RE: Where to buy in Canada?
Try Pinnacle Hobbies in Markham, north end of Toronto. They bring in Aeroworks stuff occasionally. As does Hobby Hobby in Mississauga

RE: Introducing the new 50cc Ultimate 20-300
5645's are a descent digital servo. But they are known to not be the greatest centering servo. If you can I would go with 7985's. If you have a budget that you have to work with. Then get analog 985's. The 985's are not digital. But they have a coreless motor and center very very well. strong and fast to.

RE: Great Planes Reactor 120-160?
ORIGINAL: truevine77
ORIGINAL: Bdegan Congrats on the maiden [8D] Its an easy plane to fly, but a whole lot of fun at the same time.
Hey Bdegan I've got a Funtana 1.20 on electric (rimfire 1.20 on 6S 5000). Loving it. I previously had a Reactor .46 that was one of the best planes I've had. I'm looking to get a Reactor 1.20 - what are your impression

RE: Ultimate 50 with DLE 55 muffler
The stock muffler will stick out of the cowl. A lot of guys use a wrap around pitts muffler to keep everything hidden inside.

RE: Great Planes Reactor 120-160?
ORIGINAL: ameyam Barry Cazier, every one needs to have a friend like you. On other thoughts, will this airplane fly ok with a glow say 140 or 160. It does on the sim Ameyam
Yes, and quite well to. Not a 3D machine on glow. I flew it first with an OS160fx. For sport and IMAC type flying. It worked great. It could actually hover. But it was pretty close to full throttle to do it. Here is a video of my son flying the plane on its second flight.

Awesome Mark, Thanks for the reply. I am currently leaning towards the Mintor 110 with the tuned Cannisters for it. The Mintor headers have limited drop options. But I think 70 mm is perfect Thanks Again Brad

RE: Introducing the 100cc Ultimate 20-300
This is awesome. I had the 50cc version through 2009. I absolutely loved it. I have been waiting for this one. But now I have to wait longer. I am up to my eyeballs in stuff for 2011. I even need to buy a trailer in the spring. So there is no way I can justify it. But 12 months from now..... Oh Baby [:D]

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
Yes, the DLE20 looks good in there. Definately looking forward to a flight report and video. A friend of mine is putting one in his. I haven't had a chance to visit him yet to see it first hand. I have been flying mine as electric for a year now as electric. Going into its second winter now. I will probably keep it electric for this winter since it is really easy to transport. At the field I pull it out of the car, slide in a battery, fly, repeat 8 times, go home [:D] I have 8 batteries and don't even have to bring a charger with me. I have yet to go through all 8 batteries during a single outting. I will probably change it the 20 next spring.

RE: PeakModel Sbach 300 30cc Build thread
Yes, Just yellow silicon fuel tubing. Worked great. Colour doesn't matter, I just happened to have pieces of yellow laying around Oh almost forgot.....I didn't have to sand the cannister mount holes bigger with this cannister. It is the ZGR cannister and went in tight without modification.

Here is my cannister install with a DL30 on a Peak SBach 300 The yellow tubing around the canister mounts is siicon, not tygon.

Definately add some triangle stock inside the landing gear block area. On both Reactor Bipes I have had, the gear and block pulled out on both.

RE: New Funtana 125
Hi guys, As ahicks stated, the only reason the yellowing stands out is because there are areas where that particular covering is right next to plain old white ultracote. The printed graphics are printed on a thin clear film that is overlaid on the white ultracote. A friend of mine in the printing industry checked out my plane before it went back to Horizon. He said it was either this clear film or the adhesive used to stick it over the white ultracote that was turning yellow. I had a couple of spots on a horzontal stab where the clear film got peeled up. The ultracote underneith was white just like the rest of the plane. You could clearly see that it was the new process that had turned yellow.

RE: NEW DLE30!
Hi Guys, I started to have a little issue with my DLE30 this morning. Here is a short 2 minute flight from this morning. The prop is a 20x6 Xoar. Motor is at flight # 8. Fuel/oil is 32/1 I started to have a problem with engine. It was miss firing or cutting out. You can here it in this video. I removed the optical kill switch before this flight, because it was turning on and off on its own. Not sure if it s fuel delivery, spark plug or ignition. Any ideas ???? RE: New Funtana 125
ORIGINAL: Bandit Horizon has pushed back expected ''in stock'' date to Jan 2011, but also show ''arriving soon'' too. 3months out is not *my* idea of soon though.[8|] I wonder if they are correcting the ''Yellowing'' covering in the new shipment. Any of the guys that reported this issue to them heard anything back yet? I have an OS FS120 pumper waiting for me to pull the trigger and order a Funtana 125... Bandit
Yes, I spoke with them on Monday this week. They were going to replace my Funtana which was sent to them for the yellowing issue. They were intending to send me another Funtana, but have sinced stopped production. They offered me any other plane of equal value or Credit with Horizon to spend on any Horizon proprietary product. Such as hangar 9, JR, Spektrum, Seagull etc. I spent it on spektrum receivers. Horizon said they weren't bringing in anymore until they get the covering issue sorted out.

Will the price point be in line with the other 100cc planes as the 50's are ? I had the 50cc 20-300 and loved it. I am planning a 100cc plane for next summer. This may be a good option. I love Ultimates [:D]

RE: New Funtana 125
Ok, I have not heard anything in almost 2 weeks, although on my repair account it says "Holding for Parts" I have checked and all the parts are in stock. Except of course the whole plane kit. Charlie said they would most likely replace the plane as they would probably be peeling all the covering off.. Is funny that on the web page it says " Coming Soon " but lists early Jan 2011 as a delivery date. I hate haveing to wait until Jan for a replacement. Maybe I will put in a call to Charlie sometime during the day today.

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
The 17x8 will fly it and hover. Pulls out but not a hard pull. What brand prop is it ? I have been using an APC 18x8 for the last while. I found it to be the best overall prop for me. Verticle is really strong and pull out from a hover is fast and accelerates. I am pulling mid 70's for amps. Everything is luke warm after 10 minutes and I never really exceed 65-70% of the battery capacity after 10 to 12 minutes of flying.

RE: 50cc Ultimate- What should it weigh?
I had the 50cc Bipe last year. Bipes generally don't have that light feeling you get with a monowing. Its kind of a love it or hate it feeling. I love Ultimates, and this was my favorite ...Hands down. I am excited for the 100 cc one next year. They do have a lot of drag and have to be flown in with power. I was 19.5 lbs with smoke, smoke muffler and choke servo. I pulled all that stuff out when the smoke pump died and got it down to 18.5 lbs. It flew fantastic with my MT57.
