92" hybrid
Im close to finishing this beast! I am in need of some really good clip art / font for the OMP hybrid logos. Example the OMP logo on the top of the main page and the edge 540 hybrid logo on the bottom wing of the white and red plane. Aside from a few missing parts (laser cut 1/8 leading and trailing edge parts) This has been one of the best kits I have built. For the price and size it make for a cheap Leap into gaint scale aircraft. Chris Lafleur[:D]

RE: Thunder Cat 31
The connector hes talking about is the thing that connects the header to the pipe. He's right the stock piece is junk. Now for the fun part. James at Twisted Liquid racing Hooked me up with 225 sharpend polished balanced prop. WoW this boat ran like a scalded monkey. Also Cut down the rudder and waxed the bottom of the haul. All our jaws dropped when this boat hit the water. The last run of the day she got air born and took a digger of 3 ft under [:D]. Drying her out and getting ready for tommorw. Chris

RE: Big Problem (ram 500)
well now i have it running. i may take you up on that after i get back from a target mission in el paso. I have another question. Full throttle is running 122k. Does this sound right? I thought is was going to run at 150K. If it can, how could i bump up the RPMs? Chris

RE: Big Problem (ram 500)
Well I guess i have to admit i was the dumb a**. I had the wrong pump. Put the correct pump in and problem solved. I feel such like an idot. Man dont you just love this hobby [:D] Bob B01L is the ECU vers. it was nice meeting you at Afterburners. I just wish i could have seen that L1011 fly. Was recovering sunday morning from a trip to the casino sat night, so i missed it. Thanks Chris

RE: Big Problem (ram 500)
i have 2 pumps. One has a circut board on the back and the other does not. I also checked the edt and i dont think it shows pump pulse width when running. If there is a way to show it i will check it out. I really should call RTI but i feel their time is money and im waisting their time. Im leaning towards the pump as the issue but the other question is , I thought the RPM sensor would shut the turbine down is over the set limit. I know it works below the limit. Run-RMP- Low was my last shutdown. :^) Chris

RE: Big Problem (ram 500)
well see thats why im asking. I want to see if anyone has run into the problem first. Trust me i wont burn up my turbine. In fact i wont run it untill i find an answer. Also i guess i should not have asked the 2 questions together. Because i look at it and it would seem that im trying to run my ram 500 on a ram 750 pump. which is not the case. thanks Chris

Big Problem (ram 500)
I have a RAM 500. The problem i have is that i am hitting 150k rpm at 1/8 throttle. I have learned and relearned the ECU. It will also go beyond 150k rpm if i move the stick more than 1/8th. I thought the RPM sensor would stop the turbine if you go beyond 150k ( 150k is my high rpm limit). Also what is the diff between a ram 500 pump and a 750 pump if any? Chris

RE: AMD Hawk.
Hey SJN Show us pics of how you installed the rudder servo. I like the mods you used on the rear servo and will do the same to mine. I have notice a diff from some wing pics and my KMP hawk wing. The flap servo's are in pockets under the wing like the alieron servo's. Also I am going to fiber glass my wing onto the fuse. Chris

RE: AMD Hawk.
I bought mine on RCU from a guy selling stuff for his brother in IRAQ. I had bought this plane before i knew about the History of the Hawk problem. The only reason was the price the looks and the fact that is was an ARF. Kind of a fast way back into turbines. Chris

RE: AMD Hawk.
I have one of the AMD/KMP Hawks also. I like it. It is what it is and worth the $450 i paid for it. I am repainting it , so i glassed the wing and added 4" carbon fiber strip around the center of the wing. The power plant I am installing is a RAM 500, which i received today. I cant wait to finish it [:D] Chris

RE: Whats wrong Ultra-Stick? Vulture got your nose?
To the 2 old farts that went off on the bird strike. Chill Get a life and go back to flying your trainers in big circles. I have flown at this field and its located at a land fill. 1 bird out of the 100s of birds that fly out there is really no big deal. Would not even cause the local tree huggers to look twice about what happened. So telling this guy that his AMA should be taken from him and he would be the reason his field will be shut down is plain out right crazy. Maybe then next time you 2 would want to post something tree huggerish, Post it on a SPCA forum. Friggen Hippies. Chris
