RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0
I Watched some kid take a brand new Jato out of the box today while I was flying my MQX. He put gas in it, started it and ran the hell out of it. I thought to myself it might last about an hour. Half hour and burned up the motor. It was so hard not to laugh because I think it's a lesson most of us learn the hard way anyway. 1[:D]

Yeah, there's no hunting allowed around here. houses surroud that pond (I call it a mini lake) 360 degree's. Not the place to be shooting off anything. B.B maybe but not a gun. Anyways, I'm hungry gonna go find some grub. [quote]ORIGINAL: cumquat [quote]ORIGINAL: rc junky 73 It the pond, it's pretty big. Someone has been shoot the ducks and I think they are protected

It the pond, it's pretty big. Someone has been shoot the ducks and I think they are protected. Neighbors are getting sick of whoever is doing this. [quote]ORIGINAL: cumquat you hear gunshots around here at 3AM, it must be hunting season. that's one thing i like about the area i live, close enough to the city that if i need something at midnight the stores are still open but far enough away that the gangs dont come out here. there is several ritzy housing complexes not too far from me, the economy doesnt seem to have effected them any. in one of them, i'd bet the smallest house is worth 120k in this market! RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0
It's 3 in the morning, I have security camera's on my house (with dual microphones illegal but cops don't care). Heard a gunshot! Woke me up. I live in a very heavily populated urban area so a gun is a BIG NO NO. Sounded close, Police are in the living room reweiwing my DVR right now. This used to be a nice area until the U.S. economy took a crap, all the good people lost their jobs and and homes (most of them) home values dropped and the scum moved in. We want out of here so bad, paid $170 grand for our house, been here four 4 1/2 years now and our mortgage is so upside down (house worth only 98 grand now!!) we are considering walking out of here but I know we won't do that. We have good credit and that would be the end of that. First thing I did when I heard it was go outside (like an idiot) and put a flashlight around my truck make sure there where no holes in it. [:@] I didn't call them, they knocked on the door and asked to see the cam they know I have one.

I'm thinking of buying a helli, that I can do 360's with but I don't think I advanced enough yet. Anyone know where to find a flight instructor? I can do loops with the MQX but that is different than a helli, and the MQX crashes most of the time unless I really have it up high in the air.

RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0
thanks. I love to fly also, i don't know if that becoming my first love in r.c. after all the bad luck with run away cars this year. I had a Jato two years ago (JUNK) T-MAXX (engine blew up in two weeks, yes i know how to tune em), Savage XL (Junk) Savage X (that was o.k but fell apart on me fast). Losi, worst car ever. I know these things are toys and gonna break that's why they call it a hobby but all these RTR's good lord. I'm 38, built a hornet when I was 15 and beat the living crap out of it all summer and part way into winter untill the plastic chassis cracked and broke. otherwise nothing and I mean nothing went wrong with that thing. Oh had a stampede for my wife but I played with it also, could not stop the screws and a-arm pins from backing out. Hey lunch box, how much is that kit you have for an aviator? it's Tamaya correct? Is that the actuall lunch box kit? I thought those disapeered a long time ago. If it is, how much are they and what does not come with the kit? My guess would be servo's ESC, Motor and stuff like that, radio. kind of interested in going electric, I can't take to many more Nitro let downs. I was watching the news, they say U.S may see abouve five dollars a gallon this year. That's gonna park me or really restrict how much I drive that tank, it already hurts. We are not poor not rich but somewhere inbetween. Just people who pay our bills and improve our credit to get into more trouble, the American way.

RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0
right you are! I have had two real trucks now in life and i've have yet to pull anything with them. Next summer might be differant though, my wife wants a couple of wave runners and I want an ATV. It's gonna be one or the other, the truck note alone with the payoff from the Ford is more than most people pay for rent in a house. Actually I just made this months payment a few hours ago. Now I get to smoke a cigg and sit and look at this big ass truck in my driveway and wonder why I had to buy something so big. It works GREAT FOR THOSE LITTLE HYBRIDS THAT TRY AND CUT ME OFF. It never happens. Almost ran one over once, have to be more carefull. [quote]ORIGINAL: The Hedgehog Most truck guys I know cannot stop saying how much weight they can tow. yep, the rotors are starting to rust. I have not been driving it. 10 m.p.g tops. Not that I can't afford gas but my wife gave a me a choice. Park it and keep your hobby or dump your hobby and drive. I like my hobby, if the truck is parked nothing will happen to it. the trans cooler is insaine on it. it's that big slot in the front that 6.0L is g.m's way of copeting with the hemi at least that is what someone told me. You know what I like about it most? no running boards, if I only had a dollar for everyone I've watched fall out getting out, stepping down only to find there is no ground. I'm serious. It's funny. 1st 1 was a losi radio and receiver 2nd car was all HPI All my helli's do just fine on 2.4ghz. everything is 2.4 ps3/controllers,routers,i have a security cam on my house wireless thats 2.4 luetooth is 2.4ghz. i thought 2.4 ghz was suss posed to e able to switch encryption (like changing creqs sort of) when interferance is detected. typing on iphone sorry 4 typo's. wife dont let me smoke in house [quote]ORIGINAL: The_Shark things CAN interfere with 2.4Ghz, i think most cordless phones run 2.4Ghz. what system is it? your system may be dieing, i would invest in a cheap flysky system, since its cheap and a good way to see if the channel you where using is effected by noise. ALSO, i had a runaway with my T-Maxx that has 2.4Ghz, i was looking it over and found out servo would go WOT when i tapped the chassis with a rock, replaced the servo and its fine again. you could also have a loose servo wire. i would say your radio is your last suspect. RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0
I'm convinced something is interfering with my 2.4 systems on my block. My Savage XL just took off and full throttle and nail my neighbors car door in third gear full speed. no steering, no throttle response, same damn thing that the Losi did. Now I have to pay for the f'ing damage to my neighbors car. Hopefully a good buff job will do, no dents just a bunch of scuffing from front bumper and tires. This truck was brand new almost and I've not had my hands in there yet, it was to new. WEIRD! I Fly around here all the time with a DX5 radio and never have problems. This is new, never happened last year or the year before. What could interfere with a 2.4 system? I can think of only one thing. allot of cb radio base stations around here, i used to be one of them running serious power. They all run power to a few of them are like four blocks away. I'm done with cars for the summer, this is B.S.! Just going to fly helli's. Maybe i'm gonna go buy a super cub because i used to have one and they are fun. All my helli's are blades so they are 2.4ghz but they have never experianced any interance problems to this day. Now i'm on most of my neighbors crap list, one of them is a enviorment freak and saw the Losi launch into the pond. Chewed me out about how batteries leak lead and crap and gas in water (in one ear and out the other because it was an accident) the rest are afriad everytime they see me come out to play with something, they all go in now. I throw my hands up to what is interfering with the cars but none of my helli's.
