RE: Hows Global Jet Club plane's quality?
Go for it playerpete, the GJC (JL) Hawk is a nice jet and you'll be happy with it. Based on all the posts this year I'd think this has to be the best selling jet right now. There's a great build thread on it too.

What's up Crew! I'm down for Friday, bringing smoke oil for the Hawk. Hopefully it wont be to cloudy that day per the forecast.

RE: Jetlegend T-45 Hawk
Jean, Move your CG back to 140 for the maiden, you'll save yourself a lot of clicks of up trim. I'm getting mine ready again for the winter season. I also have a P-80. I'm thinking about putting a P-120 in it, but it may be to much for the pipe. Might be worth a flight or two to find out. The JL Hawk flies great. Good luck with your maiden. Ken

RE: WOODLAND/DAVIS JET MEET.....
Spent the day up at Woodland on Saturday. Weather was great, about 35 pilots in all. Good quality jets and flights from everybody. Although I did managed to bring it down a notch with my landing gear falling out my Rookie every landing. [:)] Definitely have to fix those gear blocks for good this winter. Unfortunately I didn't get to take any photos, so hopefully you guys that went and took pictures please post them when you get a chance. Thanks again to Chris, Monty, Hoppy and everybody else for another smooth "last year" annual jet rally. Ken

RE: RAFALE TURBINE JET
Yes I agree, saw one this weekend at Woodland-Davis jet rally. Really nice looking jet and the right size. Crowd loved it. I'm still happy with my X-treme Jets B01 however, still going strong.

RE: Rookie Canard/ JR 10x programming...Help please !
...wait until you try it [;)] Set the canards on a regular Aux channel and then mix the Aux channel to the Flap System. Put the Flap System on the three position switch as well as set the canard brake to go up automatically with full throttle (need to confirm as Tx is at home). I had mine setup to come down quickly to avoid the pitch-up effect. I personally didn't like how the canards effected the flight path to the landing. It seemed better to have a lot of throw in the canard as well as thrust vectoring on to land it slow. I also recall setting up the geometry of the push rod to do the canard brake was a pain. Getting the canard to pitch down to 75-85 degrees required having to unscrew the canards from the shaft as well as centering the servo arm multiple times. More trouble than its worth IMHO just to save a channel.

RE: Pablo’s Electrified Jet Legends Hawk
Hey, this looks interesting, I have an empty JL Hawk waiting for a motor. Whats the diameter of the Dyn-E-Max fan for 12S? I'm pretty sure the intake in there now will have to go, so would it be possible to get an EDF conversion kit for existing JL Hawks? Thanks, Ken

RE: Jetlegend T-45 Hawk
Come-on guys, this thread has the answers, do your research. This Hawk is easy to fly, but it wont be anything like the KingCat. KingCat can do more at slower speeds.

RE: P-80 IN JET LEGEND T-45?
1. Standard pipe w/ kit will work with P-80 2. You'll need new rails to mount/fit the P-80 3. You'll need to shim the P-80 to align with pipe angle 4. Need to cut the ducting to get access to P-80 and allow for more air flow 5. If you introduce smoke oil, be aware that it will ignite with the right amount 6. Balance is at 142 mm back from front of wing when attached 7. Fly's fine with 3 liters of fuel plus 15 oz smoke 8. Doors are an issue, but if you have time it can be overcome 9. I added flitemetal around engine/pipe for added protection

RE: Digital servos on nose wheel steering and flight controls
i3dm, I'm using some old airtroincs analog servos for the flaps, probably a good idea to go analog on those if you got them. I'm using a digital jr servo for the nose wheel steering without any issues. I believe its a jr 8231. Did you modify the elevator mechanism with the parts from GJC? Ken

RE: Jetlegend T-45 Hawk
i3dm, I'm using three of these without any problems (rudder, ailerons x2): http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec/Models/RadioControl/Hitec/HitecHS-5125MG.html Check the specs against your servo selection and make a decision. As far as the air brakes, I tack glued mine closed but I'm sure you could do a servo with a little engineering work. Ken
