RE: What company makes the best servo guards and skid plates for revo?
i've never broken a servo guard [yet], i have scarred up the skid plates pretty good, but they've never failed.

i put a cup of nitro in the deepfreezer for 2 days. it was no thicker than the fuel in the jug at room temperature. "myth busted!"

possibly a silicone spark plug boot if the diameter is large enough, or maybe wrap it with some gorilla tape? i'd just drive those 10 miles to your lhs. my nearest hobby shop is 72 miles.

RE: NEED HELP AND ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT MONSTER TRUCK
my experience has been with warheads and revos. the first edition warheads were a bit problematic, i'll leave it at that. but i love my revos! i put a big block in my revo because it was a left-over from a warhead. 3.3 to a 5.3! who could resist! i do currently use a .28 instead of the .32 because i think it has a bit more top end. all that said, if i ever got another [different brand] monster, i'm pretty sure i'd give an lst2 a try after all i've heard/read about them. t-maxxes seem to have weak bulkheads, savages seem to be difficult to work on. just my 2 cents. hope this helps.

RE: boiling tires..
preheat the oven to 350 degrees. turn it off then put in your tires. wait for 15 minutes, then take them out. use gloves. squeeze the tires and they should pop off of the beads. it worked for me. hope this helps.

could you lower your rpms slightly with some linkage adjustment to keep it from over-revving?

RE: dye tires/wheels??
dying won't ruin the foams as such, but it could get lots of water in your tires which would be a big pita! bake off your tires. preheat an oven to 375 degrees. turn off the oven. put in your tires/wheels for 15 minutes. put on gloves. squeeze the tires from the rims, then dye your rims and the re-glue. or use spray paint. much simpler, quicker and easier.

brakes and reverse are DEFINITELY 2 different things, unless of course you like to tear your transmission apart to fix it all the time.

RE: radioshack
possibly a better electric motor/s? then probably different batteries or a pack, as i don't know what they currently use. if you got those issues taken care of, then i'm sure you would need a better esc. the best way to make the mattracks faster would be to put them on a tmaxx like on the thread w/ vids i saw here last night!
