Dave, Gorgeous model... and great video!!! The flight looked great, too. Classic lines, great overall looks... you got a winner there, Dave.

RE: Pitcairn PCA-2 & Cierva C-6
Emilio, Please extend my congrats to Jesus on a fine job. The PCA-2 is probably my favorite autogyro, and Jesus has done an outstanding job replicating the full size version. Thanks for sharing the great pictures!

Gary, That looks like a beautiful field you guys have up there! So... what's everyone leaning towards: Muncie or Sheboygan Falls?

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
Joel, You bring up a very good point, and would apply to anyone making a long trip. All the more reason to stick with Muncie for 2009. As I stated in a previous post, the thing to do would be for me to make a trip over there during their event and check it all out first. Then share the info here with you all and decide if it's a viable site for 2010.

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
Jim and Gary, Thanks for posting that. Based on that info I'm leaning back toward Muncie. The best thing for me would be to visit there during their event and see what it's all about. Anyway... I'll place my vote for Muncie for the 2009 Gyronuts Fun Fly event.

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
Jim, Good input. I also wondered about conflicting airspace. I share your concern. It would be a question of what control does the PRA event coordinator have over when the full size are flying. I guess it would be a good idea to at least discuss how this would be handled with them. Let me know if you end up calling them and what they say.

RE: 2009 Summer Gyro meet
Jim, Bernie mentioned to me that the folks who run the PRA Convention in Mentone, IN would entertain the idea of having us at their event. Here is a link to the info on their site: http://www.pra.org/index.php?view=article&catid=43%3AConvention&id=99%3Amentone-convention&option=com_content&Itemid=59 If nothing else it would be a way to introduce our hobby to a lot more folks since attendence to their event would probably be pretty good. Their facility is pretty complete with showers, concession stand, etc. Might be a lot of fun to some real ones buzzing around. They had it August 5th through the 9th this year. Next year's event dates aren't posted yet, however. What does everyone think?

RE: Autogyro pusher AL III
Alazaro, Congratualtions on a very nice looking and flying model! What is the fuselage made of, fiberglass or foam or something else? I also found another video of yours of what looked like another pusher autogyro with a flatter fuselage... was it a prototype?

Back from iHobby Expo...
All, I just returned from the iHobby Expo. What a great show! Cool stuff everywhere. Thanks to RC Universe for the nice pic and for writing a nice blurb about my booth and the autogyros on display. Here is what John wrote in his post #4: "Aero Balsa is right next door with their unique and interesting line of RC auto gyro kits. Offerings include models designed for either glow or electric, and all are easy to fly in spite of their odd appearance. While auto gyro's look very much like a helicopter, they fly like an airplane. Unlike most airplanes however, an auto gyro can hover motionless in a light breeze and descend vertically much like a helicopter while the pilot controls it like an airplane." Here's the link to the thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6514312/tm.htm You need to be at the show next year! Watch for the announcements and plan for it. Hope to see you there!

RE: Autogyro Fun Fly is getting close!
Nitrohog, While we don't have a swap meet, I've seen a transaction or two take place at past events. If nothing else, this is the place to see what these autorotating creations are all about and to ask questions. It would be great have you there -- and anyone else interested in them. There will be plenty of experienced experts on hand, and I know of at least two or three manufacturers that will be there.
