RE: summer Fuel mixture recommendation
The single greatest cooling effect comes from pumping methanol through your engine,....open your high-speed needle. High ambient temps. have a way of balancing out,...the high air temps provides less cooling but also, do to the low oxygen content of the air, causes the engine to operate at a lower power output and thus create less heat. The production of heat is in direct proportion to horsepower. The problem is some people try to recover the lost power by leaning the air/fuel mixture raising head temps.

RE: Reactor verses U-Can-Do 3D
I need some more input from guys who have flown both planes. These two planes are very popular so there has to be a bunch of guys who have flown both. I need to pick a winner based on these parameters, 3D flight quality ease of build durability And the winner is????????

RE: Reactor verses U-Can-Do 3D
I am really interested in 3D flight only, I have other planes for pattern style flying. What about over all quality and ease of build, either stand out in these areas?

Reactor verses U-Can-Do 3D
I am looking for an inexpensive, throw around 3D plane and these two seem to fit the bill. How do they compare? The U-Can-Do is a little less money but the Reactor looks better. Flight quality is my first concern. Do they need similar sized engines, they seem about the same size and weight. Has anyone flow both and care to give a report?

RE: yak 54
I do not agree with the theory about using a Y results in lower servo performance verses each servo on its own wire because no matter how many servos you have on the plane they are feed through a single wire from the battery. The receiver does not have the ability to amplify the current from the battery so all the power must flow from the battery having only a single wire. Now if the receiver had a capacitor or some way of storing or increasing the available power I could see the benefit of using individual wires for each servo.

RE: Aero-Works New 60-90 extra - has ANYONE flown? OR other recomendations
trpastor, How does the Aeroworks compare to the Fliton Extra 330? My favorite plane is the Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle with a Satio .82a and I am planning on ordering the Aeroworks Yak tomorrow to give my Fliton a break. Will I be happy with the Aeroworks after flying the Fliton?

RE: Want A YAK ARF
I have recently had to make this very same decision. After much research I narrowed it down to 2 airframes, Aeroworks .60-.90 Yak and the Cermark 25% Yak 54. I already have the engine and servos I plan to use in the Yak and the Cermark was just a little big for them, so I am ordering the Aeroworks Yak.

RE: What fuel for Saito .91
The truth is if that engine goes down it will not be because your fuel was 2% below perfection, it will be from operator error. I will keep this simple, run at least 18% oil and 15% nitro if you have plenty of power and 30% nitro if you don't. Castor verses synthetic is a cultural debate, not scientific.

Hey Aeroworks guys, I have a question.
I am getting ready to order my first Aeroworks ARF, matter of fact I will probably drop the order this afternoon. I want to be certain I am ordering the right plane. I have my choices narrowed down to the .60-.90 Yak or Extra. I am leaning towards the Yak since I already have a .60 size Extra and would like to try the Yak airframe. I am by no means set on the Yak, so if for any reason, looks, build quality, flying ability you guys like the Extra over the Yak I would be just as happy with the Extra. Thanks for your help![sm=thumbs_up.gif] P.S., If it matters I am powering with a Saito 100 and using JR DS821 servos on all control surfaces except rudder with a stronger digital on rudder, all on 6volts.
ORIGINAL: victorzamora The yak is a gorgeous plane, man. If you like it half as much as I like my Extra, you're going to be one happy guy!
Yea, I really had a hard time deciding between the Aeroworks Extra or Yak (.60-.90). The deciding factor was the fact that I already have an Fliton Extra 330 and want to try the Yak airframe.
ORIGINAL: ro347 Aeroworks 46.-.61 Edge 540T Or maybe the 60-90 extra and yak Aeroworks just released.
Those three are on my short list. I have a couple of complaints, the Yak and Extra are very expensive for a .60 size plane and all three of them are lacking air-foiled tail surfaces, something my Fliton Extra 330 has. I am not sure how much of a difference it makes?

Fresh look at the old question "3D plane for a Saito 100".
I know this has been discussed several times but things may have changed since the last time this question was asked. I have money in hand to order a plane for my Satio 100. It needs to be very 3D capable and full fuselage, no profile. I have a Fliton Extra 330 Freestyle that I am very happy with but would like something to give my Extra a break every once in a while. So, if you where buying a 3D plane to power with a Saito 100 what plane would you get? Thanks for the help![8D]

RE: STUKA - Enya 60 replacement - Saito 82a?
I love engines!!![:D] For my style of flying the engine that produces the most power at the lowest RPM wins,..and this would be a 4 stroke. This does not take away at all the virtues of a two stroke, for all out power for cubic inch the two stroke will always be king but with a very narrow RPM range.

Regardless of the models ability to damage the airliner, the guy has to be punished publicly. This type of activity is detrimental to our hobby and very likely to be duplicated. This guy is a victim of his low IQ, kind of feel sorry for him.[8|]

I have it narrowed down to two choices, either the Peak Model 25% Yak, (Red, Yellow, White), or the Peak Model 25% Sukhoi SU 26. How much difference will there be in the way these two airframes fly? Which one would you guys choose and why?
ORIGINAL: jamesrxx951 go with gas it's cheeper to buy the engine and run. mld 28 vess 18/6 prop 8100 rpm
If I go gas I will build a bigger plane, 35%-40%, I am comfortable with glow and for know want to stay with it. Like I said earlier my next plane will be a large gasser but for now I want to build one more glow plane. This Yak will be my excuse to try a YS engine. I have never owned a YS and have always wanted one. I have the following engines on planes; .46 Evolution .56 Saito .82 Saito .100 Saito It seems the next step should be a large glow and I want it to be a YS 110 or 140, then I will move onto gas and never look back.[:D]

RE: STUKA - Enya 60 replacement - Saito 82a?
Ed, What does top speed have to do with power? Your argument is like saying that a 110hp Toyota Celica is more powerful than a 625hp Peterbuilt because it is faster? To find out which motor is more powerful take the average power output from the entire RPM range of both engines and the engine with the highest figure wins.
