just picked up an x2 it is awesome not bad at the track out of the box Try Amainhobbies they had for 424.99 and with DPPAN1025 CODE you get 25 dollars off it came out to 422 shipped and it is awesome

I have this buggy with this motor it runs very well around 240 and 260 degrees low end needle put flush and highe end around 3 1/2 turns out that will give you a good starting point i ran odonnls red glow plug with no problem on 20% nitro good luck

volcano sv carb problem
go to adjust the idle scre no movement at all so everytime you hit the breaks the carb sleeve closes all the wau causing thee truck to die no idle adjustment turned it nothing i have many rc trucks

that sure sounds like the spring is broke and as soon as you come to an idle the clutch shoes engage and with not enough R's kills the motor

if your truck runs fine when your on the gas and you can hold the truck off the ground and it stays running it could be your clutch check the spring and the shoes good luck

RE: 2.5 to 3.3 help
You can go on ebay and pick up all the half shafts ond knuckles for around 45-50 dollars new you will eventually need to i did the same conversion and believe it or not the 3.3 on the 2.5 chasis with the 3.3 half shafts and knuckles works great and seems to be faster than the stock 3.3 in my case not sure it there is a weight difference in the chasis or just the tune good luck

was looking into buying a backdraft 8e but have heard of some problems that were pretty common like sterring likage and hub carriers that break easy was wondering if these problems were resolved and how i know i got the new version
