RE: UT-160 turbine? Feedback please?
So,will I still get 16+kg of thrust with old style Kamps diffuser(with glued vanes). That kind of diffuser is more similar to helical diffuser in UT160-ZA than to the two stage diffuser in UT160.

RE: UT-160 turbine? Feedback please?
So that menas that I can use the compressor like on Kamps turbine(book "Model jet engines")? Here is the picture(it's a simple round piece of metal with glued vanes): http://www.gtba.co.uk/engine_designs/kamps.php You can see picture of Kamps diffuser under "Materials".Is that ok for UT160? Will I still get 16kg of thrust?

RE: UT-160 turbine? Feedback please?
I have one noobish question.Has the diffuser design anything with thrust? What are the differences between helical(or two stage)diffuser and the kamps one(with glued vanes)? Can the same thrust(16-18kg)be achieved with kamps style diffuser on UT-160ZA ? Here is my situation.I have a lathe that I am going to convert to CNC but I don't have a mill.So it would be great thing if I could get away without mill by building Kamps style diffuser. I apologise if there is any misunderstandment,English is not my first language.

Wow,this price can't be beaten: http://www.skipmillermodels.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SD%2D10G And for jet trainer I even don't need 10 ch so I can buy 10 ch receiver after when buying scale jet.

Just a noob qurstion(I don't want to open new thread).Since P-80SE can be set as external kero start and P-120SX is internal kero start,is it the sam erule about 4-8 o'clock for both turbines?

RE: Tx up to 550$ for turbine jet
ORIGINAL: landeck The other Futaba system you might look at is the 8FG Fasst system. It, like the 10C has 8 fully proportional channels a two on/off switch channels. You would need the 14 channel Fasst receiver to use the extra two channels. Bruce
That means that it has 10 ch (like 10C)when used with 14 ch receiver? That might be worth consideration.

RE: Tx up to 550$ for turbine jet
ORIGINAL: jetjockey69 You are overlooking one of the best radio systems out there (in my opinion): Airtronics! The SD-10G is awesome, and you could even use the much less expensive, 8 channel Airtronics RDS-8000 for a sport jet. Both of these radios work great and are not prone to interference at all (and use the same type of freq control that Futaba uses). I have flown all the high end JR, Futaba and Airtronics radios, and my first choice is Airtronics. Keith
Does it use the same spread spectrum technology?I talked to snir2001 and he told me that FASST is most "jet-friendly". I really need 9 ch or more cuz at some point I want to have wing lights or operational canopy on scale jet.

Tx up to 550$ for turbine jet
Since I'm buying my first turbine trainer,I need new Tx(I had spectrum DX5e).Currently,Futaba 10C 2,4GHz,Aurora 9 2,4GHz and JR DSX9 2,4GHz seems like the best option at this price range.Which one would be the best for my turbine trainer(Jetmach supersport) and some sport and scale jets after(like Flash and FEJ F16 1:8)?

Wow!Super Eagle consumes 9.1 oz of fuel.I never noticed that.It seems that it is above competition in this segment. EDIT:I am interested how can Jetcat P80SE consum 9 oz of fuel, just like super eagle and P80SE is putting out 8lbs less thrust(and turns on similar rpm)?

Bcovish, why are you spamming my thread? Please, leave me alone. Bevar,P100 should have about 24-25 pounds of thrust in P70 size.hat means that it would fit in smalle jets like tamjet A4.But,if it doesn't come out before february,I think I'll go with P80SE.It is proven design and can be made as kerostar(though P100 should be internal kerostart?) Anyway,I appreciate your help guys.We will see how will situation go on.

Wow!I didn't know that I will get so many answers.I have to say that jet central is out of my reach. So,with P80SE,I will be able to fly more airframes than with K80?Wren 100 is out of my reach, even if it is same price as supersport. I can wait for P100. Wren 70 no way,too weak fo my needs,I think. P80SE is 289 eur more expensive than K80(K80-1350 eur,P80SE-1639 eur).
