RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
ORIGINAL: loungefly I just got my new sukhoi a couple of days ago. They took forever to get to Australia. However I am having a problem with what seems to be the elevator servo. I can get full down elevator but only about 1mm of up elevator. I haven't been able to fly it yet because of this. I have a DX6i and can see on the ''monitor'' that the elevator is not going up or the servo is not working properly. I have also opened up the fuse to see if a pushrod was catching but it doesn't seem to be. Anyone else had this problem or have any ideas on how to fix it? Or is it something really simple that i am missing?
I'm not a grease monkey but two things concern me with your situation. Certain DX6i were recalled for poorly responding potentiometers. Do you have similar problems with your other planes? When you turn on the Transmitter without ANY planes ON, do you get the same response from the monitor? Any skipping? Lastly, and I hope it could be this. Did you program full 100% TRAVEL for the ELEVATOR Channel? It maybe restricted in one direction and you may not be aware of it ALSO check your ELEV EXPO & DUAL RATES. That's my 2cents

RE: Sukhoi Su-26M BNF by ParkZone
ORIGINAL: Wheelnut That is actually good news. I know the Triton will do lipos. Do you have a lipo balancer that you use with it? I just didn't see these questions being asked, so I am trying to cater the answer to your needs.
Yes! I have 2 Astroflight balancers (that big green square with lights in my mod) and 1 TP 210 for the TP Lipo connectors. I just connect them and charge through the Deans. By the time the charge is done, they are balanced. BTW the Triton can do upto 4S @ 2.5 Amps and NiMH and PB. Good for 2200mAh Lipos but slow for the 4000 or 5000mAh capacity cells. The Astroflight is strickly for Lipos and can do upto 8S @ 8Amps. Big jobs of course go to the Astroflight. I have BOTH connected to my Radio Shack power $99 converter (the ONLY thing I would pay that much for at Radio Shack). I can charge two Lipos at once without a hitch![:D] Thanks Gene K: It was actually a challenge and a good exercise for me

FERNDALE AIR FORCE: Actually they charge in series, so the end charge voltage is near 12.60v. So it charges as a 3S 110mAh. I use the lead to check that each cell is good and drain to 3.7v each. I suppose a balance charger would do the same.
ORIGINAL: patzane I get paid 2morrow and wanted to asks if this Sukhoi worth to buy, and if so what are your reasons.
PROS 1. Micro plane 2. Ready to Bind 2.4GHz 3. Only Retail Micro-plane that uses all control surfaces 4. Only Retail Micro-plane that can do Rolls & Loops 5. A micro that can handle 5-7mph light breeze CONS 1. Flies too fast for in-house flight. More like in a gym 2. Need baseball in-field size to fly outdoors 3. Inconsistant manufacturing leaving SOME with CG problems 4. Unclear if servos were "zero-ed" at the factory well as the PZ Vapors 5. Motor needs more torque for true 3D. 6. A compuerized transmitter is a must. 7. Brushed Motor Would you buy it again if you had a "do-over"? YES! It's the only Retail Micro-plane that can do rolls and loops. The consumer can adjust the CG and a computerized transmitter can adjust trims and EXPO. Horizon plans to have a motor upgrade available. DIY Motor upgrades can be had for as little as $30-$40.

Face it; it’s an exciting vehicle that has sparked the interest of many. It is also a recurring topic. There is no cut and dry brand or capacity to buy. Battery costs are all over the map ie MaxAmps vs HobbyCity. I lose my patience when the answer is at the top of the page and the question is posed at the bottom. Patience...Patience[;)]
