Looks cool. Now you just need to drop your iPod in there and sync it to the lights.

RE: LM Loong max 2250 3S1P 20C Lipo pack
I have 2 of the 25C ones and 1 of the 20C flying in my TMPro Yak-54. Probably about 12 cycles on each, and they are great batteries. I also have a few of their other batteries, and I'm totally impressed.

Absolutley. We need a didicated Mac simulator, that doesn't have to rely on software that copies windoze.

Cheap 2.4ghz receivers
As we saw with the 72Mhz radio systems, there were some companies that produced cheap universal receivers. Granted some were better than others. Do you think we will ever see cheap 2.4ghz receivers? I sure do miss picking up a $20 receiver for my foamies.

Loose control horn
I saw an article in a recent magazine about how to fix a loose control horn, when the hole is getting worn, leading to a loose fit. I've searched through my mags, but it must have been one I didn't buy. Anyone have that article? Or know where I can get a copy?

RE: I want a Yak 54, need input
Definitley Airfoilz. [link=http://www.airfoilz.com]Airfoilz.com[/link] has a 40" Yak-54 that is an excellent flyer. Mine is about 18.5 oz with a Scorpion 2215-18 and a TP 1320 11.1v li-po pack. They are super tough, and easy to build, especially with the build videos. They fly like a 30% plane, but you can throw it in your trunk.

When checking balance upright and inverted on straight and level flight, where should the throttle be? Half, full, or won't it matter once properly balanced. If it help's, I'm flying an Airfoilz Yak-54 with a Scorpion 2215-18.

I have to triple the Airfoilz. I'm flying the Yak, and will soon pick up the Edge. They are super tough, fly true, easy to build, and fly like a much bigger plane.

The new hinges are great. I just used epoxy to install them in my Yak. I don't think there is any way these can come out. Follow the directions, and what I found really helpful, was the build video's on the airfoilz site.

New Li-po battery, what should I do.
I'm new to the electric side of RC, and just got my first Li-po pack. A Thunder Power 3 cell 11.1V 1320 mah. I assume it's charged since it is reading about 12V. Is there a special breaking cycle that I need to go through before flying?

Comparing motors
How do you compare electric motors? I'd like to find a few to compare to the Hacker A20-20L: 1022Kv (RPM/V) 57g (2.01oz) 15A continuous, 19A burst Recommended prop APC 10x4.7 or GWS 1050 I'm new to the electrics side of the hobby, so figuring out these motor codes is a pain.

Need motor help for Airfoilz Yak... electrics in general
I'm in the process of switching from glow to electrics, and will be getting an Airfoilz Yak. I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out these *&%$@!$ motors! For glow we have 40 size motors for 40 size planes, 60 size motors for 60 size planes, etc... With electrics it's like reading greek. What is a QL2387/14-8A supposed to mean? I know it's not a real motor(I think), but that's a pretty fair example of them. Why can't they simplify the motor name/description a little? I guess that's enough with my little rant, but I'm looking for other options than the Hacker A20-20L. I know there are others out there, how do you compare other motors to an A20-20L? I used to just compare all .46 engines. If it helps I will be doing mostly 3D flying.

RE: Yak-54 140
That's what I'm doing with mine, cutting some of the louvers, probably 2 rows all the way around. I think I'll have enough cooling when I cut for the exhaust on the bottom of the cowl, and I had to cut the cowl for the head to poke out the side. I just hate the fact that I'm so busy with work right now, and now we just sold our house, so I don't know if I'm going to get a chance to fly it this year.

Enough room for carb?
This is what the carb of my Moki 1.80 on my Yak looks like. The front of the carb inlet sits flush with the lip of the cowl. The rest of the carb inlet sites inside the cowl. Doy you think this will allow enough air to enter the carb? Or should I notch out a larger opening?

Great Planes 25% Yak owners, got a question.
Can one of you measure the canopy for me? Would like measurements as it would sit on the fuse. Base of canopy from front to rear. Width of canopy at rear. Heigth of canopy at rear. Difference of length at rear from bottom to top. Thanks, I have the GSP 140 yak, but don't really like the blue canopy, ans was wondering if this one might fit.
