Hey, I am looking at getting this plane but I am not sure if it will fit in my car. Can someone do me a favour and measure from the ground to the highest part of the fuse when its on its wheels. Thanks in Advance Adam

RE: 3w 106 Fuel consumption
Thanks Guys Will use the 32oz for gas and unfortunately will have to use the 24oz for smoke. I will have to use it sparingly. Adam

3w 106 Fuel consumption
Hi Guys I am fitting out my new extra and I am not sure how big a fuel tank I will need to get a ten minute flight time. Also I am fitting smoke and I can only fit a 32oz tank and a 24oz tank next to each other over the cg. My question is which tank for smoke and which one for fuel. Thanks Adam

Saito 130 twin problems
Hi Guys A friend of mine has been having trouble with this saito engine for a long time and I thought I would ask you guys for some help. It is the one with twin carbies. The motor will not run on two cylinders below about half throttle. I have tried richening and leaning in both the low ends and this has not had any effect. It is also being run on onboard glow, and it does run slightly better with it on. I can usually get the second cylinder to light (which is always the left, when viewed from the cockpit) but only with onboard glow and only if i juggle the throttle at about a quarter to half. It is also extremely hard to start. For some reason the right cylinder uses twice as much fuel than the left and this is also shown on the number of turns on each needle. (I know this because we tried two seperate tanks) Any help would be appreciated as this has us baffled. Adam

Thanks Bob Do you know if the nimh cell pack would do because I am assuming it will be lighter, as I am trying to save weight.

33% battery
Hi Guys I am currently building a 33% extra it will have a DS8411 on the rudder, 2 DS8231 on each aileron with a matchbox, and 1 DS8231 on each elevator. That means that there will be 7 digital servos and a matchbox running off one battery. I was thinking of using a 6volt nicad C cells 1700mah battery or a 6volt 2100mah AA size Nimh cell pack. Any suggestions. Will either of these packs provide enough power for 5 comfortable fully aerobatic 10min flights. Adam Goulding

Gp Extra 330l + 3D
Hi guys How does the gp extra 330l go with 3D. I am currently building one and have the new 3W 106 for power. It is up to the fitting out stage and looks pretty light (with motor and landing gear <15 lbs No covering or radio). Any information as to the flight characteristics would be appreciated. Adam

Hi Guys I was wondering if anyone had built one of these extra's with the new 3w 106. If so how much does it weigh with this combination and how much power does it have for torque rolling etc. Adam
