RE: Old Rhienbeck Aerodrome on the 8th
In the past I've come up for just Saturday, but this year I'll be coming up for the whole weekend. Is there a place to store planes on site without having to disassemble them?

Rhinebeck Jamboree 2011
Any other RCU members attend the Jamboree this past weekend? I was only able to come for Sunday, and it seemed much smaller than in previous years, but it was still a blast as always. He means to say that this isn't a thread to show off your scale model. While it is nice, this thread is for images of planes that look like they could be real, if not entirely indistinguishable from a real plane. Basically, your pictures are of a scale airplane, but not ones in which it looks real.

Sorry for the great big wall of pictures, I have a lot of them. These are only a sampling, really. Some pictures from Rhinebeck: Prepping my Pup to fly: DVIII mishap: The big DVI: These big Pups are always popular, and for god reason. They fly wonderfully: Some wonderful models: Shame what happened to this plane. It was a really wonderful model, but the pilot ended up putting it in not 5 feet from the flight positions. It was actually kind of scary, as I was only 4 positions over, getting ready to start my Pup. What struck me is how violent the crash was; it didn't seem like it was going very fast. Does anyone know why it went down? I love my Xoar WWI prop. It pulls my plane around really well, and has survived 2 nose overs without so much as a scratch. I don't think you can go too far wrong with one of them.

RE: Best scale photo!
That's more post-shading than pre-shading, but I agree. Many plastic modeling techniques simply do not translate well to a larger scale. While it's interesting to look at, it's not very scale in terms of accurate replication of real weathering and paint shading.

The difference between the wo planes is really only in the cowl color. A Flight used red, B flight used blue, and C flight used black. C Flight also used themed names, such as Black Arrow (mine), Black Prince, Black Tulip, etc. They are so damn cool, yet you rarely see a C flight Pup anywhere.
