Schumacher USA Update
Just a little update for you guys trying to contact us via email and phone today; A semi truck backed into a transformer behind our building and will not have power at the office today (08-10-09). Were hoping to have the power restored by tomorrow morning but I will keep all the threads updated as we get more info. Were closed today and working from home and i'm going to check the office tomorrow morning.

RE: Schumacher's Newest Rc - Manic
ORIGINAL: nitrohead5300 Adam I had 3 fusions and the track we raced on was dusty and even with the belt cover I had to replace the belt often I can't believe that since the belt is setting out in the open with no proctection that it would not be subsitable to a wear problem....... but time will tell.[:D]
That's weird cause I'm still running my original belts

RE: Schumacher's Newest Rc - Manic
For those of you that are worried about the belt holding up in the new Manic think about this... Nic Case holds the R/C speed record using a highly modified Schumacher MI3.5 touring car. But this car used 2 of the front grey belts (Part # U3012) which are 3mm stock belts, as a matter a fact those grey belts are normally used in stock racing only, the black belts are used for mod racing. So I'm going to bet that the belt on the Manic is going to hold up just fine if the thinner softer belts for the touring car and handle 161MPH Something else to ponder on this, Nic Cases car was an 8HP electric vehicle, and the Manic is nowhere near that powerful

RE: New Savage Flux - Using Less than 25c lipo???
ORIGINAL: IceWindius I have sent the following email to SMC directly and I will post here so everyone is informed of what is currently being done about this. Dear SMC, It has come to my attention as well as many other Flux owners that very possibly one of your associates is spreading VERY misleading and inaccurate information about the battery requirements in regards to HPI's Savage Flux, particularly the MMM ESC created and provided by Castle Creations. It has been stated both via the HPI Flux manual and Castle Creations president that the MMM will work best and most reliably with battery systems that are able to provide 120 continuous amps which equates to a rating of 25C or above on Lipo batteries. Castle themselves have stated that lower rated and or quality batteries severely risks power spikes and fluctuations that can easily destroy the MMM ESC. I would like further details and investigation into this as already many peoples Flux's MMM's have died as a result of poor battery choices and having your associates giving MORE false information is going to lead to Castle and HPI have some VERY angry customers. I am currently running your 6000mAH 28C Lipo hard cased Sport MAX batteries on my Savage Flux and they are doing very well and im very impressed with the run time and power they provide my truck. Being my first brushless RC as well as Lipo usage, my initial impression of your products is very high. However, I will not tolerate a company that gives false and misleading information that results in peoples products being damaged and destroyed and I ask on behalf of me and MANY other brushless RC trucks for an inquiry into this. Sincerely, ********** HPI Savage Flux owner and concerned SMC battery owner. Below is the attached thread where this discussion began http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8821191/anchors_8822591/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#8822591
Seriously quote me one sentence where SMC or castle has told anyone your complaint online?

RE: I love Schumachers !
Schumacher is one of the oldest R/C companies out there, this year is our 30th year in the radio controlled market. Schumacher has always designed, and carried their own vehicles. We have carried some "OEM" vehicles over the years but we have never claimed them as our own, we've always had our own line of vehicles. In the UK, your right the Raptor, and the 8th buggy were both OEM's, but as for the Fusion, Menace line, Havoc, Cat's, Riot, Rascal and Mi3.5 those are all in house designs, as well as the new things were working on for 2009. As for parts if your in the states you can go to Stormer Hobbies, A Main Hobbies, Speedtech RC, and also your hobby shop of choice and just ask for it, I set new dealers up daily and it doesn't take anything for your LHS to become a dealer.
ORIGINAL: SAVAGEJIM Does Shoemaker make their own RCs or are they resellers (buy from a chinese RC factory and rebadges them with their own brand stickers)? I know the Raptor, an 8th scale that Shumacher sells is such an RC, Shumacher buys from Nanda (the Nanda Raptor), but Shumacher puts their own badges on it and sells it as teh Shumacher Raptor. As a matter of fact, Exceed also buys from Nanda, but Exceed changed the name of this clone RC to Mad Beast. I only ask because I know very little about Shumacher; I have only seen an on-road on in real-life, and I had absolutely no idea where to get parts to fix one.
LaComa, It is a quality car thats for sure, is it for beginners, I would have to say no. An 80 MPH car is not a good learning tool, I would start out with something a bit slower first then work your way up to it because it is a lot of car man.

One lead, normally with a Deans type T connector or bullet connectors are used for the main power and charging while the 2nd line is used for balancing the cells
ORIGINAL: bmx833 oh and another question, why do lipos have 2 conectors?
Aluminum Clutch Shoes
I get the question "Why doesn't Schumacher use aluminum clutch shoes on its vehicles well your answers are here. We now have aluminum clutch shoes for the Fusion 28, Fusion 21 and Menace 21, and not to forget the Menace GTR! Part # U7006 available now, ask for it at your LHS!

RE: what diff oil?
The Fusion 28 doesn't use diff oil, I would suggest a very good Silicon Diff lube such as the Schumacher silicon diff lube (part # U1301) and for the thrust bearing use the U1957 black moly grease.

I use tire sause already , and the spoiler helped a lot since i did not have one before , and i will try those tires when mine get a little more warned down , do those tires fit on the fusion 28 without any adapters , do they stick out more and look odd . . ? RE: fusion 21 mods ?
From what we've seen it does not help that much, the pipe on the 28 is larger so you get the correct back pressure on the 28, I think that would be to free with the 21 and you would have troubles in tuning the engine because you wont be getting enough back pressure through the pipe.
ORIGINAL: jayson415 i meant to put the fusion 28 pipe in the fusion 21 , would the change help?
I haven't heard anything about TRX fuel. We run, tune, break in all the Schumacher vehicles with 20% fuel, we use Maxy's here in the shop. And there are longer body posts, the part number is U2154

RE: Vent about rc cars you regret buying..
I was severely disappointed with my Bruiser purchase years ago, I knew it was an awesome vehicle so I shelved it and never drove it and it just rusted out sitting there as a never driven. I wasn't as popular as it is today so more my regret of selling it in like 1992, but it did rust out sitting on a shelf.

Well I'm sure it will fit with Minor modification but the aerodynamics might still not assist, I don't see a rear wing on that body, and I would recommend that.
