RE: Need help with electrifly C12 ESC
No channel 4 is rudder on all rx no matter the brand. Futaba throttle is channel 3. You'll want to plug your esc into channel 3. You need to reverse your throttle channel. Bevo

RE: Li-Poly 3S or 4S poll?
The 3 cells are less money and lighter batteries. If I needed a 4 cell pack I'd buy two 2 cell batteries and put them in parallel. This way when I do my big electric airplanes I can make a 5 cell or 6 cell out of the batteries I have. Bevo

RE: Battery Issue or Plane? - Aerobird Challenger
Yes, a battery can die if it sits too long without being charged. You could try a deep cycle and see if the battery will come back. If it doesn't you may want to purchase a new battery and give that a try. It sounds like a battery problem but you wont know until you try a different battery. Bevo

RE: E-flight 370 outrunner problem.
If you have the 1080 KV I always ran a 10x3.8 APC slowflyer. You could try changing the propeller and see if that helps. If it doesn't you might need to send it into Horizon for repair. Bevo

RE: Will this setup work well, I'm confused!!!!!!
Which speedcontrol is it? Also I'd recommend not using the stock propeller that came with the plane. Look at the APC slow flyer propellers. They are a better prop. I've flown that airplane before. It flies very well. Used the same setup except I had a Himax brushless motor on it. Bevo

RE: Hanger 9 Tribute 36 Arf
I saw that airplane the other day and it looks like a Twist with SFG's on the wing. A good 4 stroke would probably be a 56 Satio or something comparable. Bevo

RE: Time for a new brushless..suggestions?
If you want to try to build or buy a per built brushless motor kit look at the Custom CDR's the single does really well on a 8 oz plane and there double handles to a 15-20 oz. I have a single on a Great Planes Flatout (Turmoil) and the double is on the E-flite Ultimate FX. If your interested look at the hot wind single motor which is a 12T, 24 gage wire. www.customcdr.com Bevo

New E-flite Super Airliner DF ARF
I've already ordered one. The plane looks like a Boeing 777. E-flite has a new 400 series brushless motor combo coming out that you can put on the plane. I can't wait. Horizon says they might be out by May. Take a look. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFL7000 Bevo

RE: Great Planes Yak 55
I've flown one with the Himax 2812-1080 with a three cell 1320. Plane flies really well. Plenty of power to hover and do tricks. It looks great in the air and your have a lot of fun with the full moving stab. Go to this website and you can see the video of the plane in action. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJCC2&P=ML Bevo

RE: Receiver and ESC Hookup Help
The battery channel on the 114f is if your not using the rx for electric planes. Examples sailplane or a gas airplane. Your speedcontrol will be plugged into channel 3 throttle and everything will work fine. Have fun. Bevo

RE: Brushless motor question
The 20 standards for the size. The KV is your RPM per volt. In other words the higher the kv the more speed or rpm. The lower the kv the more torque usually. Two motors you could look at that can handle the weight of the Lancair are the E-flite 400 4200 kv and the Himax 2025-4200kv. Both motors can be put into a gear box and they both can handle up to a 32oz airplane. Bevo

RE: flatouts suck
Sorry, you didn't like your flatout. I love mine. Yes, the instructions were bad but I figured them out. I have a Turmoil with a Custom CDR brushless motor kit on it and it's by favorite airplane. It does all the neat tricks. If you ever decide to give a flatout another chance I'd look at the Turmoil, the Red Bull Edge, or the Flatana. I think they are better built then the Cap 580 and the Extra. I'd also leave the landing gear off. Brvo

RE: Scale 2nd Plane
You should be fine with the bird dog and the Cessna. Both are easy flying airplanes and very predictable. The Cessna probably has ailerons so that would help get you ready for your future planes. Also I'd recommend looking at the GWS Corsair or one of there other warbirds before trying out your Herr kit. Bevo

RE: new here and have TX questions
The JR sx600 is a great radio to start with. It's priced right and it offers a lot of features. The other radio to look at by JR is the 6102. They make it in a package that comes with standard servos and a PCM rx for 269.99 and a micro package that sells for 199.99. Both are a good choice and you can grow into them. Bevo
