RE: Spektrum tm1000 and marine receiver mr3000
The TM1000 only works with the aircraft radios using aircraft or marine modes. It does not work with the pistol-grip radios. You need to make sure the DX4s works with the SR3300T. I'm not positive it does. Andy

It should be very consistent. If not, this is probably an issue with that rx in the confines of that airframe. Do you have another model you can range test? The Kyosho T-33 I know of deserves at least an AR600 in it, with the antennas far apart from one another. Andy
ORIGINAL: JoeEagle Andy i had the telemetry record set to the ''I'' switch on my DX18-which is also the timer. we were looking at the telemetry while on the ground (timer still on) and we were seeing it on the screen but it was not recorded.
Recording will only happen as long as I is depressed. Use a toggle instead.
does anyone know why the Spektrum doesnt use a current date when saving a file? when i save a model or this telemetry file, it is always the same date in 2010. what's up with that?? seems weird and certainly not very helpful for Configuration Management
The radio does not include a real-time clock, so it has no concept of date and time. When you have GPS installed, it will show time-of-day but does not use that for the file timestamp. The timestamp that is used tells radio type and AirWare code version, which can help us with bug fixes. Andy

RE: Let's talk DX18 here!
ORIGINAL: Pete S-RCU Is there a way to set the alarm to shut off if I go back above the low speed alarm, without pushing the clear button?
The alarm needs to be either acknowledged (by pressing CLEAR) or removing the condition (by going back into the "green zone"). If you set a low-speed alarm, press clear when you're going to stay slow. It will not sound again until the condition clears, that is, by going above the low-speed alarm. So if you are below, like when starting out in the pits, you press the CLEAR button so you don't drive yourself and everybody around you nuts. When you take off, hopefully you'll fly above that low point. That will clear the condition. If you slow back down again, the alarm will sound, but if you speed back up it will stop sounding when you go fast enough again. The high-speed alarm works the same way. If you go too fast, just slow down and it will stop bothering you.
Also, can I set ti to start the alert say 10mph above the stall speed and increase to the actual stall speed? I would build in a fudge factor of course. If I go back above the 10mph speed it should go off. Is this possible?
I think you're asking for what I just described above, how it actually works. If that's not what you mean, try asking again differently to help me understand the question please. It's Friday night, my brain is fried! Andy

I'm not in on the RF side of things. I know they did a bunch of testing to improve performance recently, and that's why they asked me to make the few small changes that are in the application. We are constantly working to improve things in all areas, this is just an example. I'd say if he's having any problems, this might very well resolve them. Andy
ORIGINAL: czorzella <span style=''background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);''>The Spektrum telemetry measures airspeed from approximately 15 MPH to 350 MPH. In order to receive stall warnings, you must either configure minimum speed threshold on your radio and / or the STI application on your iphone.
And that's very simple to do. Go to the Telemetry menu, add Speed as a sensor. When you click, it will pop you into the config screen and you can set the type of alarms and the setpoints for them. Andy

RE: Spektrum Telemetry module and iPhone App.
The AR7000 and DX8 will work fine together. In the DX8, how the flap channel works is dependent on the wing type you select. If you leave Wing Type = Normal, then the flap switch controls AUX1. If you pick any other wing type, then you need to use the Flap System to configure how you want the flaps to behave. Andy

RE: Let's talk DX18 here!
The F & H alarms are for QoS on the forward (tx to rx) transmissions. We piggy-back telemetry range warnings on the same return (TM to tx) message format, though. When the TM1000 is having a hard time hearing the tx, it sends a telemetry range alarm by sending the QoS status report with very high values so that alarms are tripped in the tx. I've explained it several times on RCG, Carlos. You might find a better explanation there. Andy

RE: Let's talk DX18 here!
Those are the 4 settings Dave. The radios do not provide access for customers to have different frequencies available, although we did make changes like that for the DX18QQ. There is not a separate alarm about the telemetry system itself, outside of the telemetry module range warnings, and due to the nature of how they are generated, that's they way it will be. However, since the forward RF link is so reliable, you can use the forward link warnings to provide a useful telemetry range warning for yourself by simply alarming on excessive frames and holds. RE: Spektrum Telemetry Playback
ORIGINAL: JoeEagle Roger that. i see some data but i dont understand why the spektrum TX didnt record more info.
Three reasons come to mind: 1) The switch to turn on logging was not set "correctly" for your flight. If you are using the throttle, make sure you don't throttle below that position while you're flying. Using the gear as a switch makes sense - you have logging all the while the gear is up, but once you drop them it stops. You'll be landing soon anyway. 2) The telemetry antenna is not positioned well to "see" the transmitter 3) You were flying farther away than the telemetry would work well. (Telemetry range is significantly less than control range).
how big of a SD do you normally use for a flight? i am running the GPS, G-force and JetCat modules. i had the original 1GB SD that came with the DX18-QQ
I have a 4 gig card, but I usually only have about 1 meg in a telemetry file, and that's a really long flight.
Each parameter must be selected in the Telemetry menu to be processed into the data stream going into the card.
No. The logging system records every record as it comes off the air verbatim. You could have sensors turned off for display, or "home brew" sensors (a few are out there), and record their data just fine. RCGroups allows posting of TLM and SPM files, but RCU isn't there yet. The ESCs shut down if the input signal goes above 100% which is what was happening with the DX6i with the mixing as it was. I tried the end point adjustment but the mixing basically ignores this so......
The DX6i doesn't have an endpoint adjustment. It has Travel Volume, which is basically a scaling factor for the incoming data (processed stick inputs). So yes, it's possible have a mix that results in a value > 100%. If you're looking to put an absolute limit on the travel range, the DX10t, DX18, and DX18QQ include that feature as "Absolute Travel." Andy
