RE: Tomahawk-Design Bae Hawk 1: 3.5
Hello Scott, thank´s for your answer! I am sure you can tell, as you have them both [:D] A few pages back i saw a pic of your Red Arrows Hawk on a very nice (self made?) stand. This stand looks very good to me for working on the model; would it be possible to get a sketch with dimensions for it so i can build one myself? Your help is very much appriciated! Hello Tobba, many thanks for your reply and your PN i have received! Your build is the standard we are get mesured on - it will be very very hard to beat that [;)] At the end it does not matter who is in the air first, a well thought out build is just as much fun to watch as to see them fly. I always say to myself - i got two hobbies: One is building them; and the other flying them. Just make sure when you are in germany to get in touch with me, maybe we can meet and have a good time on the field [;)] Best regards Thomas

RE: Tomahawk-Design Bae Hawk 1: 3.5
Hello you TH Bae Hawk lovers! I am Thomas from Germany and i have followed this thread here from the beginning on. What you guys make out of this kit is truly outstanding and gives lots of tricks and helps on the build. After a long time if raising money for such a projekt, i really look forward to get my kit at Jetpower fair. I went for the Hawk 100 wich i want to modify to a 127 from Australien Air Forces. Power will be provided by the new Behotec 220 Turbine. This Turbine puts out about 22kg of thrust, but has the size and the weight of a 16kg thrust class engine (weight saving of about 1,6kg). I will use JR 8911 Servos all around, Powerbox SRS, Powerbox I-Gyro and Powerbox Lipos. I also ordered the tank set from Marc Scully. This thread here was very helpful to get all this information. Looking forward to the build :-) Cheers Thomas

RE: Pirotti Tuono
Hi Lihor; Hi Joe; many thanks for comfirming back to me! Just another question: How does the model behave when setting the flaps in landing position; do i need an elevator mix to it? Or in general, do you use any mixes at all? Which? Have you tried crow for landing? Cheers Thomas

RE: Pirotti Tuono
Hello Tuono flyers! Worke has kept me off doing the maiden on my JPS Tuono [:(] Last night i did the last checks and everything is working fine. I just want to ask you guys where is your center of gravity? Mauro suggest in his manual 15mm in front of the main spar; I have set mine to about 10-11 mm in front of the main spar (landing gear out, hopper full and main tanks filled just a little). Do you think thats OK? Cheers Thomas

RE: Graupner MC-32
Hi Mike, I have a MC-32 in use since march this year! The Hott system is working perfactly for me, i have the GR-32 receiver In my expensive jets and never lost one signal! But as Dave said, it is more a tray based tx then a thumb style tx. Price/Quality is second to non in my opinion! Cheers Thomas

RE: SM large Viperjet Cockpit mounting?
Hi Mike, many thanks for the pics and your description how you did it! That really helps me doing mine the same way [;)] One more question: The front of the cockpit with the istrument board and the black cover; it that mounted permanently to the fuse? It looks like on the pictures that these parts are not coming of with the canopy. Would i ask to much if you could post some pics on that as well? Your help is really appriciated, thanks! SM large Viperjet Cockpit mounting?
Hi guys, i just recently bought a large Viperjet from Skymasterjets! Everything is set up and ready to go - except the the two cokpits [:(] As i did not come up with a good method how i should mount the front and the back cockpits, so that i can take them out easyly after each flight. I have seen somewhere, that some are mounting them to the cockpit frame, but cant find any pictures of it. So i ask you guys how you did it? I would be very thankful for any tip you can give me!! Cheers Thomas

RE: I would like to introduce my Tuono
Hi Guys, many thanks for your answers! @ Enrique: This is how we use to attach the pipe to the Turbine, always centered and always the right distance. Just two spings on tension to hold the pipe. @ Rob: I know she looks empty. I got the basic cockpit available from Pirotti. But to be honest, it´s a piece of crap in my eyes. First it will be flown like that, but i sure plan to redesign the cockpit and put a nice pilot in the office ;-) Cheers Thomas

I would like to introduce my Tuono
Hi Guys, after some more days of raining out side i can announce that my Pirotti models Tuono is almost ready to rumble [:D] A few more things to do and she is ready to take to the skys. A few facts to this model and whats inside: It´s a Pirotti Models Tuono which i purchased last Jetpower fair, i ordered the model ready painted in this stage. Landing gear was custome made for me by IQ-hammer engines here in Germany, these are now available through them at their Shop! The Tuono will be powered by a Frank Turbines Golden Raptor putting out close to 20kg of thrust; fuel tank capacity around 7 liters The Tuono is also set up with a simple smoker which uses the turbine cumbustion pressure to put a 1,5 liter Dubro tank under pressure; controlled by a smart switch also from Frank Turbines. This time i have used the Spektrum A-6030 Servos which really look and perform smoothly. I use a Powerbox Baselog and two 3800mAh Life batteries, plus one 2000mAh Life batterie for the light system. Radio system is the new Graupner MC-32 Hott 2,4 Ghz. Thats basicly it, if got any question feel free to ask [;)]

RE: Pirotti Tuono Lovers - new landing gear wow
Hi Marc my friend, how are you doing? Yout mean Tomahawk? Well, thats maybe because he is manufactoring the gear for Tomahawk models [:D] At the moment i do not considering electric, as this gear has no connections to split for transport. Set up correctly once should do it here.heers But on a more complex model with doors i would go electric. Are you coming to this years Jetpower fair again? Cheers Thomas

So stay tuned as i continue [;)] Cheers Thomas PS: My friend Turbo has made few sets of this fantastic gear. Pirotti Tuono Lovers - new landing gear wow
To all Pirotti Tuono Lovers, finally i have received my custom made landing gear for my Pirotti Models Tuono! RE: Pirotti Tuono
Hi Joe, the two aluminum right angles are used to secure the outer wing to the fuselage! These angles will be glued to the fuselage outer rib where the slots are, see instructions. There should be also some kind of carbon or glass plates which you have to glue to the outer wings (slots). Hope you understand my sloppy englisch [:o] But you can see quit good in the insstructions how itßs done [;)] Cheers Thomas PS: I would contact your dealer about this gear problem! I see that you have the new design legs from Airtech germany, the older version (still available) would probably salve your problem! My gear for the Tuono is just in the making: It´s done by my friend Turbodiddi from IQ-Hammer Turbine; he will custome make the gear so everything will fit as it should!

RE: Pirotti Tuono info needed
Hi Joe, welcome to the club! I will receive my Tuono by the end of this month. I ordered my Tuono ready painted and partly build. This will be my second Tuono as i was not impressed with the Tuono in kit form. The fit of some parts was just no good for me, i am bit a nurd on this. But i love the unique looks and the overall presentation in the air. And i could witness the outstanding paint works on their planes during jetpower fair. If you need some kind of building instructions with Pictures, just send me your emailadress through PN. I am happy to send you a copy. Cheers Thomad
