RE: US 120 Lite and a OS FT-300
TFF,it's already had a G-38 and CRRC40 on it.When I got the airframe I cut the firewall back about three inches,so I don't think it will be nose heavy. The FT-300 is lighter than the G-38,not much lighter/but still lighter.I think this engine will be easier on the airframe too!!!It's smooth as silk. Thanks for the input Jim.

US 120 Lite and a OS FT-300
I'm putting a OS Ft-300 on my well worn US 120 Lite and I'm kinda worried about ground clearance.Would a 18x12 MAS prop be enough prop for this combo?Anything over a 18" prop is pretty close to the ground. Thanks for any advice Jim.

RE: OS engines users Club
Morning all I've got a question;I bought a OS 300 and it's on ignition(CH Ignitions) does anyone have picture of how the three leads are hooked up?I know one goes to the sensor, and one goes to the battery, but where does the third one go?This may be off topic but I've searched everywhere I could think of,and the CH ignitions site is down. Thanks in advance Jim.

Just an update guys, started my engine yesterday, and it ran great!!!Ran it with no muffler, very loud but a good loud.I'll probably buy a Mac's adapter plate and muffler. It started on the first flip(hand start)with the original plug that was installed in 1984. Thanks for all your help Jim.

RE: OS 40 FSR
Thanks guys when you said clones I remembered that I had an old TT42 and its rear crankcase gasket is just what I needed. Now I have a couple other problems which way does the arrow on top of the piston point towards the exhaust port or towards the intake port? Also the flat sealing side of the head has a machined "dimple"on it does it have a certain way it goes?I took this engine apart about twenty years and one move ago so the old memory is kind of foggy. Thanks again Jim.

OS 40 FSR
Hey all,am wondering if anyone could point in the right direction as to where to find parts for my old OS MAX 40 FSR.This engine was my first brand new store bought engine(1984).I've got new bearings, but I need a gasket set and possibly the o-rings for the carb.I'm restoring my first trainer,a Bridi Krafty 60,and this engine is it's powerplant. Thanks in advance Jim.

RE: Nitroplanes Shipped Junk Seniorita
Hey all, well I finally got a refund notice from nitro planes today.Funny I could never get in touch with them by phone or e-mail since before Christmas, but one little e-mail to PayPal and I get an e-mail less than 24 hrs later?I didn't get a full refund,15% restocking fee,but still better than nothing right?I don't understand the restocking fee thing, why should I have to pay to have a box of junk restocked?I also had to pay to have said box of junk sent back to junk box warehouse.Ok I feel better now, lesson learned.I wont be spending any more of my cash at nitro planes. These people have no ethics,so beware. Later Jim. PS I read the Chinese are trying to get the job of building CA's high speed rail system!!!!!!!
