RE: Help restoring original Nikko Lobo
I don't know the model# on the one you're looking for but here's a bunch more to look at. Seems to be a bunch of vehicles called lobo. I'm suprised there's this much parts support for a toy grade rc. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModelNew!retrieveModelDetails.pd?modelNumber=14007&brandId=0760&productCategoryId=1407100&seoFormattedBrandName=Nikko-Parts&seoFormattedProductTypeName=Toy-Parts

Heat it up with a heat gun to about 150-200 degrees fahrenheit. It'll turn over a lot easier.

Look around in here. The gt manual is there. Right below it is a "setup guide". When I opened it, they call it a complete tuning guide. Might be what you're looking for. Worth a look. http://rcdocuments.com/?page=1

RE: How often do you lose body clips?
I bought a box of 100 years ago. Still using from the same box. And they are better quality and cheaper than a lot of the ones you find at the hobby shop. http://www.mcmaster.com/#hairpin-clips/=icz3ja

RE: TC3 Team Associated carb adjustment
Need to know what 18 motor it is. As an example os 18 cvr. That way you can find the manual for that particular motor and get the factory settings. Then you have a starting point. Factory settings are different from motor to motor. Without the factory settings you're just guessing.

RE: repinch
If you heat it up to about 200 degrees f before you try to start it, it'll start a lot easier. Easier on the rod, too.

RE: KYOSHO ?
Might get 40 50 bucks for it. Less if it didn't have the belt. The belt drive might sell it if someone's looking for a belt setup for their own optima. It's that car's best feature. The rest looks kinda rough. If you can find a kyosho forum you might find someone who'd buy it just for the belt drive. If mine was still chain drive, I'd buy it. "First generation Optima with belt conversion" I bet somebody'd buy that on a kyosho oriented forum.

RE: KYOSHO ?
It's an optima chassis. javalin and salute used that chassis too. looks like it's been switched over to belt drive. The original chain was a pita. I've still got my turbo optima.

RE: New Engine Installation: Day Three
If it's dry a little oil in the plug hole is good. I know some don't preheat their motors but it's important on a new motor. It releives a lot of the pinch tightness and is a lot less stressful to the rod. Makes for a happier motor. No broken rod either. Can you post a pic of the flywheel, clutch and small flywheel?

RE: New Engine Installation: Day Two
I'd put some oil in the plug hole and use a heat gun. As hard as it is to turn over cold, you're probably going to have to heat it to start it.

The idle screw is the one with the spring. This clutch is a lot better than the stock gt clutch. No creep. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MIP-4-n-1-Clutch-RC10GT-MIP3012-/360420048411?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53eab57e1b

RE: Problem with Redcat Shockwave engine
Have you tried heating the motor up with a heat gun and/or loosening the glow plug before you try to start it? That will help if it's just tight. It's hard to diagnose a problem without any info. Kinda like, " my car won't start. How come?" Can you turn the motor over by turning the flywheel with the plug in?

RE: Any tips for first start up?
Just my opinion, but I'd be heating that motor up with a heat gun before I started it at least till it's broken in. It's hard on a new motor to start it cold.

RE: Carb stuck, idle speed stuck, what to do?
The end of the idle screw fits into a ramped slot in the moving part of the carb. It has to be in that slot.

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*
If it won't adjust enough you'll probably have to put on a little bigger spur gear. A few teeth on the spur gear won't kill the effect of the 24 clutch bell. Still gonna be a big change. Lots of motor for that truck.
