It's not just you Steve. I believe it was designed longer to make it a more stable flyer. And fly well it does! Hey, I'll sell you mine and you can just drive on over and pick it up!

The DLE 30 is a fine engine but I don't think you'll be pleased with this combination. I run a ZDZ 40 and that would not want anything less.

I used that landing gear strengthening method and it didn't work well for me. I found a guy who made a set of carbon fiber gear for me and ended that problem. He is unfortunately not producing the gear anymore.

No worries Tom. Maybe someone else will have a set. I tore two holes in the leading edge today during a deadstick and I don't know that you can repair this stuff. I could swear I was past those bushes!

Hello gents (you too Pat and Ralph), Does anyone have pictures of a good round cowl baffel setup? I'm putting together a 95" Pitts 12 and want to keep my DLE 111 in good shape. I looked at the links you have all provided and didn't see anything with round cowl detail.

We need to keep this thread up front so people can see it and not send money to RT Models. The owner Scott Bolomey is in jail and it would be a crying shame to see people have problems because they didn't know the facts.
