RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck
ORIGINAL: offthestreet I am new here and new to RC in general so I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge.  I recently purchase a Traxxas Slash 2wd and took it to my local dirt track to have a little fun on some jumps. I noticed after i ran it a couple times that it now pulls to the left pretty quickly.  I am able to overcome most of that by adjusting the steering trim, but I 'm not aure thats the proper way to correct it.  What should I look for that could be causing this issue?  Any help is greatly appriciated!
Just check that the steering posts haven't slightly popped out on the underside of the car. If so, just slip them back in and it should be good to go!

RE: Tamiya M-05 Mini and M-04L Beetle
ORIGINAL: dazzler441 Here is my M05 Mini, she is a racer firstly and then I can swap her back to shelf queen with a different bodyshell. It's fitted with 3 racing shocks/gears/bearings/bumper/steering/,alloy wheel hexes, servo, HPI Saturn20 motor, brand new tamiya wheels and tyres. I've got a Mtronics Viper 20 ESC and Spektrum DX3 radio set to fit to it, and also the original Tamiya silver wheels and green bodyshell. Picked this up on eBay. Initial pictures of her in race mode and I will put the shelf queen pictures up later.
Looking good!

I think I replaced the gears initially but it eventually started making that grinding noise again. So I ended up playing around with the suspension and turning it into a crawler...

Yeah I had the same problem with mine. Never really figured out waht it was. I took it apart and check the gears many times but nothing really ever seemed worn out.

RE: 1/8 scale on-road conversion to elctric
I converted my HPI RS4 3Evo to electric a while ago. Here's the thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9169105/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm Don't know if it'll help but really, the best way to go about it is trial and error. Think about what neds to be done and the best way of doing it. Mine could be improved a lot but it works fine, so I've left it as it is.

RE: i want to see some pics for rc drag cars post them here
I'd estimate it gets around 70km/h. Not using the clutchbell anymore as there is no need for it as it's only a single speed plus it would've been to difficult to try to mount to the motor. Yeah, still using the disc brake. I've got a build thread for the car if you're interested: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9169105/anchors_9169105/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#9169105

RE: need a quick 4-11 on elec rc
You need to be more specific. Are you running brushed or brushless? Nimh or LiPo? A little research on here or even google will answer all your questions.

RE: i want to see some pics for rc drag cars post them here
Here you go..2nd and 3rd pics are of some upgraded drive shafts and dog bones that I made as the stock ones snapped really easily (went through like 30 of them). 4th pic is of the air intake for the motor. 5th is a reminder of the abuse she has put up with over the years haha. Also took it out for a drive today and got a short video for you:

HPI RS4 3Evo Electric
Hey guys, wanting to get into some amateur drag racing and I've decided to use my HPI RS4 3Evo that I converted to electric. Using a 3500kv motor and running on 3 cell LiPo. Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself and give you a look at what I'm doing....enjoy the video! RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck
ORIGINAL: phmaximus hummmmm. Just wondering when the spur gear striped was it dirty or did it still look new & clean??? & How did u set the gear mesh?? & do u replace the spur & pinion together?
it was all still clean. I tried every mesh distance, just like the other guy was saying. There was nothing wrong with the pinions although I did change them a few times as I thought that may have been the problem. Anyway, I don't have any problems anymore!
