RE: The Day After!
Well, why Hell yea! If I haven't flown for a few weekends, and I have the need to smell Glow Fuel, I put one on the stand! If that doesn't do it, I get the tractor out and cog it wide open put it in high range 8th. and lock the left brake and do burn out doughnuts! If that still doesn't do it I get the 63 Ford Falcon with the 460/514 BB started and do MASSIVE BURN OUTS on the carport! Then back it into the shop and rev it a few (10) times! Then get out and smell the 118 octane! YEEE HAWWW!!!! P.S. The neighbors called the Sheriff and reported me, LOL He came out and seen it was me, and asked me to do it again for HIM! He too has it bad! Thanks, Glen

RE: .40-.52 Swift Racer
Hello All, Well I worked on the plane today. 1st. pix; is an over all. 2nd. is of glued in pins. (The hinges a 1 1/2 wide and each side is an inch deep. I also drilled 2 holes per side to get glue all the way in.) 3rd. is the rear wing glued in and pined in with 4 pins. 4th. & 5th. are glued in extra support. 6, 7 & 8th are with the wing set on. I went over all the joints that i could get too with CA. Fire wall too. My son was helping with part of it and put too much CA on one part and it ran on the ****kote. So is there any thing I can use to get the drip off with? Thanks, Glen

RE: Nitroplanes Ultimate 40 ARF
Well, I finished up today with everything. THE CG is about 3 1/8 - 3 1/4 inches from the LE on the top wing. According to the distructions, that's where it should be. We will see. I am thinking that I should take the 11x6 off and put an 11x4 on for first flight. What do ya'll think? Thanks, Glen

RE: .40-.52 Swift Racer
Well, I just started on the Swift. The first one is in the box. The second on is laid out on the truck. The third is ailerons glued in. (I even drilled 2 small, small holes on each side of the henge to get plenty CA in.) What is the best thing to use a pin on each side of the henge? Thanks, Glen

RE: Sundowner 50 goes 499mph!!!!!
Crazy, We (The Pack Rats) still have just a little of the "Farm Juice" that we can help with, but due to daily sample (Quality control) testing, "To make sure that it has not gone bad." It's down to a couple of fuel tanks full, about 1 3/4 qts. Glen

RE: .40-.52 Swift Racer
Morning all, Well I did get the "Swift" in last night. I was hoping to get a load of information. Well the plane showed up in a brown shipping box, I opened it up and the plane's box is white. The whole thing! Nada, Nothing written on it! So I said, "There will be information on the instructions in the box." Nope! Just pictures on how to put it together. Dang! What now? I love the plane and I am happy with it. I just wanted to get Information on this plane. Where to get spare parts. Glen

RE: Nitroplanes Ultimate 40 ARF
John, I will get back in touch with you on the CG when I get to that point. I am just going to strengthen the landing gear attachment floor. Both of the Rossi's 60 & 61 did not come with a spring, but that is no problem. I didn't get to work on anything again today, maybe tomorrow.

RE: Nitroplanes Ultimate 40 ARF
Okay Dough-kay! I just received my perry carb. for the Rossi .61 that will be going on the ultimate 40 bi-plane, which I pulled down out of the rafters. I put the Rossi on the stand with a 11x8 ACP. It turned 13K. I have a pipe on it, but I have not started cutting the pipe yet, I want try a 12x6, 11x6, 11x4 to see what I will get for a base line. With the 11x8, it passes the pinch test, top and bottom. As for this 3D swift Racer. I bought it Thursday 29 March but It still has not been shipped. Glen

RE: Test Stand
kwblake, I use a B&D work mate, and I have Made a folding shelf under the top. I have installed 3 12v dry cell batteries into a little playmate cooler and installed 2 9/16's bolts and nut on the top side ran wires to. Its heavy but last all week long with out charge. I took 2 pieces of deck boards and drilled pilot holes in them then I use Sheetrock screws to hold the engines down. One end is for small, the other for large. I use 2 "C" clamps to hold the boards down to the mate, plus if you are tuning pipes, the clamp is a great securing spot for the pipe. I have a piece of foam to set the tank on and a bungee to secure it with. When I test, the battery box goes on the on the bottom shelf the leads for the starter runs under neath for safety. Its at a good height to boot! It works for me. I hope it gives you some help. Glen

RE: Speed Freaks Wanted- Over 200 Members already !
Vicman, Well I Was out on bond from my dog house and working on a work detail here at the house putting in gardens. I was given limited access to the putter, but my bond was revoked due to something about a blue and white airplane being bought. I tried to explain that it was bought for her birthday along with the Jett .40! She did buy it! I even told her that I would put it together and test it out, Heck! I would even let her use all the other stuff that was needed for the plane. NO GO. I even chipped in and said that she could use my pitt box and I would be her pitt crew! Can you believe she STILL said no! Pinkel stink! That RED headed blue eyed woman of mine is mean as a bag of cotton mouths, with ground yellow jackets wasp thrown in to boot! She has put me back in to solitary confinement in my dog house (my shop) with no visitors! Really?!? Come on! oh well it is calling for rain tomorrow, guess I will have to build something. Bummer Thanks, "Locked down" Glen P.S. I might get a 6 hr pass for Sunday, she said. IF I go to a meeting so I can Discuss what I did. I'm thinking the support group at the field would be a great place. What do ya'll think?

RE: Speed Freaks Wanted- Over 200 Members already !
"Hi, my name is Glen, and I am a Speed Plane Addict. I have been a Speed Addict all my life! As for Airplanes, The need for SPEED has been about 4 years, and with the help of the Revvers Brother-hood I hope to make my planes even FASTER !!! Don't let my wife see this....I promised her I would "tame it down a bit". : ( heh heh heh, Which she knows is a lie ) Most of my airplanes are scratch built junk, but I have fun and they do haul! "Fire Ball" is a gutter down spout foam wing with a Super Tiger .45 I have tinkered with it and the tack said 16,200 peak rpm's (it's the red-ish one) 'The Heat" is another gutter, with a corra plast wing with a red head ASP .91, But I have taken it off and put on a Black head Rossi .60 "Screamon Deamon III" is a Clark "Y" design wing, with a Husqvarna commercial weed eater (20,000+ rpms) Built out of broken coolers, spruce 2x4's and trash bags. Put together with a hot glue gun. I do have a ultimate 40 biplane that I put a Black head rear exhaust Rossi .61 I do have a Katana that I donked in, but rebuilt using a gutter as the fuselage. It has a Tower Hobbies .61 (will get pix up later.) And more airplanes, But the need for speed goes to the road too.... I have a 63 Ford Falcon Futura Sprint that has a 460 (700+ hp), C-6 tranny, 4 link rearend.
