Your a silly man to comment about a credit card. Do you have any idea what 20 year 747-400 captain makes? If you did you would keep your mouth shut because of how stupid you would feel. Keep your comments to your self soul brother

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Well mr. Jetfan you really should do some research before you make an a$$ of ur self in front of your peers. Yes the new bandit ARF comes with no formers installed. Call BV him self and you will find that out. As a matter of fact neither does the Electra. You need to glue all of them. I'm not complaining about it but what all of you need to realize is that there is some work that needs to be done with any kit. It's a model airplane Jets are not bind and fly. I actually think that jets should only be kits so that will keep people who don't know how to build or do basic Maintaince away from 200 mph missles that can break if not built right. So Jetfan from your signature line you seem like somebody that really does not know much about anything, especially finances. Because if you did you would not have made a dumb comment like that. My 2 cents you can write back and argue your point but it will not be heard or answered by me because you don't deserve my time. Have fun. To everybody else happy flying this weekend.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Honestly why is everybody complaining like a bunch of girls. I just paid 4k+ for a new BVM Bamdit and not one former was glued in and I had to do tons of work on an so called ARF. It need to be done and that's it. If you don't want to do work on a model get the hell out of the hobby. Stop complaining on here and build and go fly isn't thy what the hobby is about or is crying on a forum part of it to.

Well from my opinion Henry is a stand up guy and gives excellent customer service. He always answers the phone day or night and goes above and beyond to get things done. I ordered a V3 upgrade kit and he called me telling me that they would not be in so he refunded my money and one week later I get a knock on the door from FedEx and there it was. I called and told him that I recieved the upgrade and he told me that it must have been a mistake since they are so busy it must have shipped by accident but not to worry and keep it and he do not even ask for money.

I can tell you that your absolutly wrong. I have had the Tornado V1 and the V3 and they exactly the same except for the composite booms and upgraded wings. The CG is 12 3/4 inches or 1.5 lb on the nose. For this plane to be I controllable like you say you had to really screw up the CG. As many here will chime in an confirm that this is one of the most forgiving planes out there. The Falcon design is a rock solid design and has been proven many times over. So sorry to say but your wrong

I agree the plane is a bullet with a 23lb thrust engine. I am using the rabbit and it I very over powered. Plane is holding up nice no issues I agree with David that if I maneuver hard at that speed I think any plane would break. I have not radared it but it's going faster than anther I have flown.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Well it was a beautiful first day at Florida Jets. I must say I was extremely impressed with Alberto today when he flew the Saber. He had an inflight emergency when the servo arm broke off the servo and one Aileron was flapping in the wind. SKS got awesome footage of it. The airplane did 2 complete rolls and he then stopped it And landed with no issue excellent flying. Then after that Henry put another arm on the servo and 5 minutes later was doing some great inverted passes. These guys are nuts it's awesome to see how much fun these guys have flying these things. The announcer has nicked the Modellbau group the fun guys in red they did not stop flying all day.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Yes Ian can you explain? I have 2 of these Tornado's and the tanks are excellent. They are made of west systems expoxy and Derrick does an awesome job on his tanks they are bullit proof. Again Ian not sure were you are coming from except that you are skimminng for more buisness but the tanks that come with the plane are excellent I have not seen better tanks than the ones that are included Im sure many can say that after seeing and useing Derricks products. IF you want to sell tanks for tthe Falcon then great but dont make it seem like the tanks are bad becuase they are not. I have seen you beggying for buisness in all these forums and from the looks of it in the market place as well since you have the Tornado V2 for almost nothing. Seems like you are the only one not selling these. Besides I heard from the last show down in Florida that Ali was going to start stocking these. On another note I had the pleasure of flying the new V3 Tornado this weekend at an airshow and it is awesome. Henry like always passes the sticks around to anybody that wants to fly so they can see how good it flies. It flies much better than the version 1 or 2. A side from being much much faster the airplane is much cleaner and handles better, Henry great job on the new bird and I said before that I would not buy another Tornado but this one I have to have Dam you LOL. RE: Warning Graupner USA HOTT SYSTEM
well know bashing from me but I have to say that I have lost a very expensive jet because of this system. This thing ranged checked fine but comletly lost signal in the air. I have contacted Graupner Germany and they confirmed to me that the FCC has restricted this radio in the US version. It took 10 emails and various phone calls and I finally got the answer from them that the US version of the Hott system has 25mw of power in comparison to 100mw in the European version. They assured me that it performs the same but I am no engineer but not sure how that is true.

Warning ON Graupner USA HOTT SYSTEMS
Well I feel almost responsible for this crash but I need to let everybody know that extreme caution should be used if you are operating the New Graupner Hott systems. Let me clarify this actually the USA version of the graupner Hott system. I purchased a USA version Graupner MX 20 from Graupner USA for my new Ultra Lighting. It worked awesome on the Ground and range tested ok but it locked up something fierce about 2 miutes into the flight. I got it back fairly quickly after I lost signal the first time but when I was setting up for landing the plane locked up agian and it went after doing a half loop and burst into flames. I lost everything. This system from what I am told is rock solid in Europe but the USA version for some reason is not the same in anyway. I spoke to Henry from Modellbau USA a couple months back about this system and he swore by it. When I was ready to buy one I went to him and he told me that he was not able to sell me one nor does he want to sell me one. I was very surprised and asked him why, he really did not come out and say it ( I guess becuase he is a Exclusive Graupner Dealer in South America ) but he said that the US radio were different from the Radios that he was selling and the FCC has restricted him from selling those systems in the USA. I guess he did give me a warning but I did not listen. I then found Graupner USA and asked them about this problem and they swore to me that they are indentical and the system were actually better in the states. BULL S@#T they are a bunch of liers. I contacted Graupner in Germany and told them about this and they said to me that the radios are different and that they are FCC Controlled so the signal strength is different than the European Version that are being sold in the Caribean, South America and the rest of the World. Word of Caution STAY AWAY FROM GRAUPNER USA

well if it is true that 300 sets were sold my guess would be that that number will stay pretty stagnant now that Todd is going to make gear for this kit.  Prolink is definitly grade A stuff.  I dont know if its only me thinking this but it would be great if Dreamworks carried the kit as well.  I realy dont have much time to shop everywere and a one stop shop like dreamworks would be great.  My new Rabbit will have a new home soon Â

The new scheme looks great very nice work it looks very solid. Is Todd Still going to make gear for this kit because from the looks of it Spring has focused on the falcon rather than your plane. His web site shows this. Besides Prolink is much better gear anyway. Email sent I have to have one. Once agian excellent work and for the price you can't beat it.

Last I heard was that the whole first batch was sold for target drones. I heard from a close friend of Henry's that the whole project might be bought by the government so the plane will not be produced for RC use. But I did see Henry flying an airplane that looked like the bandit but it had the hurricane paint scheme on it so I don't know what that means maybe somebody from Modellbau can chime in and shed some light.

Mike I have 2 of the Sabres one for and my son. They are the easiest flying jets I own. I got him his waiver on a Tornado and now he flies the Dog. It handles like a dream and is rock solid. I use crow like Henry suggested, I tried to land once with out it and it did not want to slow down. You need the maximum amount of flap you can get so put the hinges on the bottom of the flap surface not the middle. You will be very happy with her.

RE: The new Tornado sport jet
Just wanted to share what I saw yesterday at the set up day for the Markham park Jet Rally. Henry and his crew brought out there new TORNADO which is composite. It flew absolutly awesome. You can read the comments that the Meet photographer said on the model. All the servos are internal, tons of carbon fiber reinforcements and beautiful finish. The one I saw fly was is Blue and had a K80 on it and the other one they had hidden in there trailer had a P100 in it. The plane was balistic. The first flight I think was there mainden, cuz Henry took it easy and did some very graceful aerobatics but the second flight was insane. I have to say he did a pass with smoke that had to be pushing 200mph it was sick. I not computer savy so you can see the pictures on the thread below. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10651897/anchors_10817847/mpage_4/anchor/tm.htm#10817847

I agree that thing is beautiful. I saw it yesterday when Henry was flying it and the first flight was good, but the second he really lit the fire to the burner. It was awesome it was a rocket. I have one of the first Tornado but this one is spectaculer it is so clean with all the servo's inside that it looks like so slippery. Great Job guys. I cant wait to see more this weekend.

RE: The Aermacchi MB339 is here agian
Dennis you are always very confrontational in most of you post and I think you speak before thinking but you do make valid points sometimes. Like I have mentioned I had the very first MB339 back in 2005 and they did not even have the spar everybody keeps saying broke. If you guys look at the crashed pictures you will see that the wings were ripped off the fuselage there is a lot of tearing and violent rupture. This did not happen because of a wing collapse it seems to me the way the wing was held on to the plane did not hold it on. And as the wing was coming off some parts did hold more than others and crack the wing just snapped with differential air loads. Dennis you seem to have a good amount of building experience and you have a plane there with you. Do you really think that the wing you have there would not hold up to 2 minutes of flight time. I am sure it is exactly like my wings and I will say it over and over the fiberglass, divinycell and carbon fiber sand witch is incredibly strong. I have been down to Henry's Factories and the one in Argentina is were this airplane is built along with most of the aviation design airplanes and these airplanes are built hard. Not to answer for Henry but last time I spoke to him and asked him the very same question you did about why is he stopping making the MB339. He told me because that airplane is to expensive to manufacture and he would have to raise the price several hundred dollars to keep making it and he did not want to do that. Also in my opinion I don't think they have enough time to make any because that's were they built the Freedom and Patriot UAV's.

RE: The Aermacchi MB339 is here agian
Im sorry for your loss Zee but Henry is correct you built the wing incorrect. I have had 3 of these airplanes over the years and I got another just recently that I am finished building for my son. You never secure a wing this big and heavy with 2 little dowels. There is no where in the fuse with any structre to it to secure them to. Also those small square blocks you glued to the rear of the wing are wrong two if you see in the manual it specificly shows you that there is a large 4-5 inch piece of hard wood glued there for support. Like I said I really feel bad about your crash but it was bad decision making in construction not kit defect.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
I just flew my DOG yesterday for the first time and WOW what a great airplane. It flies like it is on rails and lands so slow. I set up everything like Henry advised me to do including the Gyro and boy was he right on. It took off no trim needed and CG right on. One thing that I recommend is that you turn the Gyro up to 35% instead of 25% he recommends I thought I needed a little extra IMO. I came in for a slow pass and slowed down to 15mph no problem at least thats what the Telemetry said on my hitec LOL. Very very nice airplane and great [rice as well Nice job guys another winner.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Well I just flew the DOG for the first time yesterday and it flew awesome. I was fortunate enough for Henry to let me pick one up a few months ago at the factory when I was down south and I finished it last week. The Airplane went together very easy even though I did not have an instruction manual, with the help of Henry and Alberto it went together without a problem. I have mine powered with a Jet Cat P60 SE Kero Start and it has plenty of power. I used the servo's recommended except for the elevator and rudder. I used VOX thin wing servo's on the elevator's and a Hitec 5245 MG because I decided to use a gyro like Henry recommended. The airplane came in at 15lb with a full UAT. I installed all my batteries in the nose and it balanced out perfectly. I did not use the drop tanks because I dont like the way they look so I did not even install them. Since Henry did not have struts wheels and brakes available yet for the kit when I bought it so I used Robart straight struts, Spring Air retracts and BVM wheels and Brakes. By the way I feel like an A$$ not waiting now because I paid an arm and a leg for the struts wheels and brakes compared to what Henry is selling them but any way thats what I get for wanting everything now now now LOL. On the first flight I set the CG and throws as per what Alberto said, the only thing I did different was use crow since every F86 that I owned needed it to land slow, even my large BVM Sabre. It took off very easy and flew great, the dutch roll tendency that every sabre was gone with the use of the gyro i used on the rudder. The P60 was plenty of power I cannot imagine using anything bigger. I flew for about 10 minutes before I set up for landing. I used about 1/8 inch of down elevator to counter act the pitch up tendency that I got because of the crow on landing flaps and it slowed down very nice. She landed very nice and did not show any bad tendency's of tip stall or yawing. All and all I was very happy with the performance and flying characteristics of the plane. I did recommend to Henry that he use crow on his model and he told me that they have flown it with crow and they like it very much so they are incoporating that into the manual. Henry and Alberto congrats on another excellent airplane I cant wait for the Hurricane, make sure to make one up in Navy trainer scheme. Oh yea sorry guys for not uploading pictures but I was called out on a 14 day trip about 2 hours after I got home so I had to pack and go. I will try to up load some when I get back.
