RE: New: Beech Baron and Duchess arf
What happened to this thread and aircraft?!! A while ago a lot of people were very excited about the arrival of this aircraft; to the extent that even some poems and songs were made and then everything suddenly died down. It has been quite a while since its release and we still have not seen a single flight report or review. The manufacturer is also very quiet; I hope he has not lost interest and that we will still see a King Air eventually !!

RE: New: Beech Baron and Duchess arf
Scale Flying- Cliff; please make it a B200. I am sure there are many guys out there like me that have flown the 200 for a living that would like to have a model of that specific airplane. For every 100 King Airs flying around only one or two will probably be a 350; so the 200 is much more of a classic that a lot of people can relate to. Personally I think the 200 is a nicer looking plane with the slighly shorter fuselage. I am definitely in the market for a 200, if it is going to be a 350 I will probably still buy it just because it is a King Air but it will take the wind out of my sails a bit. Enclosed a photo of the one I used to fly just to wet appetites. personally I think the King Air is a all time classic and the best flying airplane I have ever flown.

JR does not respond?
Went to fly this weekend with my 9303 2.4 radio with Spektrum receiver. Has worked perfectly for many flights. Checked controls and all was well. Fueled plane, and then turned everything on. Radio would not respond. Lights on solid on receiver and remote receiver, but no response. I tried to rebind even though this should never be required. Still inop. I did not have another plane with me, so could not try that. After a few minutes turned on, and all worked fine. Did a range check, and ok. So I flew. Worked great. Landed, refueled, and no response same as before. I put the plane in the truck, turned it on, and all worked fine. Came home, and cycled on and off probably 10 times and normal response. Any ideas? Could we have had 2.4G interference at the field? Couple of guys were flying Futaba 2.4 and they were fine. Don't know whether to ship the receiver, transmitter, or both for check out. Also tried the transmitter with another plane when I got home, and it worked great. Help! Never seen this before. Bob

RE: Yellow Aircraft Zero Pilot?
You just cant beat this; BBI Japanese pilot. Out of production and a bit of a collectors item. I managed to track mine down on Ebay. Even the sword is finely detailed and made of diecast metal. The YA Zero works out to be about 5.5 scale so this pilot is a little too small but it is very close. The attention to detail is incredible. Mine is going to go into a extensively reworked ESM Frank which works out at 6.0 to 6.2 scale.

RE: KMP P-51B
Evil Merlin, the fact that you are interested in getting one of these does say a lot for the model. I like it as well but decided to go with the Ki84 Frank. So far I find it difficult to fault that ones scale outline; sorry for going a bit of topic but what do you think of the Frank ? It sure is a very interesting aircraft.

It is not normal. you should be able to move the throttle as fast as you can, and the engine should compensate. I bet Eric will come in and have some advice. Bob

RE: Super Bee noisy.
Eric, thanks for the return message. It did the same thing before I took it out of the Boomer, just once in a while. I ran it today, and all normal. I did the starter test yesterday when it was binding, and yes, it still made the dragging sound and seemed to slow down a lot quicker. As I said, only happens once in a while, and ran great today. This is my second Bee, and the other one has never made any unusual noise. I think I should just fly it and let you know if it gets worse. It is not bearing sound at all. What do you think. Bob

Super Bee noisy.
Eric, my Super Bee with about 8 hours on it is being installed back into my old Baby Boomer. I started it today, and on cool down it made a "dragging" sound when coasting, and seemed to slow down faster than usual. It did this a couple of times in the past, but after it cools off it is fine. Wonder if this is a biggie, or should I just fly it and watch it. Runs fine. It is one of the lifetime warranty engines. Had not been run in about 8 months, but as I said, it has done this before. Usually after idling a while and then shut down. Thanks, Bob in NM.

RE: New: Beech Baron and Duchess arf
Scale Flying, your efforts to make the plane as scale as possible is to be commended!! I think very few manufacturers make the effort to get everything right from the start and subsequently carry the mistakes right through the production life of the model. There might be two more areas apart from the windscreen that may require your attention namely the post behind the front opening door and the first big side window looks too thin and the nosewheel needs to be set back a little bit. I am not sitting with scale drawings in front of me and apologise if I am incorrect. We cant wait to see the final product!!

RE: New: Beech Baron and Duchess arf
Hello Scale Flying! I am glad to see the Baron project coming along so nicely. However there is one issue thats got me slightly bothered namely the shape of the nose section. I think this and also the shape of the windscreen is probably the most difficult part to model on this aircraft; angles everywhere! The nose section projects out straight for a few inches before it starts tapering. Hopefully you can incorporate this slight "kink" in later models.

RE: Coolest RC Jet I have ever seen... Not only scale, but an incredible flyer !!!
Beautiful jet! One thing you will never see on a full scale 16 though is the canopy open with the engine running whether on the taxiway or in the chocks. Too much danger of fod from the cockpit. Spent 30 very hot minutes on the taxiway at Nellis waiting on the runway to be cleared so we could take off. And the air con. is useless at idle. Sure wish we could have opened the lid! Just my 2 cents. Bob

RE: CO2 extinguishers
I have hosed full size aircraft with co2 on two occasions, and with Halon once. All three times the fire was out before the crash trucks got there. The two with co2 were generators on B-52G aircraft, and the Halon was on an F-16 with a burst external tank. However, I thought the only hazards from Halon were "drowning" becasue of o2 depletion, and harm to the ozone. In my opinion Halon was the best stuff ever. It is even used on fighter acft to inert the fuel tanks when going into combat. Probably not relevant to our uses, but thought I would add my 2 cents. Bob

RE: New: Beech Baron and Duchess arf
Hallo Scale Flying! I am vey excited and looking forward to seeing the Baron model. Just a few suggestions ; make it the older B58 model , virtually nobody knows what a G58 is. The G58 is very expensive so there is very few of them around. Also most people would want the model to be quite a bit bigger; I would probably will still take one just because it is a Baron. Also have you considered
