RE: TBM Shock Jet
Hey guys just a quick update on a few mods made on my shock after the maiden weekend. Was traveling the last two weeks but tested the changes before I left. I moved the CG forward since I started out a bit to far back, got a bit mixed up between the wings on wings off positions. Changed the throttle curve on my bee to linear thrust. I use throttle management a lot and having the huge increase in the last 25% of throttle travel did not feel good during the first four flights. Finally, chased down a small air leak since the UAT got more air in it than I consider acceptable after a few min of flight. Did one test flight on these mods before I left and really enjoying the SJ now. Hope to get more in this weekend. Love the bee, kero start is flawless so far and a really great match for the SJ. Cheers Andy

Gerry, thanks for all your help. Sent you a pic on how I made a cut based on what some of our folks here did to make room for the FOD screen on the P60. That took care of both issues. Andy

Hey guys, just moving along with my shock and realized today that the 92 Jet-Tech probably wont go in since I joined the fuse a while back. Any recommendations on how to install it without major surgery? Thx Andy

RE: Skymaster F-15 and short runway flying
Thanks! Btw, clamps had a bit of epoxi in them and one was stripped so I dremeled a small opening below to put on lock nuts from below. Worked like a charm! Andy

Hope to get to fly her tomorrow. One last thing that bugs me a bit are the clamps holding the wings since this is the only thing without any backup. How hard do you tighten these? Andy

Thank you, there is a 800ft field available at times too so that may be the safer option for the maiden. Thanks again!

RE: Skymaster F-15 and short runway flying
Hey guys, just about ready to maiden my Skymaster F-15. It got a P80SE in it, light weight, no flaps no ailerons but speedbreak. Our local fields are all 400ft hard surface. You think thats sufficient? Cheers Andreas
