RE: Anyone recognize this midget mustang?
Hi Steve and Dan, The wing is cut in two 4' pieces. Regarding the dihederal, the wing is built upside down making the top of the wing flat from wing tip to wing tip. The bottom of the wing is the only part that becomes dihederal as it is built to the tip. When the wing fits perfectly in the saddle the incidence will be perfect as well. That model you have is the 42% version and it is a beauty. Don't give up on it as you will be well rewarded. G.

2.4 trainer cord hookup.
[:o]A friend of mine just purchased a E-flite Apprentice DX5. I would like to train him with a buddy box .I would like to use my JR X9303 as the master and the Spectrum DX5 as the slave. What I'm wondering is, considering that both are JR & Spectrum 2.4 units, do I have to bind to the Spectrum TX (the plane) or do I have to bind my X9303, OR do they both have to be bound? 2nd question, or is it that niether of them need to be bound. Do I just choose trainer function, and choose the four flying channels and go flying? Thanks for your input. G. [>:]

I stand corrected. However, I was referring to the same style of flight modes used on the 9303, 9305 11's & 12's.

DX 8
Spectrum brought out the DX 7,it's a great little radio. There is only one problem, no flight modes. Now Spectrum comes out with their latest and greatest DX 8. It has a lot of good improvments over the DX 7. Only one problem, no flight modes. Come on Spectrum/Horizon, I'm sure you have your reasons for not including flight modes, but i think you can do better than that.

RE: Giant GP Revolver???
[>:]I have a feeling that Bax is sitting at his desk rubbing his hands together and smiling like the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland. I think everyone would agree that the new Hanger 9 larger Pulse has the attention ov a lot of modelers.WHY? because it is a larger model on a successful flying platform. Should Bax and his boys design a 50cc Revolver, He will leave Hanger 9 in his dust and smoke trail. The price? Well again Bax and his boys are not nieve enough to shoot themselves in the foot/feet. GP has an outstanding class of planes called the Performance Series. That is probably where a 50cc Revolver would fit in nicely. Ya know, Toledo has a reputation for unveiling new and surprising products from engines to planes.I don't know about you guys, but I am going to Toledo anyway. When I get there,I will be the first one in the door and the first one pounding on Bax's back door hoping to get a peek at what he brought. I'm hoping for a nice 50cc Revolver. If I should be disappointed, I won't be unhappy,as I know that in the near future, GP will make the 50cc Revolver.

Futaba 7C, 2.4 ????
I have a 7c 2.4 that I have bound to aircraft called A. I also have the same tx bound to aircraft called B.(two separate bindings) The problem surfaces when I turn the TX on and select aircraft A, and turn on aircraft B, both A & B work perfectly at the same time with the exception of the rudder on aircraft B is reversed. (The way I found this out was by accidently leaving aircraft B on) Now going the other way, I turned the TX on and selected aircraft B and purposly turned aircraf B & A on. Guess what? aircraft A also responds to any input for aircraft B (also with the reversed rudder) Remember these are two seperate bindings. Realising that this is 2.4 and the second plane is responding to commands for the first plane, is this not an accident waiting to happen? The way I see it is if I'm flying and somehow my signal for my plane is received by another plane, this could lead to somebody crashing. I understand that 2.4 is not supposed to do this. I also realise that if I want to bind two receivers in the same plane for the purpose of redundancy, you just bind them together. However this is not the case here, this is two different planes bound at two different times responding to the same commands. Does anyone on RCU have any thoughts on this problem????

9303 2.4
I'm a Futaba person that just purchased a new JR 2.4 9303 and am not used to the JR programing yet. My question is this, I have programed the radio for aerobatic capabilities with two independant servos for ailerons ( under the flaperon choice). Now when I check the monitor for servo position when moving the sticks the RAIL only indicates movement on the first 1/5 of the gauge. In other words, it is only using 1/2 of the gauge, also the LAIL does the same as well. Question is, is this normal indication for the two servo programed on flaperon to be used as ailerons? If this is normal, thats fine, but if it's not, maybe I should just go back to default and stsrt over. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Gerry.

RE: 42% Products DX7 Super Cap
If you are flying a small plane with a 4.8 battery, it's ok for that.If you are flying 1/4-1/3 or even larger, forget it. Use two battery packs, (5 cell 6v) and two switches for reliable power and redundancy.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
Well fellas, I have news for you. If you should be fortunate enough to have a look at a destroyed or badly damaged stab of the Revolver. you will find that where it joins up with the fuselage, about 1 to 1 1/2"out, it is a a butt joint. If you consider thatwell built, then you have a few suprises comming your way. I have flown all out pylon, formula 1 Q 500, and many many fast and ultra fast planes in my RC career, and none of them blew apart. However they were all designed for racing. Once again, I'm only pointing out, this plane is a sport flyer with a 75 on it, put a strong emphasis on SPORT FLYER. If you think a Revolver with a 75 on it is fast, then I will go out on a limb and say, you don't know what fast is. If you want to go fast or real fast, then build F1 or equavilant and do it properly. If you fly fast enough with the wrong type of plane, they will come apart, one day you will see for yourselves. Then when you get back to the pits and the same old familiar words come out of your mouth,,,,, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED" It really boils down to experience. If you are smart, you will sit down and listen, pay attention, and learn from other peoples errors. I said what I said and I know what I'm talking about. As far as I'm concerned, this issue is closed. Learn if you want, don't learn if you don't want ( or maybe you have enough experience and you know everything) Where I come from and we race there is a saying we use for the guys that know everything, "WHEN THE GREEN FLAG DROPS, THE BULLSHIT STOPS" I think that is self explanitory. If you fly hard enough and fast enough, your Revolver will fall apart. You have been warned, and as far as I'm concerned, that's the end of it.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
Rob, The fact about what took place with Mikes Revolver is this. The dive was all out full throttle and as hard as possible from around 500'. The angle was no more than 20 degrees. This is the point I would like you guys to pay attention to. The stabilizer literly blew off during the dive. At the time the stab blew off, I had not made it to the "HARD PULL OUT" Anybody that knows me and how I fly, knows very well that all the high speed dives I do are done with a very gentle high speed pull out. At that speed nobody should ever pull out hard. That alone can put stress on the airframe. never mind a high alpha all out dive. All airframes will self destruct if they should reach that certain point. Mikes Revolver made it to that point and the pictures show the results of the dive,(There is 6 more pictures to be posted yet) not the pull out. The Revolver is a great sport flying plane, but when you put 75s on them and don't use the throttle (for anything except full) At that point the Revolver is no longer a sport plane. It has been transformed into a high performance plane for which it was not intended for, that is unless you use the throttle to slow it down. I pointed out to you guys before, the Revolver is a great flying plane,BUT it is not as invincable as many of you think. You guys that are bolting 75s onto the Revolver remember, use the throttle, slow the plane a bit and enjoy it. however, if you are a full throttle diver,a word of advise is, modify, rebuild and streamline that stab because if you don't there will be a few more guys complaining their Revolver fell apart and they don't know why! Now that I have said my little piece, you should know that I too am working on a Revolver with a 75 going in it. I could care less about high speed dives, I just like to have the power to go straight up with a little authority.

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
Holy cow! The stab blew off? Are you suprised? Well, don't be, it can......and it will. Sooooooooooo, all you guys that want to fly a sport plane as fast as it will go and then a little more, don't be suprised when the stabilizer flies off. You are on the razors edge, and once you get there, you will find a few more suprises waiting for you. Advise for you. If you are flying an all out HIGH SPEED REVOLVER, you better have a good look at the tail feathers, that is unless you want to watch the tail feathers drift down three minutes after the REVOLVER burries itself a foot in the ground. "BEEF IT UP, HAVE FUN, & GOOD LUCK! If you should think I'm dishing out a little baloney here, pay attention to Mike's thread, he has the pictures as proof every word written here. I don't mean to break anyones bubble, but the REVOLVER is not as invinceable as some of you think!
