RE: The New KMP Signature Series Warbirds
Yes of course we will...[8D] ... Also note the aluminum canons which will be included as it stands now with the kit. We will also be offering a very scale tail wheel assembly still in the design phase as an additional option priced very reasonably. I should have pictures in 3-4 weeks ish. The finished model will truly be worth seing. I'll take some pictures of the panel lines which are very nicely done as well. We are using a new technique at the factory to make them sharp and thin.

RE: The New KMP Signature Series Warbirds
By the way .... here is our Pre Production Spitfire... The Blisters on the top of the wing and the radiators on the wing bottom are still to come. Slight changes to the color are also in the works and the paint lines will be slightly feathered. Lastly the Muffler is undergoing significant mods now as well... I guess this is as good as any time to mention that the P51D is almost ready in 1/5th scale and Hopefully a Zero by Fall time (the version is to be announced later... but will be really cool)... If you wish to offer constructive critism please start a new thread and leave this one be for the FW190 D9. [8D]

RE: The New KMP Signature Series Warbirds
Hi Guys: I know modelers are very pationate people. I too share that passion along side my love for the business part. I guess I am lucky to have been able to turn my passion into my business as well. Gus is certainly one of the most passionate people I know and is an experienced (award winning pilot and builder - may I add [:D]) I am happy to have him as part of my business. Certainly I will take responsibility for leaving short handed sometimes and overworked supporting both the sales side and technical side of our operation. He actually has built and repaired parts for our customers on his own time going above and beyond what I've asked him to do so many times. His passion for this industry is a true devotion of both time and spirit. Sometimes we all take things too personally as I have certainly done as well. I'm not sure how many people are still left out there that would put there neck on the line for their employer so many times. I do thank him for that. I hope moving forward emotions are in check for all parties involved before raw thoughts get translated and put to print without bearing in mind the repurcussions of what gets lost in tanslation without being able to look into the eyes of the person (people) you are speaking to. RE: The New KMP Signature Series Warbirds
HI Guys: The FW190 we are showing, is in fact and as stated in prior posts by others, only a pre-production version. Furthermore the model was almost folded in half when we received it from China. My Sales and Tech Manager Gus Phillips worked overtime to get the plane ready within days of the show to make it presentable. The actual cowl was completely crushed. Thats just one of 3 reasons there are no visible panel lines anywhere to be found on the plane. There are indeed inconsistencies in the paint color as we needed to formulate our own paint to best match the factories paint. Thats why some painted areas are flatter than other areas. The plane we surely know is not featured in its best light here, but given how it arrived and the amount of bondo needed to fill the severly cracked body and cowl, it's much better than it was when first unwrapped. All those interested in the plane that actually placed deposits on the aircraft at the show were informed of the two cowl types that will be available and the additional scale features still to be added to the plane before shipping. For those that are not interested in buying the aircraft but still wish to offer constructive crtisism we always warmly welcome your advices. For those who have placed a deposit and are eargerly awaiting the arrival of the first batch you will very satisfied. Keep you comments coming and we look forward to using the constructive comments on our ongoing quest to listen to your customers and make the best planes possible. [:D]

RE: KMP's New 88.5 Spitfire
Hi Gang: It would be helpful to send us pictures with our aircraft profile layed over-top the full scale or blue prints to show us where the scale outlines are off. Its true that we can make these changes now before production and get things right. I would prefer to be that company that gets it right straight out of the box. You can also PM me the pictures or send them to my e-mail andrew@kmp.ca directly as we can accept high res pictures there. I can then turn those pictures around and send them to the factory for their evaluation and immediate re-desgn.... If we use any of the pictures you guys send actually pointing out the issues in a properly documented fashion I will gladly compensate you for your time an energy in a way that is fair. We truly want to get all our models right!! [:D]

RE: KMP's New 88.5 Spitfire
Hi All: As always anyone can order a primered only aircraft from us. We usually only have a few available but certinaly is a doable thing. I am open to other color schemes, please post suggestions as was done in an earier post. As people know we do have the JEJ Color scheme already out there from ESM. We wanted to offer this version with Invasion stripes. Its always hard to please everyone we know. We do try our best though [:D]

RE: KMP's New 88.5 Spitfire
HI All: I will collect and post the pictures that were used as reference material for this paint job and the colors. Believe it or not the colors are accurate.. yes it does look a little like a flashy shiny "show-room" finish but these are initial prototype pictures to makesure the line seperations and color molds are correct. Keep in mind this color scheme was used by the RAF and the Czechoslovakian Airforce. The final version will have some changes to it for sure. For now we thought we would post what we have as a sneal peak only!! More pics coming soon and with final revisions after I go come back from China next month. [:D]

RE: KMP T-28C
HI Guys: I am working on some replacement switch hatch doors. I would like to offer something that looks a nicer than what the factory offered. I feel as though the rough finish is not to the high standards that KMP is known for. As a result I am pushing for some replacement doors and will make them available at no charge. We are hoping that a nice smooth resin door hatch will be available soon. [:D]

RE: KMP's New Aerovate 15cc
HI All, yes there is no doubt that the name issue can be confusing to modelers. Most of the time I like to stay removed from commenting on the business side of things as its not really necessary for the general public to know about the inner working of some deals however I would like to help clear up some details in this case. The name AEROVATE was established a long time ago (just over two years ago) as a stand alone company "AEROVATE INC." The web site is www.aerovate.com for those who are interested. You could look at the registration date of the name and web site to see how long ago this "brand" was actually developed. The primary products of Aerovate are the design and fabrication of UAV Airframes and more recently Passive Variable Pitch Propeller systems. During this time we imported several engines from China as well and later found out the Henry was also importing the same engines on a bigger scale. We sat down to work together to promote the name Aerovate. Henry did work very hard to promote the engines and more importantly spent the bulk of his time and energy continuously trying to create a better product. For this he deserves ALL the credit. I did agree to allow the use of the name Aerovate for the engines he was importing. SO...where did things change you ask... As AEROVATE INC. was working on cutting edge aerospace technology it took on investors to carry it through financially and pay for National Research Laboratory wind tunnel testing and development etc to get it to the next level. One of the conditions the shareholders needed was that all IP, brands and /or registered names remain exclusively the property of AEROVATE INC. It was at this point that my hands became tied and we could no longer allow the use of the brand to continue out of our control. If the decision was soley mine then there would never have been this complication. Unfortunately business has a way of getting in the way of things. We do want to work with Henry and have been in some discussions with him to offer a UAV exclusive engine line which could sport the AEROVATE brand name. So as you can see things can be complicated and we do owe Henry and his business associate "aussiesteve" a lot of credit for making the engine line what it is today. We too wish them all the luck with their new endeavors in the hobby industry as well. They are great people and make a great product. [:D]

RE: KMP
hi All: I want to thank all those who have supported our endeavors as we have helped develop the ESM line of planes with the KMP trademark over the last 5 years. They have been a great factory to work with and produce without a doubt some of the best quality ARF aircraft today. Changing economic times have forced both of us to make decisions to take different paths moving into the future. Rest assured that our new line planes to be released in a few months will be in a class of their own once again. Our quality finish, construction, attention to detail and of course flying quality will all be uniformly first class. I look forward to to unveiling the first few planes with a significant list of standard accesories and details that haven't yet been seen on aircraft in this price range. [:D]

RE: KMP
Hi Guys: In the next few months you will see us introducing a great new line of warbirds. They will hands down be the best yet from KMP. I can confirm that all planes will be 80 + inches and for the rest of the details you will need to stay tuned. Aircraft will be rolling out at about 1 new plane every 2 months! I can also tell you that the first two planes we introduce will be subjects that we have never released before. Our first Navy Aircraft will have an articulating tail hook as well! [:D]

EM: I never said I had a degree in history... My degree is in Commerce from Lakehead University. I think you are confusing me with somebody else. We have had other people in the office and the only person who I can think that had a History degree was Paul. In the future please try and makesure you don't confuse what I say with what other people may have told you on a public forum especially if the comment is used against me or our company. ln regards to your comments about the FW190, the airplane fuse was redesigned over a year ago. I am glad that we are looking after your retracts for you. Gus's personal attention to your matter should result is a quick solution. [:D]

RE: KMP
Hi All: Generally the factory posts is advertised weights using fixed gear and foam tires that comes with the kits. By adding the retracts, the solid rubber tires, addtional servos, there is an additional 2-3 lbs easily. Furthermore if you use gasoline engines as opposed to the "factory" recommended glo-engines you will add another 1-2 lbs. Adding a detailed cockpit kit, 2 pilot figures and extra paint for weathering all combined will add another 1 lb at least. If you are adding anything at all beyond the included factory basic kit all flying weights will exceed the posted 17 lbs. [8D]

RE: Easytiger Feisler storch
Hi All: Sometimes when I am in China the internet isn't readily available and if I'm not in the office the staff will always do their best to service our customers. Occasionally I personally can not be there to answer all questions within 24 hours. My frequent trips to China as well as to other destinations such as our warehouse in Florida and the many tradeshows we exhibit at do keep me out of the office often. (10 weeks per year just work related) I do however answer ALL e-mails. Often e-mails do get rejected by other people's servers. We can't do anything about that. We always try our best and support all our faithful customers. [:D] By the way the only e-mail I check is akondor@shaw.ca its not filtered and comes directly to me.
