carb is set. Thanks

RE: Aquacraft Super-Vee 27 Nitro.
I just picked up sv 27 for 40 bucks it was ep but all the electronics burnt up pretty good. The hull i in greatshpe and all the hardware is in good shape servo is no good but the radio still works fine. I had bought a new aquacrft .18 and tuned pipe as a back up for my vegas. I am going to convert this over to nitro with the spare veags parts i have. Looks like i will have to make the stringer longer to mount the motor. I would like to ask a favor if someone could measure from their boat what the distance is from the transom to the center of the engine. Thanks Alex

RE: Loose Flywheel?
there should be a hole in the flywheel get i piece of harden rodto fit in the hole i have had to use the back sie of a drill bit before and grab a wrench that fits the collet closest to the engine tighten it up and you should be good to go. shouldnot need to remove the engine out of the boat

RE: Traxxas 3.3 conversion to marine use?
i have a super tiger .27 that i am convertering over to marine all i did with mine was i had a flywheel off i old picco that i had kicking around i took the little brass taper colet and put in on. Thw flywheel was a little long anf hitting the carb. I have a little lathe i just turned it down to clear the carb. I had to cut the end of the crank tilli got to the threads on the crack just used a dremel to cut that off next find out what thread you have on the crank. Mine was 1/4 28. now came the fun part and you will have to find what collet you will need and you will need to counter bore the flywheel to get enough thread to get hte collet on there totighten the flywheel. I then turrnd the collet down to fit in there. it took me about one night to get it together. If you do not have access to a lathe i would sugest you go to the local high school and take in the parts you have and ask them if they would machine it down for you. Hope it works outfor you but if you have to go out and pay someone to do this for you u would be better off to buy a good little motor. I am doing this .27 because it was really cheap and i had almost all the parts here after i blow up my little picco.
