FE F-16 1:5.5 Whos got one
I don't want to start a brand issue war..I am considering buying one of these and would like to make an informed decision. I've search this site and others for comments on the FE brand. I'd appreciate hearing from owners of this bird about issues or compliments. Many Thanks Bill Jarrett VIRGINIA JETS June 7-9 2013

RE: Question to Jet Event Contest Directors
ORIGINAL: rhklenke
ORIGINAL: RCJetBazz Can't agree more, By the way, what if a CD decides to be a Mr. nice guy to allow such an airplane to fly at a jet meet, what would be the proper procedure to file a formal complaint against that CD or CDs?
You've got to be kidding right?!?! You're going to b!$^# and complain about who gets to fly to a *volunteer* who took *his* time to organize an event at *his* field and you want a *formal* way to do it? Sorry, but jet flyins are AMA Class ''C'' events which means there are NO rules - other than those made by the club/CD holding the event. You certainly are within your rights to have a pleasant, adult conversation with the CD and present your objections to having an electric ''turbo-prop'' plane fly at a ''jet'' event, but get in the guys face or threaten to ''file a formal complaint'' and he'd be within his rights to tell you to blow it out your &@^... I take it by your comment that you have not spent the time to become a CD or hold an event. If that's the case, I hope you don't spent a lot of your time telling CDs at events how to do their job. Its a lot of work and *everyone* I know (with the exception of perhaps one or two profit-seeking individuals) goes out of their way to make sure everyone has a great experience - but not at the expense of other attendees. Bob
Go ..Bob. Look.... the formal complaint dept would simply be ..don't fly pack up and go to the house ...Decide that is not the event for you and pick a new event to attend This is supposed to be Fun... as a CD for a Jet event..My number one job is that people are safe AND #2 are having a good time...Good enough to consider telling their friends and showing up the next year.

RE: Question to Jet Event Contest Directors
I say leave it to the CD.... If you think other pilots are OK with it ...its a go.... By the way...The Comparf Tucano from Joe Nall belongs to my friend Dennis Shrewsberry... If its a question of speed differences His electric Tucano has been clocked at 140-145mph. I think you could argue Jets vs Jet Powered all day..and ultimately it is the call of the CD of the event

HOOKER, Just pitch on the Rookie.....My bolts are 20mm from fuse end.... You should come over and fly with us one weekend... There are a couple of us flying jets at our site ...I fly a eurosport and a DV8R in and out without problems....My friend flys comp arf Tutor and Tucano ...Skymaster T33 out of same place..... Takes about 90 mins from Martinsville LORONI, I'll give the upside down a try..... If you turned your engine over with plug straight up (12 oclock) you'd see my original problem..Thanks for the Pics...Very helpful

Comparf Rookie Question
Trying to wedge my Kero Start P 80 into airframe with thrust vectoring Seems like clearance for the glow stick is a problem to get engine in square...What was the common solution for this problem ? Do most jet cut an access hole in the top of Fuse and let the plug cap hang out ? Cant the engine 45 degrees and do same ? Appreciate the input Any pics very helpful Bill

RE: VIRGINIA JETS - NEW EVENT JUNE 9-10
Many of you who are traveling longer distance to our event have asked about flying on later friday afternoon> I'll be checking with the AMA to see if I can extended our insurance coverage for an extra day . Be advised that we are flying at an airport and our group holds a high responsibilty to the airport commission have have allowed us to have this event. I will post here as this unfolds next week. I wouldn't mind getting a test hop or two myself...But not at the risk of the loss of the facility use. I'm certain everyone here understands the position. I'm on it .. Bill

RE: VIRGINIA JETS - NEW EVENT JUNE 9-10
One more week to go and everyone here is really looking forward to meeting each of you that have called or posted about our very first Jet Event To answer the questions, YES you can set up on Friday and leave your pit up until Sunday. We will be there all day on Friday working last preparations. Our club will have someone on site camping to watch the facility for the entire event. We also have acquired the use of a Large Hanger to store planes overnight so you won't have to break them down. I will have the pilots meeting at the crack of Dawn if you like..But I'm shooting for 8:30 Sat morning So everyones in the air ASAP.. In regard to the cell service... Local service is from US Cellular and Verizon.. Airport is within a mile + - of multiple towers. We will have SUV with trailer for aircraft recovery if you decide to see how far down the runway you can land. We hope that we've covered all the bases, and appreciate each and everone in our RC community that have answered our questions in planning and organizing this event.
