RE: Painting my JP-1 pipe
Yeah, it is an enamel based paint and has specific re-coat windows and all that shenanigans. But it doesn't take too much time to dry off like you said. I was thinking of going with a gloss white pipe, should look SICK. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html That is the paint that should do the job. Any feedback?

Painting my JP-1 pipe
I just recently bought a used JP1 pipe, and it looks plain and scratched up. I know there are high heat automobile paints being sold in auto stores, and was wondering if it would work. Has anyone done this yet? I was thinking of painting it to the color as close as possible to the hardcoated color.

RE: General questions!
Yeah I was about to buy a pipe off of a Hyper 7, brand new for about $24 but just had to buy an upgrade exhaust (JP1). Hopefully my header gasket that connects the header to the engine will work, cuz it seems a little loose.

RE: General questions!
Alright, so the RX wire should be an easy fix. I will mess around with the brakes once I buy new pads for it. And I am looking around for stock pipes that are off of .21s, .28s, and all those other engine sizes. A pipe that was installed on a .21 or a .28 should work on a .26, right?

RE: General questions!
1. What's so special about an RX wire? Like what differentiates them with a regular wire? 4. I have read from some websites that you could use a spring from a ballpoint pen to keep a slight tension between the pads to separate them from each other while in idle. How effective is that method? thanks for the help btw!

General questions!
Watup guys. I still have my old turmoil buggy that has been sitting in the closet for about 2 years. about 6 months ago, i fired up the engine and actually holds a steady idle. Didn't get to run it normally though, cuz I didn't have a radio on me. I haven't used it since then, but I have put after run oil in the cylinder before letting it sit out. I want to get this car running again since my neighbor has a little POS electric that zips fast around my block. Planning on running it over and mauling it. hahhaha jk. Well I have some general questions, ranging from powertrain questions to electrical. Hopefully you guys can help me. 1. I have an old Hitec FM radio and receiver that is still in good condition. The receiver has a cut antenna though. Would it be possible to unsolder the old wire and solder on a new, longer one with the same wire gauge? 2. Though the engine held a good steady idle, I am not sure if it still has the grunt that will get it moving fast. Inside of the block there are no visible rust, and still has plenty of compression when turned over by hand. Will this engine still be reliable or do I have to get a rebuild kit? 3. My old pipe has been beaten and trashed. The stinger is missing, and the header is completely bent. I am looking for a cheap replacement, maybe OEM but has to be really cheap. When I say cheap, I mean $20 or less, preferrably one that I can purchase on eBay :) 4. My brake pads are completely worn down. For people that are more familiar with the Sportwerks brake platform, do you guys have suggestions on how to set it up? I remember that the brake pads would rub against the disk when the buggy is running, even if I am not using the brakes at the moment. These are very vague and simple questions, but any suggestions would help. Thanks guys!

RE: FLawnting My New SPORTWERK MAYHEM Buggy!!!!!!
I didn't say it's not possible, it's just not practical. Buggies were not meant to do spead runs up and down the street. You gotta d something about that temper there, buddy...

RE: FLawnting My New SPORTWERK MAYHEM Buggy!!!!!!
Dude, cut the attitude. you are getting nowhere fast. If you want to do speed runs up and down the street, then why not just get an on-road car? Buggies were meant for off-road action, not on-road speed runs. Stock gearing for CB for a mayhem/turmoil is 13t. You may have seen an 18t CB on a nitro, but it sure doesn't belong in a buggy. 15t TOPS is what you should aim for.

RE: Who thinks post count shouldn't go up here?
ok first of all, it DOES matter. Any noob can come in here and post numerous posts about which truck they want, and it ends letting them have more post counts... its all about CREDIBILITY. I would rather take word from a guy who has a 3 digit post count than someone who has 12 posts. But MANY of us here end up posting at least 5 posts A DAY in the OT forums. Then they go back to the Traxxas forum and tell people what to do and how to do it, just because they have the credibility. If you guys think about it without just blabbering in this forum, You would really know. And btw, I know enough about what I am doing to leave this forum for good. If i knew jack squat then I would ask alot, but obviously, I give out more help to people than you think. Honestly, this forum is turning to a laughing-stock.

Who thinks post count shouldn't go up here?
I think it's getting too wild and pointless here. People just want to boost there post count so they can look smart in other parts of the forums. There are other forums out there that don't count OT posts as post count. Should we count these posts?

RE: Bunny Huggers?
i tried hugging a bunny, almost got rabies. thanks alot mugen lol. who shoots animals with a pellet gun? if i saw someone shoot an animal with one, i would take my ak47 airsoft and go up next to your face and shoot you in the eye. these are not toys, they can seriously hurt or kill. Go find another hobby, leave animals alone. But hunting is a different story, its merely a game using real guns. And if i saw soeone trying to kill a cat, id run him over.
