RE: Silvercan Speed record
I'm going to say 13mph would be a pretty impressive achievement with one of those 'things.'

RE: most high-end (quality) esc/motor for my TC5?
LRP TC Spec has proven time and time again that it is the best TC ESC on the market. By default, this ESC wins every big competition, and it is noteworthy and surprising if anything else takes first place.

How about my four month old 008US for $360? Raced on carpet (no scratches), diffs feel like new, I'll include a few spare parts.

RE: big race
The Saskatoon club races are every Saturday. But, we do take some weeks off for holidays and WCICS races. March 15 is the next S'toon race, and after that we don't race until April. You are welcome to come up.

RE: big race
Cool, a Regina guy. I would have been at the race today, but no one else from S'toon was going. To take the fun to the next level of intensity, consider coming to the Calgary WCICS race at the end of March. We always set up carpooling and shared hotel rooms to keep the cost down. Adam Glatt

RE: Xray T2'08 U.S., Mamba Max, 5700kv motor, & 3S Lipo
I looked into airplane motors in a touring car before, and realized that they wouldn't bolt in and work. You need a motor that is the same or smaller diameter, has the right bolt pattern, and has the right shaft size w/ flat spot.

RE: electric motor data- where?
Why? Because the systems they are used in have already been designed. Consumers don't need to know that data.

RE: 11.1V Lipo for JR 10X transmitter??
I sold the 10X and bought a Aggressor, which is powered by a 3s1320 and loving it. I've also spent months (3+) using 9CAPs and 9Xs on 3s lipo. All worked far better than with round cells (lighter, longer run time, faster charge...).

RE: money money
ORIGINAL: racerj3 Actually the money is kinda slow for a competition 19T. I've dynoed three of them and they all come in at 23500rpm @ 5.0 volts. I have a Team Fantom hand wound 19T (green can) that sports 24500rpm @ 5.0 volts. And my brother has a Team Fantom machine wound 19T (blue can) thats running 27600rpm @ 5.0 volts, and there both the EPIC based can. Heck my dad even has a Komodo pro that puts out 25500 @ 5.0 volts, haven't had a chance to dyno any of the 2007 elements though, so I can't say for them.
Yikes, that's some ridiculous reasoning and advice there. I recommend you look up the equation for acceleration and terminal velocity - the two measures that determine how fast a car is. In both you'll find that horsepower is the only measure of motors that matters. From there you can look up the equation for horsepower and see why I'm calling what you just wrote ridiculous.

There's so many NiMh batteries out there that I don't know what to recommend. But, I do know that the LRP is a nicer package than the Novak.

RE: Any experience with the XRAY T2'008?
I've had the 007US and now the 008US. The 007 was better than the T2, and the 008 is better than the 007. Not by a lot, but there are improvements. First off, don't plan on upgrading from one version to the next. It's simply cheaper to sell the car you have and buy a used newer one. Considering you can get a 4-15 month old 007 for $240, it has to be high on your buy list. A T2 is probably going to be $180. That's $60 well spent to have a 007 rather than a T2, but the additional $240 to go from used 007 to new 008 is only worth it if you are really good at racing.
