RE: NEW! E-Flite Blade Micro CX
Man, i'm not having the luck with these small parkzone toys... my Vapor had a bad board on it, so i tried to replace it only to cause damage to the piece connecting the main beam to the wing... then i buy a blade mcx and after only a week when i apply full power the thing starts spinning counter clockwise... i called horizonhobby tech support and they said to take off the main board and send it to them... they wont let me send them the whole unit for repair on either unit... over $250 in toys that dont work... never again... -Matt

RE: Parkzone f4U Corsair Rtf
I have invested in a DX6i for my SC and my T-28. However, I'm amazed at the people who almost imply that you can't fly an aircraft without the "best" (i.e. most expensive and up to date) equipment. (i.e. don't bother with a DX6i, spend the extra $150 and get nothing but the best, a DX7, etc). They almost imply that without the best you will be grounded, only have trouble flying, and will be disappointed at the waste of money]
I have a DX6i and a DX7... i dont think the previous posters were saying you had to have the best, i think they were saying if you think your going to get into this hobby and be serious about it, maybe start out with a little better radio... and they are right... I bought the DX6i, filled all ten models in 4 months... looking back on it, i wished i had bought the DX7 radio from the start... I will keep both radios (using the DX6i as a trainer radio) but i could have saved myself the $179 for the DX6i in the long run... and some local hobby stores will break up the sets, for example, i bought the DX7 radio for $215 brand new with battery and charger from a LHS... $35 more than the DX6i... -Matt

RE: *Parkzone Typhoon 2 -Official Thread!*
I have a Typhoon 2... it was my first plane ever... not exactly the best choice for a first plane, but im a very quick learner... I've always liked rc airplanes but thought it was too complicated, too involved, and the nearest field is 20 minutes away from my house... and in Florida 20 minutes is the difference between sunshine and a thunder storm... I think horizon hobby is genius for their PNP's and RTF's... I since have purchased 9 more airplanes, and 2 helicopters... I wont go into a long story but i'd like to say that if the planes were only ARF's I would still be wondering if i should get one... the RTF pushed me over to try it, and i realized that flying them is only half the fun... i really enjoy working on them... I now own several ARF's... RTF's and PNP's are a great way for someone to get started in the hobby with little building... and i still fly my Typhoon 2 alot... i love that thing! If i totally destroyed it in a crash, i would go buy another immediately... its such a blast to harrier around the field... I havent put the SFG's on yet, but i think i will this weekend to see how it effects flight... -Matt

RE: flyzone diablo
I have the T-28 and the Typhoon 2... they both are excellent planes... The T-28 is definitely a fun and forgiving plane... its probably my favorite... I love to do harriers and 3d with the Typhoon... it was my first plane I ever... my new favorite is without a doubt the new Parkzone Vapor... finally, a plane i can actually fly, harrier and 3d IN MY HOUSE! and the best part, ultra forgiving... I think it only weighs like 9 or 10 grams... i ran it directly into the ground and it didnt do any damage at all... which i cant say about the Micro Citabria... I sneeze on that thing and brake a prop shaft... :) -Matt
