RE: Futaba Still legal??
I charged it up to see if it still powered up. It does but, I know the batts need to be replaced. I used this system with my larger gas powered planes. I'm wanting to go to smaller electric planes now. Maybe a new system would be a good idea. Looks like the receivers have gotten alot smaller too. Mark

Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Nitro Help
Hello all, I am new to this site. I am in need of some help with my Kyosho Outlaw Rampage. I recently purchase two of these trucks. One was complete and the other missing the engine. I took both completely apart and used all the best parts to build one truck. I completey took apart the origional O.S Max CV engine and cleaned everything. After putting it all back together and in the truck it started on the second pull. It ran a little fast. I figured since i was in my basement i would kill it and wait for a chance to get outside to tune it. Yesterday i tried it again in the basement and it fired on the second pull. Today I get it outside and it wont fire at all. Fuel was pouring out from around the HSN and it appeared to be coming out between the exhaust pipe and the crank case. Not sure what is going on. First question, any ideas what may have happened? Second question, anyone know the factory Carb Settings for this O.S 12 Max CV engine? I found them once before online and now I can not find them again. Third question, aside from ebay, does any one have any parts for these? Any answers would be appreciated.

RE: Brisson 5.8 with glow plug
Reading comprehension 101 Show me where I expressed any interest in your engine...And FWIW, there are NO Sachs model airplane engines, just engines made using Sachs and Dolmar chainsaw parts..Sachs engineers way back when makde did make a few small 35 or 45 engines, to be sold by chainsaw dealers..Never got off the ground, apparently too small and pricey at the time...

OH OH< busted..I'm secretely amassing a stash of 5.8 Sachs cranks to sell on E Bay..Actually, antique is a really nice guy who lets me use his sign in formation. The so called CROOK is me, Ralph Cunningham..I have NO use for the crank you said I stole, and if you had just asked for a refund of your money I would have sent it...Too late now...[8|]

RE: 100 OCTANE aviation fuel in gasser
How come no one talks about the lead helping to lubricate the valves is a 4 stroke ?? We ran leaded fuel in EVERYTHING starting in about 1909 with the first Model T...I have a 1912, leaded fuel would be no problem...Even runs on kerosene..Smokes a lot with that [;)] Compression ratio is 4:1....

RE: Help with Kalt KG-22 please
A good one will turn a Mejzlik 18-6 about 7000 if the muffler is not too restricted...The points gap is critical, it controls the timing..

RE: Brisson 5.8 with glow plug
OK, my bad...You will find the carb has been modified to pass twice as much fuel..It should work, just not take as many turns on the needles as a carb made for gas...The plane was likely made to race at Madera in the early 90s...Or not..[;)] FWIW, Brison was not in extistence in the early 90s....If you can see the con rod a copper color means a Sachs crank, a steel color means it has the A&M crank, maybe the reason for the rubber mounts,...Worst vibrator ever made for an airplane, one reason for the demise of A&M....

It was converted to run on glow to make more power....The carb on the left is a Herbrandson 280 twin carb, Walbro parts but no fuel pump..It needs crankcase pressure to function...It's on the stock location...How in the world is the Tillotson connected, the exhaust port is over there...

20 to 1 was for the Q75 when it was a chainsaw...Good oil is not always easy to find in the woods...Nothing wrong with 20 to 1 anyway, best for power....Synthetic was not generally availble when Q75s were invented...Steen C might have been...It was one of the first synthetics...
