Made some great progress this weekend. Started and completed the inner door mechanisms to open and close them. Works very smooth no slop now I get to move onto the next step :-)

RE: Pratt & Whitney 1/5 scale radial engine for warbirds
You're very welcome Antonio. This is Bruce if you remember I have had several conversations on the phone with you through the years. I had also mentioned to you that I started this thread to try and help increase popularity and possible sales. I'm sure your new company will take off like wildfire. Unfortunately the price increase has terminated any ideas of me buying one. But hopefully in time the price will drop.

RE: CMP 80
Yes no doubt! Zero was supposed to be my warm-up plane when I fly he p-40. I'm definitely planning on having the zero done for our warbirds over Yosemite in October

RE: CMP 80
Hello guys! Well I'm happy to report that I have been able to start tinkering around with the zero. Got the wing servos all installed and the linkages made. All I have to do is take everything back apart and Loctite everything. I also started doing the cockpit. I still had the bucket for a half cockpit kit for P-40. I never used it. I ended up putting a full kit and it has you guys mostly know. So I was able to get that modified and mounted in the zero pretty easily. Here are a few pictures to show that yes it's actually getting worked on again. Lol.

RE: Pratt & Whitney 1/5 scale radial engine for warbirds
I do agree with that. But the most important thing is to just get the engine in the air and get some time on it .with some video. engine doesn't care how pretty the plane is just need to get up in the air:)

RE: Pratt & Whitney 1/5 scale radial engine for warbirds
Yes I agree with Gary. I wouldn't for the first time, take the time to build a extravagant model for the engine. I would get yourself a nice ARF and modify it, stick that motor and it fly it for our viewing pleasure as Gary said in the earlier post.

I appreciate your input Joe. Yeah I was also wondering about videos also. I'll see you have that one quick clip is on the website would be nice to see some other videos with the Hamilton standard prop and video with some different RPM readings

RE: Pratt & Whitney 1/5 scale radial engine for warbirds
Hello Joe nice to meet you. Antonio told me many many months ago of all the options you already had set in stone. And the price was going to be around $3500. So back then you guys knew all the things that you were going to be doing. So why the dramatic cost change? I know that it's completely priced out of my price range unfortunately. I was really looking forward to getting at least one of these engines but I just don't know if I can afford that price now. And the one I was really wanting was the 18cylinder or the 14 Cylinder. I'm thinking those are going to be in the $10,000 range if the nine cylinder is five grand. 3500 is a tight squeeze but doable. And even five or six grand for the 18 but I just don't know. All I know is I'm bummed.
ORIGINAL: Mk23socom The guy who started the Moki Care and Maintenance thread in this forum has the most reliable, best running Mokis I have ever seen. I have been his pit guy a few times and his engines, from the 150 all the way to the 400, are just as simple to start and operate as any good 2 stroke. read that thread, and learn everything you can and I am willing to bet that your opinion and experience will be favorable
Seidels i hear are far more reliable than the mokies

You are going to center the engine in the cowl rite? The crank shaft should be dead center in the cowl. Just curious because your photo shows other wise.

RE: Ziroli Zero
50cc engine in a 92 inch Zero wont throw anything scale in terms of a 3 blade and if it isnt atleast close to scale it'll look funky IMO that is. I have the DLE 50 in my CMP zero its 82 inches. I dont think it will throw a scale 3 blade even for that scale plane. 22" is close to scale for my prop diameter. Its going to have to be a 2 blade for me. A 22x12 is what the engine will like
