RE: Savage xs wont move??
All the gears in the tranny are fine actually, one of the slipper pads looks really worn down so Im changing that to see if it helps. My slipper nut seemed to be tight when I took it apart so I dont know see if the pad fixes it.

RE: Savage xs wont move??
Found the exploded bearing left that diff out turned the car on with the front diff still in and it was still having the same problem. So I took the front diff out and ripped them both apart and all the gears inside are in perfect shape. But with both diffs out the motor spins freely without any hesitation This is really starting to get old...lol I cannot figure out for the life of me whats going on with this thing.

RE: Savage xs wont move??
Actually I just ripped apart the rear diff and discovered on of the bearings that sit on both sides of the diff on the shafts has totally exploded think this could be the problem forgive me if some of these problems are a little annoying because I do not have a lot of experience with the diffs themselves.

RE: Savage xs wont move??
Another weird part about it is that if I nudge it with my foot it will move under it own power but from a stand still it will just stutter

Savage xs wont move??
I recently started having this problem my savage xs wont move when I hit the throttle makes like a grinding noise as its trying to move but it just stutters. Now when I did pick it up and held it in the air it seemed to work fine. Bad thing is I originally thought it was the motor giving out and bought a new one and it didnt change a thing. I checked the pinion gear and transmission gears so all is good there and I was in the diffs not more than a week ago and everything was fine. Think it might have something to do with the esc? I dont know any opinions would be appreciated.

RE: Flux HP stock wheel nuts
Yes these are specifically for the savage www.ebay.com/itm/Integy-C22926-Aluminum-Hex-Wheel-Hub-17mm-Savage-New-/290767531251. They seem to fit a lot tighter.

RE: Savage Flux not going
I think it comes loose eventually no matter what you use, it will just take longer with red. mine went about 4 months though when I used red but it finally backed off. The trick is letting it sit for about 24 hours before you run it after you apply the loctite gives it a chance to dry.

RE: Savage Flux not going
20 might be a exaggeration I have taken it apart quite a few times messing with different gearing options though probably more like 15. Also had one pinion strip out once point is that red loctite if fine for the pinion gear.

RE: Savage Flux not going
Red loctite is fine you will be able to get it off blue is way to weak for the kind of power this thing has. I have been able to get it off without using heat no problem well over 20 times. Even after some good bashing with red loctite it will eventually come loose by itself so dont worry about it and use red trust me on this one.

RE: Savage Flux not going
Easy basically the pinion gear which is the one on the motor has a very small screw in it holding it to the shaft. It walks out over time happened to me 5 mins after I got the thing. Pull the screw all the way out you can do this without taking the motor and everything off. Use some red loctite and screw it back in just make sure your gear it properly lined up with your spur gear, also on the shaft of the motor there is a flat spot make sure that flat spot is lined up with the little set screw. Like I said use red loctite and let it sit for about 24 hours and dry and you will be good to go.

RE: Flux HP stock wheel nuts
Ive had the same problem if you wanna save money I suggest RED loctite and let it dry for 24 hours should fix it no problem. But as someone who has had the same problem I ended up ordering a set of integy 17mm hex's. Gives the truck a little more width and seem to fit in the rims far more snugly. The use of the bigger nut on these also cover a lot more space than the stock ones so more overall surface pressure. Dont know if this helps but I thought I would throw it out there.

I have heard the aluminum big bores tend to leak a lot, the two on each corner is great for jumping not so great for handling

RE: FLUX HP battery question
I may be wrong but the book recommends a minimum of 25c and it says if you use 30c you need more tan 3000mah. I have been running venom 4000mah 40c in it without isssue for 6 months.

FLUX HP battery question
Been a long time since I have been on here I recently sold my nitro savage and bought a FLUX HP I have been looking at some new batteries for it and I am having some problems Im looking at these www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17262__Turnigy_nano_tech_4000mah_2S_45_90C_Lipo_Pack.html according to what I have found on line about the battery box dimensions which is length 208mm length 35mm width and 45mm heighth if those are correct these bats wont fit. I love the price of these and I have heard of plenty of people saying they run them in their flux without issues with fitment anybody shed some light on the situation?

RE: hpi savage flux hp wheelie bar
Pretty good little truck really. Not near as durable as the HP but for what it is I like it. The stock esc is junk although mine outlasted most peoples but it finally gave out. But I knew it probably would it was just a matter of time. Does need upgrades out of the box un like the HP but once you get it dialed in its pretty fun. Being water proof is a big plus thats one of the main reasons I bought it.

RE: hpi savage flux hp wheelie bar
At first I was not interested at all in it, so I went ahead and bought the nitro savage. But after a year of messing around having to tune it all the time carry around a roto start and fuel, not to mention the cost of nitro. I bought a savage xs flux, liked it so much bought the flux hp and havent looked back since.

Im done arguing wasnt much of one anyways I made my point. Anybody can talk big about being a "pro drag racer" especially when your all the way on the other side of the country. He may very well have a fast savage but is it the fastest out there I highly doubt it.
