Oh oh, I just went to look up the Miss Gemini at Airage and it's not listed. http://www.airagestore.com/miss-gemini.html Would it have been too hard to give me a call and say, "Dude, like um, we totaly lost the Miss Gemini master plans. Would you like your money back or would you like another set of plans in it's place?"
ORIGINAL: littlecrankshaf Dang, can't he see we've moved on now, since the thread has been well on it's way onto a whole other tangent... ripping Airage... providing the desired contrast to the incident with AMA, that any loyalist should appreciate...
Hey I'm not ripping airage or intentionally providing cover contrast for the AMA. It's just Bill and I had plans problems at the same time. Airage did I great job with the 3 plans that I ordered along with the missing set. I got them quick also. However the missing set situation is taking way too long to get sorted out. Here is the post where we ordered the plans back on July 4th. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11141360/anchors_11141360/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#11141360 Looks like everyone's orders worked out great save for my problem with the Miss Gemini.

I still haven't gotten my Miss Gemini plans. Airage has been giving me the runaround. I've never had a problem with them before. I wonder what the trouble is with this set of plans?

RE: AMA PLANS SERVICE SEE'N RED
Still no word from Airage on the missing Miss Gemini plans. No call backs, no return emails. I called today and was told that the shipping dept handles these problems. Funny noone ever told me that before. I gave my contact info yet again and was told that my info would be giving to the shipping dept and someone would call me back. I took a little initiative and got the number off the envelope that the plans came in and called them also. No answer so I just left a message for them to call me back.

Nice video! I checked out you YouTube channel. Tons of great RC videos from a world famous RC righter. Then shockingly I see I'm only the 7th subscriber! YouTube is so fickle. My nephew has 6 cell phone videos of himself crossing his eyes, and others of him and his friends having "fart offs" and he has 5,000 subscribers. Go figure! Anyway here is Dick's YouTube channel is you want to check out some videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/pettit46

RE: Plane suggestion for an Enya VT-240
Lots of planes out there that can use it. What type of plane do you like? Here is one in a WW I Albatros DVa http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KePzU3dq2ZY It can fit in round cowl planes. Stay away from narrow nose planes like P-51's I think a plane that will show off the engine would be best! I'm going to use mine in a Snider Cup type Sea Plane. A 1/3 scale Piper Cub might work with the engine inverted and the jugs sticking out the sides of the cowl at 45° angles with the pipes going down the sides. The engine sounds best at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle so chose a plane that is not a speed demon. Here is my VT-240! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix9-MqrNhbM

RE: NOTAM from Hell
Yep the can is tipped and the worms are spreading out. Soon there will be NOTAMS when a city mayor drives to a from home. I wonder how these NOTAMS would work if Golf was attached to them? It would be horrible if a stray golf ball flew wild out over a highway, hitting a bus mirror, ricocheting into the little open window and knocking the driver out.

RE: What happens if arf and kit building prices meet?
Depends of the quality of the build and the class level of the hardware used. Here is a nose gear for $5.60 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXD842&P=7 ...and then here is one for $68.00 http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXES72&P=ML They both do the job very well. So it's just a matter of "class" more than function.

All of you old farts are living in the past. "Shows great grandchild an ancient "DVD" of building a RC Cub back in 2010." "LOL Great grandpaw, you guys sure looked scanny back then, using your hands to build stuff like a baby". The future will be to print out a perfect Top Gun scale class airplanes complete with running radial piston or jet engine from your 3D printer for $100 bucks worth of plastic and metal dust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFFFiB_if18

Subversive RC clubs
I've been reading a conspiracy book on communist destroying the US by subverting non-profit 501c groups. I thought, "Hey if this crap is working for the commies, why not us?" So I propose we start up some 501c groups of our own. Here are some I'd like to start. FTP Official name "Feed the Poor" mission to organize communities to help feed the poor. Insider name "Fly the Plane" organizing poor slobs to come in and clean up our airfields for us, so we'll have more flight time. We'll tell them it's for the needy and donate $50 to the food bank. UFFIE Official name "Urban Federation of Folks Improving the Environment" To organize communities to forcefully take over vacant urban land to make parks and "greenways" Insider name "Urban Flying Field Installation and Enjoyment", oh and we call the "greenways", "Run Ways". COCC Official name Collage Occupying Citizens Community. A group a concerned collage kids who are willing to occupy lawns of those the group leaders deems "subversive to the cause" until such time as the group leaders think the target has seen the light. Insider name, "Crazy Old Complaining Coot", We bus in loads of occupy losers to occupy the lawns of people that make complaints about RC airplane field noise. Then the local RC Club heroes rush in a shoo the unwashed dirtbags away. "Heck, who could complain about a little buzzing when you have such nice people over there flying the toy airplanes". BBAG "Brotherhood of Backpackers Adoring Gia" A group a of occupiers that take over unused land "recently vacated RC airplane fields" and set up tent communities on the unused land. Insider name, "Bring Back the Airplane Guys", After putting up with a summer of smelly human waste the old Airplane club that had lost it's flying field agrees to step in and run off the hippies and clean up the mess on the condition that they will have non-infringed flying rights to the land for the next 40 years. I don't know if this will lead to Utopia for everyone but it will lead to some Nirvana for us. Can you guys think of some more 501c's?

Great choice for a project! I really like the looks of the Mark II also. I got a set of plans for it off of ebay and am planning to build one myself. I to have a K&B .45 Sportster engine in mine.
