RE: AEROVATE, AERO, & RCGF
You get what you pay for...BME .90 Super Tigre conversion, $399.95 You get a custom built BME crankshaft, connecting rod and piston (needle bearings for gasoline/oil mix). A custom modified crankcase and housing from BME was also in order for optimum gasoline operation.Because we use a Zama pump carburetor, you can now mount your fuel tank anywhere... the carb will pump fuel just like all other gas engines, much better transition and no dead sticks. Experience the ease of electronic ignition... easy to hand start with no glow plugs or glow drivers, and, no field box full of support equipment. Get no weight penalty since the engine weighs about the same and the ignitionwith battery weight is offset by the reduced fuel tank capacity required. The G90 is supplied with a stock muffler but you can use any aftermarket muffler that works on the SuperTigre 90 glow engine. recommended props 13 x 6, 14 x6 Yes, no more rusty bearings as with glow engines (gas and oil are natural lubricants and do not absorb moisture from the air as glow fuel does.) That's right... more power and a larger carb, electronic ignition and special BME modifications all add up to an engine that has no power loss and is like a .60 size plane on steroids!

RE: Quadra 35 crankshaft
sorry,. NO Q35 /42/US41 EVER had a double ended crank.. The rod slips over 11 littel rollers that fall out when you take thr rod off... The cranks are forged and don't like to be straightened...Get a new one from Dick at B&B...and good luck slipping the rod ove the 11 little rollers held on the crank with some thick grease.....

RE: NEW DLE30!
Ok, since I have by my reckoning somewhere between 6000 and 8000 posts on this forum under rcgin, herby1, rcign1, doolico, and maybe a few more I forgot...How in H@#$ can someone say I'm secretive ????? I quit this forum when Sinergy/Jake Ruddy kept having a cow every time I put some FACTS about Zenoah engines in someone else's thread..OK, that's fair...Capt.n John said he was tired of my BS..OK, so his take on what happened to his DLE30 in shipping wasn't exactly true...I banned him from my website... I bought 20 DLE30s from a Chinese vendor for MY customers who were registered on MY website...I DID NOT advertise engines for sale to the general public anywhere....MOST of the customers were quite pleased with the deal, but human nature being what it is there were some complaints...Two weeks ago my wife had heart problems and that took up most of the last 12 or 13 days... Since I don't want to have any problems with customers, I gave them the option of sending the engines back for FULL refund, my shipping cost included...No one took me up on that, so I must ASSume they are not too concerned about the tilting problem, they just run the idle up a little...The problem is NOT the carb, it's NOT going to go away with more time.. I took one of the returned for service engines apart today and rounded off the square edges of the rear casting where the reeds reside...Also took a 1/8 ball end mill and made a small passageway on the surface of the casting in the corner of the reed surface to let any accumulated fuel drain into the open part of the case...I can tilt my test stand 45 degrees in any direction, the engine still runs...I could tilt it farther but then the tools I have on the flat surface would fall off...This may not be the total fix, but the engine would quit when tilted BEFORE it was rounded and now will not...It turns a Vess 18-8 at 8500 rpm with one of Milton Thompson's mufflers, about 200 less with the stocker.. Color me SECRETIVE[:@]

RE: NEW SYSSA 30CC GASSER MADE IN THE USA
This forum is full of self styled experts who have not been reading posts for the past 4 or so years... A G26 with RC EXL ignition inside the rear case and using a new Milton Thompson muffler weighs 38 oz...a HUGE difference from the expert opinion of 53.1 without a muffler listed in a previous post...

RE: NEW DLE30!
A little carb theory... The diaphragm is activated by ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. Any deviation results in carb not working properly...Plugging the hole, whether with a closed film container or anyting else, defeats the diaphragm function...If it worked with the hole plugged there would be no hole in the first place....

RE: Holey Cow! Tower is now carrying DLEs!
Tower price for the DLE 30s STILL adds over $100 to their cost of the engine...All anyone has to do is Email one of the China wholesalers to find the price, it's a NO BRAINER....20 DLE30s from Cyclone in Hong Kong is about $4400...Been there, didn't do that... I am NOT antique, I am RC Ignition, Ralph C this forum is getting out of hand..Sorry...Do a little looking around, you'll

RE: New fast airframe in the works
A GT80 running glow fuel with NO pipes, just stacks, turns almost 12,000 rpm with a 19-18 carbon prop...The F1 GR7 race planes clock over 200 mph in a dive and over 190 straight and level on the course,,, Planes are 100 wingspan, 25 lbs..Wish we could run tuned pipes, the things would be ballistic... A 45 lb Bearcat with a 289 twin, no pipes, 21x27 prop at 9400, runs about 240... Only requirement is cubic money...[8D] usrainfo.org

RE: NEW DLE30!
A CM6 with a RC EXL ignition will run perfectly well with a 1mm (.40) gap..There is no reason to gap a plug so close...Don't believe it ? You can cut the side electrode clean off a CM6 and the RC EXL ignition will run the engine just fine...Might start hard when cold, but no difference at all when the engine is hot...

RE: Walbro carb kit ?
Not exactly...There were 2 carbs used on the G38.. Older G38 with no choke takes a WTA6A, later is WT338 with choke..D10WTA... Carbs are mirror image, the WTA takes a different kit, the WAT kit won't work...

RE: Aerovate Engines
Maybe you can enlighten us...Which 2 stroke gasser does NOT have a chrome bore, and therefore "breaks in" faster [8|] Nikasil doesn't count, it's harder than chrome... MVVS/Evolution and a few others have liners, no chrome...Maybe some Moki also... Engines with chrome bores have relatively soft rings and smooth bores, engines with iron liners have harder rings and maybe some cross hatch in the bore....That is worn smooth by the rings...Chrome bores are already smooth and don't wear the rings as fast...Cross hatched chrome bores would wear the rings in short order....Since chrome is harder than steel....DUHHHH...

RE: What caused this?
My bet is on flawed crank machining or bad metalurgy. Does not appear to be any piston skirt scuffing, looks oily inside. Is that bearing frozen?
