Futaba Cross Trim
I just changed my 9Z transmitter from the default cross trims to the conventional regular trim position to be compatible with my 10CAG. How do I make the throttle trim effective at low throttle and the elevator trim effective across its full range? That did not change when I changed from cross trim. Dan

Thanks you two. I found ROC batteries in Van Nuys. I'll give them a try.I don't know what their association with Cermark is. ROC? That used to stand for Republic of China. Mr. Cermark, I believe, was from Taiwan. Dan.

The best tool is AV8TOR's recommendation. It will give you the best centering. Balance it after you drill it. If you can without too much sanding, you're lucky. Tell us how it came out. Dan.

Roger, thanks for the thanks. Bill has retired and turned the business over to Adrian. I have been using CH ignitions since 1995 and they are the only ones worth the expenditure of any money. You'll find that RCU is a great source of good information from across the USA and even further. I have benefited a lot from all the posters. Dan.

All ignition equipment, including an electronic kill switch, must be mounted at least 12", and preferably 14", away from all radio equipment, including throttle servos, etc. Ignition kill switch should always be on opposite side of fuselage from radio kill switch. All pushrods... is not sufficient). I'll attach a couple of emails I got from JR and Hitec. Dan.

Ortho, Here's what I do. Dan. Here is a finishing technique that is easy to apply, takes about two weeks and yields a good result. Brush on a full strength coat of Valspar Lacquer Sanding Sealer.... A Devilbiss touch up gun with a heavy duty tip was used for all the paints. The prototype model..., not necessarily representing any particular plane. All the trim were painted with Rustoleum. RE: Sterling 48
Tom, you enter the Midway on the hanger deck. It's several sets of ladders up to the bridge and another few down to the decks below. After you go up or down, it's back down or up. The reasons they are called ladders and not stairs is because they are a b*tch to negotiate. You better wait until you have a good set of knees. I removed the original strut by first removing the screws and then good old brute force to pop off the strut. Actually a number 18 X-acto chisel blade was used. You may remember that the strut was bonded on with Gorilla glue. I did not use epoxy for just this scenario. You can see how far off the new strut is from the old one. The screw mounting holes were also off quite a bit. A second new strut was no better. A mixture of Z-poxy Finishing Resin and Sig micro balloons was used to make up the difference and I used one of the shafts to find the correct location of the strut for minimum resistance and hold it in position until the mixture cured. You can see that I made sure there was an epoxy puddle over the screw holes to act as a screw head since I could not use screws as before. This cured and the resistance on the shaft was still very low. Some primer and then paint and that’s where it is now.
