RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10
Hey Chris, I mostly use TurboCad Pro for Cad work, Xara X pro for vector files and art work. Mach2 and Mach3 for milling. Although, I need to set up the machine again as I fried the last PC that was running it. I also have a vinyl cutter I need to get set back up. I'll probably cut the paint masks for the jepe A-10 from vinyl. I may spring for dry transfers, but we'll see. Cheers...

Go with the Mini 3DX. Echelon plans are still beta and I haven't had time to sort a few things out on it. The mini 3DX rocks and is still one of my all time favorites... Tim H.

RE: Airfoil for Funtana
PropWrench - What airfoil is used for the Funtana Pro in the PDF? Also, do you have the full plans? I'd like to do a big electric Funtana. Tim [quote]ORIGINAL: PropWrench Ficus, Here is a PDF of a wing layout for a scaled Funtana Pro. I also a 2 Meter Exclusiv Modellbau and I reverse engineered it for a .50 size engine. This file has the exact profile used on the 2M bird. Hope this helps

RE: hacker on yak and bipe
prophanger1 - I would go with an APC 11x4.7 to start with. That combo should give about 22oz. thrust at 11 amps. Leave the skin on! It adds tremendously to the stuructural strength of the foam. Tim

3/16" every 2 inches won't hurt anything. Every printer driver treats the pdf a little differently so variations do occur. However, make sure that the "fit to page" and "auto rotate" boxes are NOT checked in the Acrobat print dialouge box when you print the plans. Most errors occur if those are checked. Tim

RE: Front Yard 3D+Video
The Mpjets are not the most efficient brushless. I would say they do OK and that's about it... The Razor 400 in a GWS 5.3:1 (CS gearing) does just as well as the 350 in a D gearbox. The 400's are a bit easier to find too... aero_eng - You just cut the trottle before you touch down and make sure you touch down nose high. I have yet to break a prop on a planned arrival... Tim
