RE: Hobby King turbine!
The cost of the turbine itself has kept quite a few people out of that segment of the hobby, myself included. I know people that have had both good and bad luck with HK products but as far as this turbine is concerned it is a matter of waiting and seeing how it turns out... one never knows.... but I can tell you I sure won't be "First" in trying one!

RE: Big jump in kit prices at Tower
Having not read through this entire thread I can tell you the probable reason for the increases is due to the increase of materials in China. Not only Balsa but also covering, packing materials and transport has increased approx. 20% and many manufacturers held off as long as they could before passing on the increases.
ORIGINAL: mystsoftyme If your hand dr.s house is not paid for you will get a skin graft, I am a surgical asst. and this finger will heal on its on! Skin graft will not take and it will end up healing on its own anyway. save some time let it heal and let the hand dr pay for his house some other way!!!!!!!!
LOL, That was always my understanding... that grafts on fingers don't take well if at all. How many times has one sliced their finger with an Xacto knife and used CA to close it only to have the skin come off anyway? I know I have many times...

I would stay with Futaba myself... have flown with many other radio brands and models with others planes but for my own personal equipment it's Futaba.

RE: pay-pal money FROZEN
Five or so years ago I purchased a product for $125.00, the item was never shipped, the seller was "Verified" through Paypal and all Paypal suggested was to open a claim... a claim which is still open to this day yet Paypal offered NO support whatsoever as they advertised they did since the seller was verified. It was found out later that this seller was indeed a scammer yet Paypal never did a thing about it so as far as I am concerned there is NO way to trust Paypal either...

RE: Jet Flyers Beware, scam artist Shaun Evans loose
Granted I don't post hardly at all in the jet forums but I have to say I saw a few specks of dust on that turbine. That tells me it isn't new once it has dust on it. Why am I being facetious? Because I work in this industry too and have seen very similar "scenarios" on my side of the hobby. Most recently a guy complaining that he bought a brand new airframe completly assembled off of Craigslist, flew it, loved it, then a screw backed out of the elevator and it crashed and expected it to be replaced because in the manual it didn't say to use Loctite on that "Specific" screw, then proceeded to get on RCU and badmouth us.... Point is, you REALLY should have taken an hour in those four months to check the airframe over and most especially BEFORE it EVER saw it's first flight by you. Sorry you might not see it that way but unfortuantely for you that is the way it is and to come on here and try and tear someones reputation apart in front of the whole RC community is beyond reasonable.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread
We CAN ship the Vanquish UPS but usually ship the most cost-effective way for the purchaser. We do not make any money from shipping and with the cost of shipping try to ship the most inexpensive way. Sometimes it depends on the destination as to what method ( UPS or Freight ) we use simply because one may be less than the other, or if they are about the same cost, we will then ship wichever is the quickest.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread
ORIGINAL: rcpattern
ORIGINAL: hezik You do know it will fly without those decal's, don't you?
I completely disagree. The extra weight and drag of the decals make trimming impossible. I would definitely wait to fly. Although it would probably fly better without the JR decals on the plane. SAID 100% JOKINGLY for those who don't understand sarcasm.
I agree....100% I did however find that putting Futaba stickers on my plane makes it almost trim itself! Hmm.... By the way, the plane looks great Peter....
