Any parts around for the RCGF 65cc & 62cc?? USA
I've been looking for somewhere to get parts for a couple RCGF engines. Went through tons of threads, but no avail. I have a 65cc RCGF that needs a carb spacer, and a 62cc that needs a jug and bearings and muffler. Are there any crossover generic parts that will fit these engines?? or anyone know of a US contact where I could locate the parts I need to get these going? Any help appreciated.

RE: Sig Kadet Senior Thrust Line
I scratchbuilt a couple SR's in a similar fashion that I fly the heck out of. Used 1/8" luan for the fuse (with lightening of coarse), stretched the nose, made a hinged hatch for fuel and battery access, 2 formers with 3/8" spruce rail running from aft former all the way to the firewall (basically an "I" beam). Super strong and leaves entire cabin area open for payloads. 3 piece wing with a center hatch, struts are a must, flaps (not needed but fun), ailerons, bombay, onboard glow, plane locator, camera, video, 20 oz. fuel in the nose, Enya 1.20 four stroke (flies great on .90 2 strk.), 1 degree pos incidence on wing, 1" dihedral, removeable tail parts. Very fast and very slow. Snaps, rolls, inverted; you name it. great fun and extremely durable (my goal). 14 lbs. (without fuel or payloads) takes off beutiflly and will continue flying at 1-2 clicks above an idle. I prefer the weight to handle all wind conditions without concern while everyone else stays on the line talking about flying or not flying. Mounted engine as high as possible on the firewall and built in 4-5 degrees of down thrust and used no right thrust at all. Definately use the wing struts though just to be safe, Upper and lower tail braces are also highly suggested due to the loads that the tail might endure due to the weight. Have fun and good luck.

RE: A Kadet pushrod problem...
I use carbon arrow shafts. They work perfectly. Be sure that your elevator and stab don't have a slight bow after hinging. This also causes a bind.

RE: Twin door bomb bay - Plan or pictures
I built one quite similar in my Kadet Sr. Used 1 standard servos with an extension arm for enough throw. I used 1/16" music wire bent into a long "V" attached to the arm. I used "Z" bends on the ends connected to the control horns. Works great. Springs open, and springs closed so theres no stress on the servos at all; even when loaded up with a couple lbs. of flour bombs. I operate it with the gear switch on my transmitter. Have fun.

RE: Scratch build a on board bomb bay !?!?!
I actually built 2 of these at once. If you use 1/16" piano wire to make a "V"; it acts as a spring to hold the doors open and again to hold them closed. On the second one; I just used a wire push rod connector collar put on the piano wire before bending the "V". Had to put a slight bend in 1 side so doors opened equally at the same time. I put the extension arm on the servos wheel because I just used a standard servos. If you use a retract servos with 180 degrees of throw; you probably wouldn't need an extension. Works great though hooked up to the gear switch on my transmitter. I drop flour bombs, parachutes, candy, etc. I made the drop box removeable so I can add the camera whenever I want to take pics. (I know the pics I loaded don't show the box installed)

RE: Scratch build a on board bomb bay !?!?!
Heres the bombay that I made for my scratchbuilt Kinda Kadet Sr. Pretty simple, works great, and the box has top access and is removeable.

HOW BIG ???
Anyone have an idea how large of a Biplane I could fly with a Saito 180 ?? I have a Marquart Charger kit that most fly with a 35cc-62cc gas engine at about 22 lbs. I'm just getting into larger sized engines and don't really know what to compare a large fourstroke to as far as gas engines go. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

RE: I have a Seamaster but no instructions...
Hello, I have the original kit plans, but they probably won't be much help. You've got a knockoff of the seamaster from eb.... I've seen them and emailed them asking about the differences that I noticed like no hatch for access, and no preinstalled elev. rod. I could never get a reply so I've been skeptical. I did like the Vhull looks & slightly larger size, but questioned the quality. I couldn't find any feedback on them good or bad (Sea Master anyway). I been wanting to hear from anyone thats bought from them to get their opinion. I've also noticed that the Sea Master and the Giant Pitts has been relisted several times by different sellers over the past several months in exactly the same fashion thinking that they've been using several different ID's. Nevertheless; The fin shouldn't be a problem with the former in the way. Just notch one or the other and secure it well using some triangle stock for bracing. I'd go ahead and cut in an access hatch in the rear to install & secure your control rods. If your worried about the engine pod; use a steel fishing leader fastened to an engine bolt on one end and fasten the other securely inside the fuse. check & seal all of the covering seeams well. If it has a glass nose on the front with bare wood behind it; I'd seal the wood with thinned epoxy or polyurethane as well as any other bare wood that might be exposed to water. Use a bead of silicone on your wing saddle then put a piece of plastic food wrap over the saddle and the mount your wing to let it dry making a good fit & seal. You got it might as well fly it reguardless of who made it. Good luck!!

Ok. Still can't post the pic. Says not supported. Anybody got time to give me a quick tutorial on posting pics or maybe I could email it to you and you post for me. I've looked all over this site and still can't find any info on posting pics here. But then again I'm not exactly the Bill Gates type either. Help would be appreciated.

RE: Where to get 3-views & info???
Thanks for the suggestion. Excellent reference site for future use, but they had nothing on it either. I'll try to post the only pic that I know of. It's only a bottom shot of it flying over. I've never been able to figure out how to resize my pics so they'll post, but I'll give it another try. It appears to be a flat bottomed Seamaster type of hull with twin tail booms.

RE: North Star Modifications?
I went to that Skymasters Float fly last weekend. Those North Stars were great. I liked the one with the rounded fuselage and what appeared to be a laker canopy. I also noticed a few of the North Stars had no tip floats , and 1 had no Horizontal stabalizer. The ones without tip floats seemed to do fine. The one without tips or horizontal stab. kept pulling ground loops. Overall those North Stars looked great. Can't wait to get mine finished. I'm gonna try those modifications that were mentioned about the fuel tank & pump.

North Star Modifications?
Has anyone actually made any useful modifications to the North Star? I've seen a lot of ideas on here , but was wondering if anyone has tried any of them with any success. Such as the engine placement, tail position, cg placement, etc. What mods you've made; I would be interested in the idea and result. I'm building my first one, and planning on scratch building a second with it for trying different modifications. I would like to here whats been tried, and what you think of the plane.
