RE: GuanLi PBY Catalina
Maidened my cat today. it flew great! Much better than i expected. The only problem i encountered was when i landed i got a splash of water in the motor capsules and the left motor or esc quit working, The bad part was ilanded in the middle of the lake. one motor turns you in a circle. anyway i managed to get her back to shore in one piece to fly another day! Let me know your flights! 69sofine

RE: Nitro Models Extra 330 90 - 63
I can see something that resembles a white tube on the right side just in front of the back former. Don't see any on left side, may be buried inside the foam. How did you get way back in there? Did you run cables from outside? Haven't had much time to work on her lately, been busy. Thanks for your help! Jeff 69 sofine "LIVE TO FLY,FLY TO LIVE"

Here is a few pic's of my cat. I drilled my clevices and installed small screws. I was planning on maidening her this weekend but the wind is up to about 20 mph. I removed the two big orange tits as they had vibration in them! "LIVE TO FLY FLY TO LIVE!" Jeff 69sofine

RE: GuanLi PBY Catalina
i have been assembling my cat flying boat and found that the escs work perfectly in the motor compartments. mine is the brushless version. i dont see how the wiring harness would work any other way without chopping on it. not very muck room in the cockpit for the escs either. ill let you know how it goes if anybody is interested.

RE: Nitroplanes (Airfield) Skytrainer (C182) Nosegear
So it did break off the steel tube with the allen head set screws that hold the landing gear strut straight and in place? If you got the airfield version with the steel coupler, it is the best set-up so far, not sure how good it is though! Check out the assembly question thread on the sky trainer, there are a lot of issues with this nose gear.

RE: Assembly Question: FMS Sky Trainer
I broke my elevator clevis also. Im going to drill a hole on the side that the stud broke off of and use a small screw all the way thru clevis and arm. may have to drill arm out a bit to. I dont trust those small plastic studs on the clevises anyway. Might as well adress the same to the rudder.

RE: Nitroplanes (Airfield) Skytrainer (C182) Nosegear
I checked out the j-power cessna from banana hobbies. It appears to have the weak set-up on the nose gear. Mine is an airfield version and has the steel coupler utilized. Did it do any damage to the coupler up to the firewall when you crashed? The only issue i have found on mine is one of the strut mounts on the right wing was attached cock-eyed. it really doesn't seem to be a big problem, just looks kinda stupid! Its a great looking cessna, haven't flown it yet on account of bad weather. good luck getting parts from nitro planes! let us know how it goes.

RE: Airfield Skytrainer (C182) Batteries
as long as it is a 11.1volt and fits in the battery box with deans connector it will work. mah = fly time c-rating =power. I'm using 2 different 2200mah batteries in mine. on is a20c and one is a 25c from my heli. both work fine

RE: Assembly Question: FMS Sky Trainer
here is photo of the front landing gear on my airfield version of the skytrainer. as you can see , it has a steel coupler the attaches the landing gear to the pivot on plane.
