RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
ORIGINAL: skyracer068 I fabricated my own mount from plywood. The stock mount broke after 4 flights.
Someone is selling aluminum T-28 Motor Mounts. I think it's a good idea but, the factory mount is made to collapse and will not cause that much damge. If you crash with this aluminum mount you will have to repair alot more because of less give. On the other hand, you can use this mount for a park 480 motor with a wooden mount attached lik yours. RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
Hold you hand like you holding a hot plate with your palm up. The palm must be at the base of the back part of the wing's bottom as you grip the fuselage with you fingers. When you toss it make sure it's level or just above level after it leaves your hand.
ORIGINAL: w5kfg Here is the short vid of the taxi test Bill B http://www.rcuvideos.com/item/QDZL09Q2PZNBWVV8
Hey Bill, I had a turning problem with my [link=http://supercubclub.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=pb&action=display&thread=1192506688]Piper Pawnee / Supercub mod[/link] due to a lack of dihedral. It flew great while in straight level flight but, once the turn started it lost stablity. The next time you do another taxi run, back off the throttle and see if stops the motor tork from rolling the plane to the left. What size prop do you have on it? Try a lower pitch prop on it and this may calm down the tork problem.

In order to use this setup you need to add a [link=http://www.dimensionengineering.com/ParkBEC6v.htm]ParkBEC 6V[/link] or higher to supply power for the extra servos.
ORIGINAL: w5kfg My flying buddy came over today and showed me his Focus 400. The motor is equivalant to a bp 2408-21. looks like the power to weight ratio is good for this plane. I question the foam body holding up in the event of a mishap. If I was to get one the only mod I would do is to make it a tail dragger. Has anyone here taken this plane off from a grass field? RE: Hobbyzone Super Cub on Floats!
It help if the prop is behind the tip of the floats. The key is the have the tip of the floats cut threw the water not push it. It also help with taking off because, the prop tip will make contact with the water if to far forward. This will help, [link=http://supercubclub.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=flts]SuperCub Club [/link]

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
When I first got my T-28 I had the same problem. The prop adapter was installed the wrong way from the factory. I then noticed the adapter allen lock bolt was on the round part of the shaft and not on the flat side. This can also could be caused by them not tightening it down enough. This caused the vibration for me, I installed it the right way and it was gone.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
ORIGINAL: kereams With having the extra two servo's on that E-Flite 25A, according to the manual, you are pushing the limits well beyond what it's capable of. I'm not sure I would mention that to Parkzone. Cheers, Keith
Maybe but, those servos aren't in use like the rudder, elevator, and ailerons seros are. The motor shutter started before the flap mod. I have 6 other brands of ESC's and the LVC's comes on differently on each one. I just thought this ESC had that normal motor shutter before LVC. The flap servos should not pull that must power when they are up. By that servo rating on the link they would be pushing it by having 4 servos on the plane with 3s lipo with bec enabled. The motor started to shutter before the ESC started smoking. Why would they use a 5ch with X mod setup if the ESC could not handle it?[sm=confused_smile.gif]
I went ahead and ordered a ParkBEC from Dimension Engineering just to be safe. Best of luck.
