RE: Aquacraft Atlantic Tug up-grade
here are a few pictures of my atlantic tug. I have done allot of work to her. I still have to plumb the fire monitors and add the smoke system but for the most part i think she looks good as she sits .I never really liked the way she looked out of the box plus i wanted something closer to a navy harbor tug .

RE: Aquacraft Atlantic Tug up-grade
You can actually do alot with the atlantic tug to make it look real i did a total rebuild of mine last year and ive had alot of people tell me that it cant be the same tug . all the lights work and the fire monitors are all plumbed to work and i have a smoke unit now to place under the stack i changed out the esc so now my reverse works perfect .

RE: - TIGER 1 / STURMTIGER ONLY PICTURE THREAD !
here are some of my tigers both 1/24 scale as well as 1/16 scale. The white wash winter tiger was the first one i got a few years ago. It was my first attempt at detailing. Tiger 332 is the most detailed with upgraded gun, headlights and light up machine guns all the tanks have been detailed even my smaller tanks .One of my favorite pictures is the standoff with big brother.

RE: My new Vs KV-2 tank
yes its the 2009 version and it has 3 foward and 2 reverse i also have the leopard 2 a6 modified with HL electronics nice tank 2 tigers,2to t-72 as well as the abrams. One of the tigers as well as the abrams are whats called the sparkling series which just means that instead of airsoft pellets or IR beam the main gun flashes. All the tanks (except the leo ) sound the same even the abrams sounds like the t-72 ,tigers and KV-2.

My new Vs KV-2 tank
well my wife bought me the Vs KV-2 tank for well i dont really know why but she did .anyway my first impressions of the tank are that it is nicely detailed it also has the volume control which i think is a nice feature all it needs is some mucking up in the right places and from a visual stand point it will be perfect as for its running and IR functions ill give a more detailed review after i run it for a little bit.As it stands now its a nice looking addition to the Vs line.Ill also take some pictures and maybe some video .

1/24 scale figures from harbor models work and with a little bit of work you can turn it into something nice like some of us have done.here are a few of mine. i still have a little odds and ends left to do which will be done during the spring . Other then my 6 vs tanks 1 mini tiger 5 hl tanks.I have a hpi rs4 evo, tamiya lunchbox, original tmaxx, falcon rc heli, hpi 4.1 savage, xmods barricade, hobic sub, seawolf walmart sub,hpi mt2 g3.0 and my baby an atlantic harbor tug from aquacraft that was totally broken down then rebuilt to depict a 40's era U.S. Navy YTB tug heres a few pics of before and after.Alot of the tug was scratch built basically everything above the main hull deck was redesigned.all the lights work and the fire monitors are also plumbed but wont be tested until spring. there is also some other minor stuff i have left to do.I have a build log on photobucket if anyone wants to look . here is a few pictures of mine. its a converted aquacraft atlantic harbor tug alot of the tug was scratch built to turn it from a ok tugboat into the Allison (named after my daughter)Navy YTB 214.She has working lights and her fire monitors are plumed and will be functional after i get up the nerve to put a hole in her hull.[:D]the first pic is what the tug looked like out of the box the rest are after i rebuilt her. RE: VsTank Owners
ORIGINAL: j z Whats even harder to swallow than the pathetic sound is toyeast's shipping charges. $119 for the tank and last time I checked shipping was $49. Thats almost half the cost of the tank. Why all of a sudden? Don't get me wrong, I like VS. When the weather is miserable and I can't run my 1/16 tanks outside, I have a blast with my sons having indoor battles, but at almost $170 shipped, their collectability is loosing it's appeal. Regards,JZ
its only 131.51 shipped to me.I joined the vs club and ordered the welcome package that comes with a free shipping coupon, but i dont know if i can use it at toyeast or just the vs main site. If i can the tank will be less.

RE: good internet modem
My wife works for Comcast and she said that the netgears you get from the cable company are worthless. They say they can support up to 5 computers, but the more you have hooked up to them the worse your connections are. That is why we have bought our own Linksys. Since then, we have not had any issues. They vary in price starting in the $50 range. But it ends up paying for itself because if you have your own, you can save yourself the $2 or more per month the cable company charges you for renting theirs. If you choose to get your own you will still need to have a regular cable modem, since the Linksys routers need to connect to a cable modem for you to get wireless internet.
