Awesome let us know how it goes, even some recorded videos posted on youtube and linked here would be awesome. $30ish servos at HK are great value but the Savox servos are a perfect balance of quality, reliability and price but I still use the HK ones.

RE: Setup for an OFNA hyper star electirc
Yes I forgot they require programming card thanks for bringing that up Foxy but the cards are $7.80 for the Turnigy TrackStar ESC and $5.74 for the Hobby King 150A ESC. I have had a good experience with the Turnigy and HK branded 150AMP ESC's I admit that on 6s I worry but nothing has ever gone wrong with a little program tweaking (timing and punch) eliminating any issues I encountered with the slight cogging. That ESC looks pretty identical to the Turnigy version. Turnigy TrackStar 150A 1/8th Scale Brushless Car ESC SKYRC TORO 1/8 RC Model Buggy X8 1900KV Brushless Motor & 150A ESC Combo ME775 I would say that they are one in the same. As for the motor they look the same but the KV is different though they state the following Motor Limits : Brushless KV <= 2400: Up to 6S(25.2Volt), for 1/8 monster trucks and truggies - Brushless KV >2400: Up to 4S(16.8Volt), ideal for 1/8 buggies which makes the Turnigy motor excesive for their 6s setup which is interesting as 66780RPM is high but may not be a major problem depending on the build quality of the motor and I have not run 6s on the trackstar yet but have run 6s on the 2200kv Mamba Monster. Sorry to say again, identical. Here are pics of the program cards. Even the control card is identical layout. I am convinced that these are the same just rebadged. Savox servos are awesome if it fits into your budget. I love to go overkill and aim for speed 0.10-0.13 sec and 18-25kg torque. Just found this sensored Turnigy motor. RE: Setup for an OFNA hyper star electirc
I am in Austrlia so I always order from Hongkong unless the Aus warehouse has what I need/want. I have only used a 1/10th scale sensored motor from HK it wasn't great and not suitable for 1/8 scale but did the job for my 1/10th onroad/drifter. I have both these servos but haven't had extensive use with them yet but I have used lesser servos from HK and they were awesome so I expect these to be better as they are stronger and last a good amount of time for the price. Both under $35 + shipping. Mi Digital High Voltage Metal Gear Servo 23.0kg / 0.12 Hobbyking S4020D Coreless Digital Titanium Gear Servo (HV) 21.8kg / 0.13s Yeah the 150AMP would be good just keep in mind the dimensions of the footprints. Mate I just realised your in Rehovot, ISRAEL sorry I didn't check first off just asumed you were in the USA. BTW my mother is going to Isreal in October for a few weeks has been a dream of hers for years now but anyways hehe. Hope the servo and other info is a help to you.

RE: Setup for an OFNA hyper star electirc
Hobby King gear checkout the following; (click titles or pic to take you too the website link) There are 150AMP versions of both these ESCs but none at the USA warehouse so would have to order from else way causing delays oh and also a 160AMP version of the Turnigy. This setup should be awesome on 4s I have the 150AMP versions of the ESCs and they have worked awesome all the way to 6s but on 6s and 5s I use my MM motor but this trackstar motor works great on 4s just tweak gearing to temps. Turnigy TrackStar 120A Brushless Short Course Truck ESC (USA Warehouse) $53.42 + shipping Turnigy TrackStar 4168 2650KV 1/8th Brushless Motor (USA Warehouse) $49.82 + shipping Also these batteries are very good I have these and the 5.8AMP and the 6.6AMP packs. Hobby King 120A Sensored/Sensorless Car ESC (1:8/1:5) (USA Warehouse) $39.73 + shipping Turnigy nano-tech 6000mah 2S2P 65~130C Hardcase Lipo Pack (USA Warehouse) A bit cheaper than the turnigy and has the sensored option but it has a larger footprint something to consider. So around $120 max with shipping for a good combo.

Wow 810 hasn't been around very long to be discontinued though it's size & weight always made me wonder how it would be legal in a ROAR or IFMAR sanctioned race. I might be wrong with what the 810s dimensions ut that sucks though the 810 parts are interchangable with some of their other models I believe.
ORIGINAL: Eman77 Question on the HPI Bullet - are the wheels and tires on it MT sized? Truggy sized? Or what? I just can't tell, they look huge (but it could be just how they are compared to that chassis)
Based on the info provided in the post a shared these are the dimensions. - Rim diameter: 84mm - Wheel diameter: 130mm - Tyre width: 68mm
ORIGINAL: Mysterious This fancy thing you're on called the internet eliminates being confined by what your LHS stocks. Neither LHS here stocks HPI but I told the one that gave me the best price to order in a Savage Flux as my 1st vehicle.. parts I just buy off ebay... but whatever vehicle floats your boat... no sense buying something you like less just cause its available locally

ORIGINAL: SyCo_VeNoM 90% of the time unless its some extremely popular RC at the hobby shops when I went(this is true at the ones I've gone to) generally am told they can get the part in 3-5 business days... So drive there do the order drive back wait 3-5 days just to go back again, and pay a markup vs waiting the same time in my house. This is a major killer to me seeing it costs me literally $8 in gas to go back and forth once so in the end I would pay 10% markup, 10% tax, and $16 on top of what I can get off the net with no effort. Now if your LHS is close, low markup, and low taxes it might work out good in the end, but for a good chunk of us it doesn't. Also paypal can debit from your checking if you want if you don't like credit.

ORIGINAL: Eman77 Our LHS (by my work) went out of business. Only stocked Traxxas parts, and HPI parts for stuff I didn't own. Nice. I'm just fine ordering online, as I get much, much better variety of what I want. I can deal with a few days wait. There are times at work where I was so busy I couldn't get to the LHS for days anyway (and sometimes THEY would have to order it for me, more delays). Online is so much easier for me.

ORIGINAL: phmaximus Good point, If the LHS has to order it why not order it yourself? One of the other resons i dont go to my LHS (appart from price & availability) hows a ezrun 35a combo is just under $150!!!!! what a rip... It run by a grumpy old man, & honestly they no nothing about the newer cars. Even on this forum there has been a few cases of there LHS giving out bad advice.
All these points are exactly my thoughts and experiences. Ezrun 35AMP ESC here at my LHS wants $260 for it that is stupid but that is what they want, talk about mark up!
two types 30deg and 25deg version perhaps you have the 30deg version as Jang (URC) came up with the idea of this hopup to increase steering angle and decrease rolling resistance and I have found it to be true on both counts. Still loving the look of your body and tyres pimped. I wonder if I could fit a nice style body on frank but wide enough to enclose the wheels I will have to look at dimensions.

RE: Are you new to RC? This is my opinion on entry level 4x4 truck choices.
Just to make sure battery was going to fit I tracked down the dimensions on a different forum, lucky I did. I thought I would link what I found as the battery I was going to order was a little thick 29mm where the box space is 23mm by the dimensions provided. Before we get on to the pictures, here are the measurements I took. The HPI site doesn't provide any of these, so I thought that I would, in case you're thinking of modding this, and you want all the info up front. - Length: 415mm - Width: 330mm - Height: 177mm - Height to handle (shell off): 143mm - Rim diameter: 84mm - Wheel diameter: 130mm - Ground clearance: 53mm - Distance between center of wheels (breadth): 163mm - Distance between front and rear drive shaft axle: 281mm - Tyre width: 68mm - Battery box width: 23mm (smallest) - Battery box length: 173mm - Battery box height: 50mm - Body shell pin distance (length): 265mm - Body shell pin distance (breadth): 78mm - Lowest body pin height: 130mm (from the ground, so 77mm from the chassis) - Extended shock length: 101mm (from center to center of attachment screws) - Shell height: 123mm - Shell length: 405mm - Shell width: 173mm Now, on to the pictures!
